Usagi Zendrake Theonlyspiral Usagi, I was wondering....could you take time out of your busy cooking schedual to teach another Modist how to cook as well as you do? Sure! What kind of things are you interested in cooking? Comfort foods...things like Mashed Potatoes, Sheapord's Pie, Lasanga...stuff that just makes you feel good. All I can really cook right now are Nachos and Taquitos...

Katane comes out of the kitchen carrying a big crock pot. She sets it on the table, and hurries back into the kitchen. She returns with a ladle and some bowls, serving herself a generous portion.
Home made New England Clam Chowder. My favorite food in the whole wide world.....
Anyone who some can have some.

Theonlyspiral Usagi Zendrake Sure! What kind of things are you interested in cooking? Comfort foods...things like Mashed Potatoes, Sheapord's Pie, Lasanga...stuff that just makes you feel good. All I can really cook right now are Nachos and Taquitos... Mashed potatoes are the EASIEST thing you can cook. You just peel some potatoes and stick them in water. I usually cut the potatoes in half or quarters depending on how big they are because then they cook faster. Put the pot on High and boil the potatoes. They'll take anywhere from half an hour to an hour to cook depending on the size of your spuds. When you can stick a fork in them easily, the potatoes are cooked. Then you drain the water. While the potatoes are in the drainer, melt some butter in the hot pot that the potatoes just came out of. Put the potatoes back in the pot when the butter's melted. At this point there are two ways to mash the spuds. If you want fluffy potatoes you can use an electric hand mixer or if you want "home style" potatoes you can use a hand masher. Either way, this is when you add the liquid. I use straight cream. It makes the potatoes taste richer. But if you don't have or don't want to use cream, milk will do. Add it a little at a time because if you put too much in then the potatoes will get soupy. If the milk has cooled the potatoes off too much, you can warm them back up in the oven. Voila! Mashed potatoes. Sometimes I like to put shredded cheese in the potatoes too. Tomorrow I'll dig out my super easy lasagne recipe and post it.

Mmm, lasagna...
At the moment, I could really go for a warm cup of coffee and something sad and sweet on the radio.

William_Black *Bustles about the kitchen making Baked Ziti.* Usagi, where do we keep the Parmasean (sp),Mozzarella, and the grater? The Parmesan and Mozzarella are in the drawer in the fridge above the drawer where the veggies are stored. The grater's in the drawer over by the stove where the wooden spoons and larger utensils are. Mmmm. Ziti! heart

Katane walks up to the table, placing a covered basket on it.
Hi Usagi! I caught some Spicy Tuna, but I'm not too fond of spicy foods, so I was wondering if you would have any use for it?

I'm sure someone would like Spicy Tuna sushi or grilled Spicy Tuna steaks. Put it in the larger refrigerator, please!
