:Suri shivered with fear. The arrancar's cold finger seemed to scrape down her spine, and his whispering voice echoed in her mind of a disastrous past. She could feel heat building at the nape of her neck, but was frozen stiff, far too paralyzed with fear to react to the threat, even though her mind was screaming at her to move, to run, to attack, to do something.
Silent tears started to trickle down her face, coming faster. Ashamed, Suri wanted to bury her face and find a different place to be so that none of the other shinigamis would witness her crying, but even that was prevented. Nothing could inspire her to move. She found comfort in the fact that Captain Daven had noticed and stood near. A reassuring part of her mind told her that the arrancar could not kill her with Captain Daven there.:

Ryan, upon seeing the arrancar, ran hard. With Daven's distraction, he managed to get behind this unknown arrancar. He drew his blade, placing it in front of the arrancar's neck. "You're not getting me again, arrancar...I don't take well to wedding crashers." His eyes were tight and focused, boring into the back of this arrancar's head. "One is a tragedy. Two doesn't happen."

The Arrancar dissipated and shown up outside the cathedral. He opended his palm shot out hundreds of Ceros.
"Die! ha!"

Michiko stood and took a step back to give Bull,Tagg and Feiy some space, and also subconsciously doing so as she felt Daven's reiatsu spike. She drew her zanpaktous.

Toushiro finally made it to the newly formed battleground. "This is gonna be good. damnit I should have brought popcorn." Toushiro's eye's glared and he felt his ice reitsu build up as he clenched his fist. "Standing by, Daven." he said with a serious look now.

"Damnit!" Razil leapt up, and tried to block a Cero that was going to hit the Cathedral dead on, he would be hurt, but he couldn't let his new friends die, his only hope was that they wouldn't kill him outright, he had so much to do in Soul Society yet...

 When the arancar reached forward with his hand glowing, Daven moved. He shot his Reido off, totally engulfing the Arancar and destroying all his ceros before they could go anyplace and hurt anyone. In the few seconds of complete stunned shock that was on the Arancar's face, Daven moved close, with his fist glowing black as pitch with his eyes shooting the same fire. "I won't allow you to hurt any more of my people." From less than a foot away, Daven did a full power, Reido enhanced punch into the Arancar's throat.

(( I have to thank you Tagg XD You just gave me the perfect opportunity to reveal my history. I was thinking of how to do it without having it be one of those "Sit and talk with the Captain" sessions. ))

Maxi pulls a scrap of paper out of his book and smiles. "Ah here we are... Stupid Kidous..." Maxi mutters and raises his hands, "kyōmon" Causing the glace like barrier to form behind Feiy, Maxi then repeats this process 4 more times creating a shelter around Tagg, Feiy, Bull, Michiko, and himself.

all in a flash, everything happened so fast."Damnit, and I ran all the way here!" he punched the ground, leaving a good size mark. He spontaneously entered his shikai."Biyou." he said with a deathly serious tone. His ice gauntlets had formed, giving him a good boost. "Now to go back.." and without another word, he dashed off to the cathedral.

Razil stopped as the Cero was swept away by the awesome power of the Captain. Once again, he saw that he had picked the right squad. He sped towards the arrancar, Zanpakuto twirling in his hands in case Daven needed elp at all.

s**t. After the arrancar disappeared, Ryan couldn't help but think he'd just ******** things up more than necessary. Either way...
The first blast hit the cathedral, and Ryan could hear in his head the familiar, feared siren. He'd heard air raid sirens before, and had hoped to never be on the receiving end of one of the things. Daven would be safe, but as for Suri? Without thinking, Ryan grabbed Suri, who seemed to be frozen, and pulled her down to the ground along with himself, making sure his body was protecting hers. I can't block the initial cero, I can't take care of the arrancar. I should at least protect whomever I can.

:With shock, Suri could feel Captain Ryan pull her down to the ground, smothering her as he prepared his zanpaku~to for any new attacks. Knowing that she was next to useless in the current situation, Suri allowed herself to be stuck under the pew. She showed no signs of struggling, and with the arrancar right outside the cathedral, she did not even know if she would be able to run if it should come to that. However, she felt safer with so many strong Captains around. Her only regret was that even as a Vice-Captain she could not aid them at present, so immobilized by her situation. It was not something that she could deal with later.:
