Falina frowned as she stepped into her room quietly. All the others were asleep, and she collapsed on the vacant queen-sized bed, curling up in a ball. She felt...confused. Burying her face in the pillows and allowing her exhaustion drown out those thoughts, the orange-haired woman dissolved into sleep.

Venix and the others had fallen fast asleep, as they had used a lot of energy that day, and they were tired.

Avenger was lying on his bed, looking at the ceiling. He never slept much, and this time he was especially restless due to what had happened. He had hoped Falina would forget the incident, or just write it off as a dream, but he doubted she would. He looked out the window after a while to see the sun beginning to rise. It was morning now.

The orange-haired woman yawned, blinked a couple of times, and sat up. The picture window to her left let in a bright burst of morning sun, and she stretched lazily. Rubbing her eyes and allowing her body to fully awaken, Falina pulled the covers off and stepped out of the bed.

Doro had risen hours before, as he usually did, at sunrise. He spent the wee hours of the morning stretching, and doing a couple exercises-- he had to keep his body in top shape--and had some quiet, reflective, thinking time.
He was worried. His owner hadn't been in the hotel room when he'd slept; and he didn't even remember her coming in--he must have fallen asleep before her return.
That fact in itself was worrisome. And, given the events that had happened before any of them had gone to bed, there was plentiful reason to be anxious.
So of course, he was fairly shocked when she had gotten up, smiled at him, and said good morning--as usual.

Falina sighed, staring at her cup of tea as the herbs mixed with the water. A smile--false, but a smile nevertheless--lay on her face as she brought the cup up to her mouth and sipped. Contemplating. Doro had been staring at her as if bewitched for the whole time she was up, and she wasn't up for worrying him needlessly, so she acted as nonchalantly as possible.
"So, what are we going to be doing this morning?" His question brought her attention back to the present. The house was quiet; the little ones still asleep. She replied, "Well, we'll see what the two wee ones want to do," punctuating it with one of her typical smiles, "I here they have a breakfast buffet here. We'll probably hit that." She certainly hoped Doro was convinced by now. The orange-haired woman wanted to leave last night's incident behind; at least for the moment.

Avenger got up after a little while, noticing that the others were still asleep. "well...I'll let them get their rest. I think I'll take a walk then." he muttered to himself, exiting his room and walking down the hall.

Stretching and yawning, Falina took another sip from her mug, savoring the minty concoction. My favorite, she thought to herself, sighing. The orange-haired woman rose.
"Hey, Doro," she addressed him, and he looked up at her questioningly, "I'm going for a little stroll. If the kids aren't up by nine, could you wake 'em for me?" He nodded, and she stepped out the door into the hallway.

Doro sighed as she left. He KNEW something was up with her... She was too quiet that morning, much too quiet. Rubbing his temples, he stared out the window. It had something to do with Avenger, didn't it?...

Avengers mind was running full blast as he walked down the hall. He didn't even pay attention to where h was going. He didn't notice he was walking towards Falinas room, getting closer and closer every second. All he saw was the floor beneath him, and all he heard was his own voice as he muttered to himself.

The orange-haired woman looked up just in time to see Avenger heading straight towards her. She froze up, panicking, wondering why he was there. Falina took a couple steps back, and looked at him cautiously, waiting to see what he would do.

Avenger kept walking, right past Falina, as if she wasn't there. His muttering could be heard, just slightly, as he moved past. He continued walking, turning the corner and disappearing from sight.

Falina blinked as he walked past, watching him go, wondering if he really hadn't noticed her. Tilting her head to the side, she began to quietly follow him.

((pfft. I dunno why, but I find that scene funny. rofl

(I do too...)

Avenger kept walking, unaware of Falina's presence. Under normal circumstances he would have noticed her immediately, but he was distracted by the events of the night before. "how did she sneak up on my room last night...and why did I just let her leave...I should have made sure she wouldn't tell my secret..." he muttered quietly to himself.

As Avenger mumbled to himself, the orange-haired woman listened intently. Her concern, fear, and sadness deepened at every sentence. She felt a grim, bitter satisfaction at being able to follow him without detection. Falina stifled a sigh and kept on walking.

Avenger sighed. He had finally made up his mind. "well...I guess there's nothing I can do now. I'm not going to threaten her...it's not right..." he muttered. Suddenly, he stopped walking. Something was wrong, but he didn't know what. Now that his mind was cleared more, he was aware again. He stood in plece for a moment, moving his eyes left and right, trying to spot what was wrong.

Falina stopped, crouching instinctively, silently. She flinched. If avenger caught her there, she'd be up to her neck in trouble. Maybe it'd be best just to come clean...

Avengers hand twitched and he reached into his pocket, taking out a throwing knife. Somethng was near and he knew it, but how long had it been there, and why hadn't he sensed it before? He shook the thought from his head, It didn't matter. He was going to take care of the problem now.

Gritting her teeth, she decided to act before her instinct took hold of her.
"Dammit, avenger, what's wrong with you?!" she shouted, standing up straight and looking at him.
"I'd never tell anyone about what you said back there. So just.... stop it!! Don't you even trust me a smidgen?!"
