Kain began to look worried. "I just remembered something about this place." He looked at Miraldae wondering if he would be worried by the news as well. "There's the chance that drakes and wyverns really can get into these mines. There's a tunnel from the Belkan cave that leads here. I've seen feral dragons travel through it all the time. I grew up in Belkan with my parents."

"Feral dragons. Now that could be a problem." Miraldae said, looking serious for the first time. It was true that there was a tunnel connecting Belkan to here, but as far as he remembered only dwarves and dragons lived in Belkan. "Well, then I suppose we should go find Lior then." Miraldae said, giving Kain a suspicious look before turning on his heels and begining to walk in the direction that Lior has disappeared. "What did that guy say his last name was again?" Kasofi asked suddenly. "Arylkia." Miraldae replied. "It sounds sooo familar..." "I know. I wish I could remember..." Miraldae mentally muttered.

Kain smiled idiotically again and followed after Miraldae and the other two who had run off down the tunnel. He was a little confused as to why his personality hadn't switched in a while, but he wasn't going to complain. If he could stay with one personality and be able to think clearly then that was fine with him. He just hoped he didn't go ballistic soon and try to hurt somebody.

Kain thought he heard the sound of several feral drakes nearby and ran down the passage to find Ian running towards him. Kain jumped over Ian and reached in his pack, pulling out the cursed axe. He charged at the first drake and dug the axe deep into its chest causing instant death. He pulled it out and dodged as a drake tried to bite his arm. He swung the axe up and cut into the drake's neck.
It roared and pulled its head back, making him lose grip of the weapon. In such a narrow cave only one could come through at once. Kain dodged another attack and jumped up to grab the axe, pulling as hard as he could to get it out. The drake roared again as the axe was removed from its neck, the wound bleeding heavily. Kain cut at the other side of its neck and managed to cut its head off. He jumped back as another drake tried to attack him.

Miraldae heard the sound as well and followed swiftly after Kain. Seeing the drakes ahead of him, he drew his sword and charged passed Kain and the first couple drakes to give him room, then rammed his sword into the chest of the fourth drake and ran underneath it, splitting its stomach wide open. He nimbly dodged an attack from the fifth one as it tried to bite him, then stabbed deep into the drake's eye, hitting its brain and killing it. His sword, however, got stuck in the drake's skull and as Miraldae attempted to free it the sixth drake hit him head. With a heavy thud he hit the wall of the cave and fell to the floor, only to roll moments later out of the way of another attack from the drake assaulting him. A quick slash at the drake's foot made it recoil and Miraldae lept for its throat, splitting it open with a quick slice of his sword.

Kain quickly killed off the third drake with the axe, the blood coating the blade and not even dripping to the ground. He ran up to the last drake and struck it in the chest, ripping through its scales and catching it in the heart, once again causing instant death. He sighed and put the axe at his side, hoping he wouldn't need it later, but holding onto it in case he did.

"Sure you did." Miraldae said sarcastically, sheathing his sword. He seemed to be obvious to the fact that he was bleeding from two rather large cuts on his arm and two on his leg where the drake had hit him. "You're not a bad fighter, Kain. It takes a lot of skill to be able to switch fighting styles, even between battles." he said, turning to face the dragon. Miraldae had almost thought all those weapons were for show, but if he could use them all, well he'd have to be either a genius or really old.

Lior stopped, hearing assorted voices that sounded all too familiar. "Oh, damn! They followed me!" she complained to herself. "I was hoping they wouldn't." Lior said, sighing. "And now I can't finish my song or they'll hear me." she said with a pout. She drummed her fingers on her staff. "Maybe if I get 'lost', they'll lose my trail, and that dragon will be all mine!" she said confidently. Lior got up and headed in the opposite direction, hoping to lose the others.

Kain looked at Miraldae confused. "Really? I just kinda fight at random. I was sure that the lightning blade wouldn't be much use against a dragon, and fire would only heal them, so I just pulled out a weapon at random." He looked at the axe and watched the blood soak into the blade. "Hmmm, it hasn't done that before." He scratched his head.

"Say what you will, but it takes a lot of skill to fight "at random." Miraldae said with a shrug. He pulled out his sword again and cut out a rather large chuck of one of the drake's hide and slung it over his shoulder before sheathing his sword again. "Well, if there's drakes like these around then there's no doubt Lior is probably in trouble. Ian, did you happen to see which way she went while you were running like a scared little girl?" Miraldae asked, joking with the vampire a little.

Kain stopped paying attention and focused it all on the footsteps he was hearing. After all, they may not hear it, but he could, his hearing was a bit more sensitive than anyone else. "I hear something." He took off after the sound and he began to smell what he knew must be Lior. It was a scent he hadn't smelled before until he'd met these people, but the scent was coming from her.

Ian growls and walks farther into the cave <She is trying to lose you so she took a different path. I don't care where you choose to go but the dragons treasure is mine. Along with it's blood.> He said blankly and walked farther into the cave...

"You can have the treasure, but if you can't handle a drake you should probably give it up." Miraldae said with a laugh, running after Kain. He strained his ears, trying to hear something as well, but he couldn't hear anything. "Hey Kain, you're nto human, are you?" he asked as they ran. "I could have told you that." Kasofi muttered in his head. "Well why didn't you?" Miraldae replied, rolling his eyes. "Well I don't know what race he is." Kasofi responded simply.
