The Lady smiled weakly. "Of course, I will have a written copy ready for you." She motioned to the butler, who left the room to get a hard copy.
"I do not know the exact location this poem is referring to. However, to me, it sounds like it is a statue of a lady by the sea." Way to state the obvious from the poem. There were tons of statues of women by bodies of water in the universe. "I would suggest first thinking of anything that might be like that in your worlds. If there isn't, we will go from there."

"I can think of two possible places from where i'm from that at least somewhat fit the discription. I wouldn't put money on one of them though since it was made fairly recently. The other is in a mid-sized city on an island in the middle of a gulf." Jonathan didn't bother using the names of these places; the names really wouldn't mean much to the others, unless they were from his planet, but at this point he highly doubted that.
"I would say that it's better to try and think of any other options first before going to either one of those. The area around one of them is hard for civillians to get into because it's a millitary installation. The other is full of pirates and rouge-factions that hate any government interrference." When he had started talking he had finaly broke his stare from the Lady and looked to the others so that they could hear him. "What about your worlds. Any places worth investigating?" He asked the others.

Ian by this point had sat down, listening patiently to the others talking. All this talk of other worlds and doom's days wasn't making much sense to him but he felt it impolite to interrupt them when they were speaking. Eventually he made the connection between doom's day and the huge mess that was currently going on in his home planet. However the prophesy about a giant statue of a woman by the sea threw him completely. "Wait, what? I can believe the part about being in a different world. No problem! There's evidence of it. But Giant statues? That's pushin' it a bit far!"
The out-burst came as a surprise to the one armed sand elf who scratched the stub of his arm, while looking down at the table in embarrassment.
"There are no places like that on my world. Besides, Nothing that big is left standing anymore.

Hope, having a career that naturally caused her to travel widely, could actually give a well informed answer, "There are statues on my world, many by the sea, but none that I have ever seen or heard that holds a torch or is called the Mother of Exiles. If she is mighty in size or deed I would have heard of this."

Mishaweha pondered his question as he others responded.
"There are, on some coasts of my world, ancient ruins where there are female statues." she said after a moment. Some of the places she had seen with her own eyes, while on her adventures; others she had only heard tales from others who were more brave than she. Most were giant elves, as they were an old race who often built such frivolous things. "But often these vary in size, and are often in pieces. No single one is more lauded than the others, or is given any particular name..." she mused, more to herself than the group.

"Have any of you heard of the planet Earth?" Cyler had been sitting at the table with his feet up trying to recollect where he had heard of something that resembled the clue. "Well while peforming many bounty killing's I came across an ancient tome in a library of a corupt politician. It mentioned of a place known to all the many diverse rces of Earth as New York. Many people from all over the planet's surface went there in the search for a new begining. Maybe purhaps this is what The Lady speaks of." Cyler waited for his response by sitting in silence and waiting for The Lady to confirm or deny his suggestion.

Jade shrugged. "No, I don't really know of one on my world... only places by the sea are lighthouses. No giant women. Wait, does it have to giant women? There are plenty of female statues all over the place. No torches though." This sounded like it was going to be annoying. Where else could it be?

The Lady listened as the others voiced their opinion and then looked at her. She smiled softly. "I do not know what world this is on, but I can transport you to the worlds to explore."

"Well if at all possible I would like to head to Earth. I've always wondered what it was like there." Cyler began to close his eyes and listen to the others sugestions. "I wondered what people would think of me if I told them. Well if i told them about what I am." Cyler melted back into his seat.

"Personally, I have no preference where we start so if someone has strong feelings one way or another I am fine with that. I just would like to know, if we eliminate all the planets that we are each familiar with as NOT having a statue that fits this description how will we then pic of the multitude that are left?"
Hope paused, "On second thought, let's cross that bridge when we come to it."
Looking around the room at each one individually she asked, "Does anyone else besides Cyler feel strongly about their home planet or any other planet they know of as a place we should start?"

"I think that starting on this 'Earth' might be a good start. It seems that Cyler has the best lead among us," Mishaweha said. None of the statues on her planet seemed to sound similar to the one in the prophesy. Besides, how would she explain her traveling with (mostly) humans?
The tauren looked to The Lady. "You can give us a portal there?" she asked.

Jade had never been on any other worlds before, so she didn't have a preference. "As long as it's not super cold," she mumbled. If the lady could transport them, that was convenient.

((yeah, you and me both.....i coulda sworn i posted earlier though....))
"Okay, it sounds like we've got a place to start." A thought dawned upon Jonathan at that moment. He looked around the table at the diverse people who sat in the room. Each of them were dressed completely diffrent. Jonathan assumed that the tome Cyler spoke of didn't have anything about customs and culture, social life, and mannerism about the planet. Too be honset, he couldn't help but feel like they would stick out like a sore thumb. He didn't like it, but if they didn't have any of the information to keep themselves from drawing any attention, they would have to do some recon work first.
"I just thought of something. We don't know anything about this planet. I don't know what you guys think, but it's probably best if we draw as little attention to ourselves as possible. That also includes appearences. Maybe we should find a way to blend in?"

Ian blinked at the suggestion of trying to blend in. "What do you mean 'blend in'. I look perfectly normal." Addmitedly the group was going to stand out but Ian just wasn't going to change, just like that.
Turning to The Lady Ian asked, "So how soon can this portal or whatever be used to get there. I mean we all have lifes that we need to get back to, so the faster we do this, the faster we can go home. Right?"

Jonathan had a good point. Not every world was the same.
"Yes, I can portal you over. I can't guarantee where exactly it will let out, but that same portal will be how you get back here, so remember where it is."
The maid and butler returned at this point. The butler had the written copies of the prophecy. The maid whispered into the Lady's ear. The Lady nodded and smiled as she turned to the group again. "As for blending in, I believe that world may be mostly human. Maya has done some research, and it looks like now would be around the time they have a festival where everyone dresses up as something different and not always human. So, disguises may not be needed.
However, you all should do some research on this New York so you know about it."

Sheesh, that elf newcomer sure didn't want to be here. "If there is a life to return do. I'd rather us do it right, then fast!" Jade mumbled loud enough for everyone to hear. It wasn't really a mumble.

Hope stood up, "That's settled then! Let's do this!"
Looking at Jade and grinning, she winked, "Let's do this Right!"
Turning to the Lady she added "I'm sure none of us left any gear in our rooms, we've all had a nice nap, and a full meal. Have or can your people pack us up some supplies for two weeks? Can we leave right now?"
