Seto continued to spy on the strange woman, rather surprised to see her walking on what looked like nothing. If that didn't prove she was a ninja, he didn't know what would. With that in mind, he stalked a little closer, hoping to get in earshot. It was pretty easy to see what she was up to, but the problem was... why? The only thing he could think of that made any sense was... she planned on using that puny little boat to travel for the mission.
Keeping himself out of sight, he crept even closer, within jumping distance of the ship itself. That was when he heard a low, annoyed voice come from above. "Uh...what the f**k do you think you're doing?". Seto knew this was his chance to get an answer or two, and help out the little delinquent. He glanced side to side: noone was even close to paying attention. Grabbing the ends of his hood, he pulled it forward, dousing himself in what looked like watery gel. As the substance covered his body, he put his hands together, and silently performed a transformation. Deciding to stay fairly generic, he tried his best to impersonate a standard merchant/pirate combo. Pulling a gooey tendril from his "backpack", he got a hold on the ship and hoisted himself up, hopefully unnoticed.
By this time, he had a view of his target, but with no time to act yet. For now, he would observe in the shadows, and await an opportunity to strike.

Quote: Well, you didn't pick up on my clues of how to join the mission rather easily, but oh well... I'll force you into it... Vykin was busy trying to figure out a logical reason as to why she would be aboard a cruise ship undoing the ties to the safety boat when she saw something that she could use to help her get out of this situation. She saw a shadow that just jumped onto the ship. The guard must've seen something out of the corner of his eye too, because he followed Vykin's gaze over to the figure that suddenly appeared on the ship. Vykin didn't sense any danger from him, so unfortunately, that meant that whoever that was was going to get ******** over. Vykin said in her most innocent voice, "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to come up here. I was just supposed to be the distraction! He said that he would kill me if I didn't! Please, you have to kill him for me!" The guard was taken aback at this sudden change of things as he said, "It's alright ma'am, it's not your fault. I'll take care of this," he quickly moved to intercept whatever the hell just landed the boat as Vykin removed the bladed device that replaced the lower half of her left arm. She quickly reached up and caught the hook of her blade into the pulley that was holding the boat up on the dock. After twisting the blade slightly, she accidentally cut the rope, and the boat went falling down. Not to disturb the plan she had just put into play, she grabbed the rope, burning her hand as the rope went down her hand, but she managed to stop it, the boat nearly breaking her arm. She jumped off the side of the boat, digging her clawed blade into the side of the ship. Hopefully, they would be too busy partying to notice the clawing noise that was happening on the other side of the wall. Vykin's new boat made a splash as it hit the water, but it wasn't nearly as bad as it could've been. She quickly made preparations to get the boat out of the docks and out to sea quickly, hooking up the oars into the hooks onto the side of the boat and got seated nicely. She was ready to head out now. She began to pull the oars quickly and silently, skillfully beginning to pull away from the boat and out of the marina.

Seto cursed his luck...and his apparent amnesia of all things ninja. He couldn't even seem to sneak around anymore. Still, he had one trick up his sleeve he could never be without. While still in the shadows, he rearranged his transformation jutsu, changing his face into that of a more demonic, terrifying presence. "This had better work... I don't have time to play with him! If I don't catch her now, I'll lose my chance..." Digging deep within himself, he prepared for quite the act.
Just as the guard approached Seto's location, Seto bounded toward him, with a low, monstrous roar. Baring sharp fangs, he snapped at the man, pleased to see him stumble backward in fear. Or, Seto had at least startled the man, which was close enough,a s far as Seto was concerned. He gruffed up his voice, keeping it low and angry. "That girl ismine! Stay out of my way, unless you want to be next on my menu!" The guard, too stunned to act properly, simply started scooting back from the beast before him. Seto didn't have time for such stalling nonsense, so he sprung forward, and used the man's face as a springboard to jump ship. Were Vykin to look back from her little boat, she would see the young teen again, with a much more gruesome face, coming at her boat at full speed. While Seto knew the impact on the water wouldn't kill him, he couldn't assume that the girl knew the same.

Vykin looked around, seeing that she was making it away alright, but as she turned towards the crew ship behind her, she noticed something... interesting. There was some sort of monster jumping off of the cruise ship towards her that looked demonic, something not of this world. Vykin blinked slightly, and wondered if this was a Genjutsu and she was already caught. However, she couldn't risk anything, so quickly, she moved to the aft of the ship, putting one foot on the rudder and with her good arm, she pulled the rope that hoisted the sail on her ship. There wasn't any wind in the marina, but she did have chakra. She sent chakra behind her, sending it like a wind towards the sail. She looked behind her as the demonic thing was approaching the water. Vykin's foot moved slightly as she narrowly avoided a collision with another boat. She only had so much chakra to spare towards fueling this ship, so if this thing was deadly, she would have to deal with it quickly so she could escape in a timely manner. Whatever the thing was, it was going to cause a loud obnoxious fight to alert everyone to her presence if they noticed... so she could only hope that she could kill this thing in one hit. She stood at the end of the boat, the blade on her arm slowly gathering chakra around it, strengthening it to a more powerful weapon. She was ready for whatever the hell this thing was.

