Darkfang obsidian eyes studied the time mage while he worked. What matter of creature was he? And what were the chances of his magic having ill-effects on her, unintended or other wise. Still...the prospect of learning the future, gaining that forbidden knowledge and power made the risks more than acceptable.

After about an hour he frowned and pulled out a notebook and scribbled a few things down "Hmm... no... ah of course!: And went back to scribbling, shaking his head "So obvious..."

"Yes.. one of my formulas wasn't adding up right... and for that one I had forgotten to add the two pony variable... I'm not used to using one. I'll be done in a few minutes. I'm just going to double check everything"

He grinned excitedly and soon they were surrounded by swirling colors before coming back once again to the woods "Were about 5 years ahead now.."
((Er.. do you have plans of what they would see or did you want to skip over the time travel mainly?))
