Diana OConnell I grew up on austin, went to collage in south texas does that make me a red neck? Now y'all don't be feelin' bad all the sudden. Grown' up down thar in Texas don't be makin' anyone a red-neck. lol Hehe... but seriously, just growing up somewhere doesn't make you a red-neck, it's just a stereotypical thing. razz

tamcharles Kagen Williams tamcharles KatDrama Diana OConnell difrant people have difrant tasts, personay I can't stand country, though the rest of my famly loves it. What do people have against Country music?! scream Likely the big belt buckles and it's stereotypical affiliation with the "red-necks." lol What you got against us rednecks *says in a local voice* (wasn't born and raised where he lives now)Haha... well personally, I was just playing around with the stereotype of rednecks put forward by King of the Hill and the Dukes of Hazzard (series, not the nasty movie). Hehe... I actually know a guy down-south by the name of "Tex" so hehehe... I honestly have nothing against southerners. But don't get me started on the Amish. talk2hand lol xd You are in bloody Canada! Everything is 'down south' to you. xp
Being a redneck is a lifestyle to be honest. Doesnt have to be determined where you grow up. There are alot of rednecks in the more.. central states such as; Tennessee, Louisiana, Alabama, etc... However, you also have them in Utah (more of the small town areas however), Nevada, Texas, Montana, Wyoming. I grew up in southern utah in a larger town. Was more of a punk-a** then anything else, moved to a small little hick town and the bloody personallity and lifestyle grew on me. I don't get in as much trouble with the law now as I did then. xD;

Welcome to Canada eh? Yeah everything is down south for me. But there are still those up north and well... let me tell you... they may not be called red-necks but they hold a close second place when it comes to lifestyle. lol
@xuvrette: Hehe... sounds like someone wants turkey. smile

You know you're a red-neck when your family tree doesn't branch. rofl
I'm not from down South, but there's red-neck's up north too. I think there's two breeds of red-necks: southerners and northerners. The southern red-necks wear cowboy hats and big belt buckles and do stupid things related to southerners. The northern variety wear hats with ear flaps and tell lots of hunting and Ole and Lena jokes.