In the name of profanity, the loud word shouted by Seto will not be written as he heads for the water. Knowing the water in front of him wasn't nearly as soft as what he was wearing, he quickly yanked off his disguise and sent it forward to cushion his large splash. Coughing and sputtering a bit, a normal-looking Seto rose to the surface of the water, pulling himself into a seat of a watery pad. Panting a little, he looked around, then saw a large bladed object pointed in his direction. Startled, he jumped back, and fell back into the sea with a resounding sploosh. "H-hey! watch you point that thing! Do someone a favor, and they're just ready to stab you in the back... and people wonder why I don't make friends." As he was crawling back into his seat, he looked up at his target with an unhappy glare. "You had better be one of the teammates I was supposed to find for my mission." he gave her a once-over, and didn't see a headband anywhere. This fact made him wary, and slightly regretful, for mentioning his mission at all. "You certainly look like a pirate..."

Vykin noticed as the demonic figure fell towards the sea, that it turned into something rather less than demonic. The green haired kid that was on the dock supposedly getting drunk was now falling into the water in front of her. A small splash occured and Vykin stopped the chakra flying around her body. As the boy swam over, she permitted him to board the vessel, and almost instantly he began glare at her as she began to steer them out of the marina. This kid was now a liability now that he knew who she was. If he caused problems, she'd just have to slit his throat to be quiet, so it was convenient that he had boarded the ship with her. A mistake in her favor. But as the boy started to talk about some mission and then mentioned the word pirate, it was Vykin's turn to reverse the glare that had been given to her. The Genin now knew that this punk knew about their mission too. But at the same time, he said that it was his mission. Oh great, leave it to ******** Hatari to add someone to their mission that wasn't planned on. The Genin swore under her breath and said, "Great, now I have to teach another ******** shinobi how to sail. ******** my life."
The rest of the voyage was spent in silence as Vykin steered them clear of the marina and towards a hidden cover that she knew about. This was where her old house was and there was a cove nearby so her father could set sail from his own home instead of the busy marina. Vykin docked the boat, put the sail back down, and tied up the boat as she jumped out, offering a hand to the green haired shinobi. She said somewhat in an annoyed tone, "The name's Vykin. Did you get briefed on the mission yet?"

It didn't take a genius to figure out that Vykin didn't like Seto...at all. he didn't rightly care, but at least the grumblings let him know he'd found his correct target. With one less burden on his mind, he was now weighed down with many more. First off, the only person he knew on this mission was a complete jerk. Secondly, he had no idea where she was going, or if she were trustworthy in the least. But, he had to make do, so he played along for the time being.
"Seto Ha....well, just Seto. Yes, I've been briefed, so no need to be so snide, sempai. This is an infiltration and espionage mission, and I was selected because of my expertise in the latter field. Of course..." he sighed, hating to have bad news as the first calm thing to come from his mouth. "I've been having... difficulties, with a few things. I'm sure you don't care, so I'll spare you the details. Just know that I can't fight, I'm here to serve, and I'm ready to abort if you don't need me. Considering the situation, I can't let things like pride cloud my already foggy judgment..." It was unusual for Seto to be so downtrodden, especially when he was supposed to be at his best. His personal dilemma was digging deep at his psyche, making him feel more useless than ever. "Just...just tell me what to do, and I'll do my best..."

Vykin helped Seto out of the boat as he began to give her is life story. But something she didn't expect to come out of his mouth was sempai. The Genin smirked slightly as Seto continued, talking about how he was skilled in the espionage department. That she could say was for sure, considering the wicked transformation that he had managed to conjure up on the cruise ship. Considering that the dude was already turning into a depressed mess as he began to continue onto his struggles in his training, Vykin couldn't help but snort and give a small chuckle. After giving him a pat on the back with her good arm, slightly pushing hit towards a path that lead to the village, Vykin said, "You don't seem that strong of a shinobi, but you know what, you're supposed to ******** up when you're a young shinobi. Hell, did you even think about why the ******** half of my arm is missing?" she said, moving the device that was attached to her arm forward a little for emphasis. The Genin then said, "And if you're concerned about my annoyed tone from earlier, don't worry about it. I'm a b***h. What can I say? One of the people on this mission calls me that as a nickname rather than an insult. Now, we need to find the other people that we are going with to make sure that everything is ready for us to leave. You said that you're good at espionage, right? So do you think you could play the part of a pirate?"
She smirked slightly towards Seto, thinking that the kid was slightly retarded, but she liked him. If he was going to be teary-eyed all the time, she would just have to beat that emotion out of him. She'd teach him how to be a pirate all right.

Seto wasn't sure if Vykin was trying to cheer him up, or make him feel worse. He hadn't screwed up, someone had screwed with him. But, regardless, he felt the need to clarify. "Well, I just thought if you wanted me to know about your arm, you'd tell me, I'm not going to pry on what seems to be a touchy subject." Seto looked around, not really taking in the scenery. He simply kept his eyes on Vykin, following her through the corridor. "I wouldn't say concerned, but I won't argue with you, on any of the points. You didn't have to throw that idiot at me, though. Sure, scaring him senseless was pretty easy, but I wasn't exactly prepared..." Seto sighed, shrugged, and rolled his shoulders.
"As for the pirate look, I can do just fine. My refined transformation jutsu lets me assume any role, without having to worry about chakra expenditure, or being canceled. You saw that already though, so I don't need to explain, I guess. You don't have to worry about me, I can handle a few dumb buccaneers." He smirked a little, wetting his hand in his hood.

Vykin smirked slightly, considering that he was complaining about her reaction on the cruise ship, but he soon said something that Vykin wasn't about to let him forget. She began by saying,, "Well at that time, you were just an innocent bystander that I didn't care about. Surely you can't blame what I did to you," but her face went serious a second later as she stopped walking and glared Seto fiercely as she said, "And don't think that pirates are complete dumbasses. That's going to be your downfall if you come into this mission thinking that. You'd be surprised how crafty your buccaneers are when they have a scimitar to your throat after they figure out your charade..."
The Genin then continued walking down the path from her old house to the village. She had no idea where Tsuki, Sorain and Sai would have ended up, considering that they were going to be getting suited up for the job, meaning getting a little bit more sea-worthy clothes. The Genin smirked slightly knowing that her outfit wasn't going to be looked at strangely. It was open, allowed her to move around and was plenty ready enough to take the ship, considering that she sailed in her normal free time. She didn't really address Seto as they walked anymore, not really being the social kind of person. She had explained what they were doing, or at least it had been explained to him, so it didn't seem like there was much of a need for communication to her. She continued looking around for Sorain and the others, wondering where they had run off to.

Seto was getting a little tired of talking to Vykin, considering half of what she said was something snide... and the other half was just vulgarity in general. She seemed very uncouth, so he kept his contact to minimum, including staying behind her to avoid locking eyes. While they were walking, he went ahead and re-donned his piratey-merchant disguise, letting his water mold his image into something convincing. Noone was there to look at them, so he had time to experiment until he found a look that suited him.
There was something specific she said that caught his notice. Why, oh why, would a pirate be using a scimitar? Perhaps if they had pilfered from a few eastern countries, it was possible, but he always figured most pirates used cutlasses and straight swords. Then again, privateers come in all shapes and sizes, so he didn't think on the concept too hard.
Then, another idea struck him, and this one forced him to speak. "Er... sempai... I was told there would be more than two people on this voyage. Are they already at the destination, or have they fallen behind? Or, perhaps... was I misinformed? Considering how things have been so far, that seems to be a distinct possibility..."

Quote: Hooray, Vykin claims another victim! And ********, I meant cutlasses... oh well. Though we can't proceed until either Sorain or Raven get on... Or Antonio, but he's grounded at the moment... so yeah Vykin nodded slightly, noticing that Seto had moved to following her. She looked over her shoulder as she went to respond, "So far there are three other people that are coming along with us. There's two other Genin from the Mist Village and then a Genin from the Rock Village that are going to be officially joining us. If you can count, that makes five of us so far. That boat can fit seven so we could get two more if we really wanted to. But I doubt we're going to find any more people that are willing to go on this crazy mission with us. But I suppose that we'll see. There's one that has pink hair, one that's blue with some implants or something weird like that, then there's one ridiculously good looking brown haired chick that we are looking for. They should be looking seaworthy too, but who knows." The Genin continued walking as they entered the town. She took a left so that she avoided the main marina, considering that the guard HAD seen her, so she would be questioned if anyone from the marina saw her. So she headed towards where a majority of the shops were, considering that's where she figured that they would be around there somewhere if they were trying to get new outfits here. Vykin continued walking down the cobbled street, trying to find out where the other shinobi had ended up.

Vykin's description of their cohorts for this mission didn't give him much to look for, unless the mutli-colored trio happened to be traveling together. Then again, Vykin would probably notice them first anyway, so all he really had to do now was plot his actions for the future, and tag behind Vykin. If not for the captain hook fashion statement she was equipped with, and her mind-numbingly violent personality, she wasn't the worst person in the world. But, Seto's mind wasn't as polite as his writer.
Seto glanced about, trying to keep track of where they were goin, 'lest he get lost. "I can't say I come to this side of...er... town, often. You know where we're going, yes? Like I have to ask..."

Quote: *wonders where Elemenata and L-Raven went... I'm trying not to post as much because of that, but I still want this to keep on going... Vykin smirked as Seto asked if she knew where she was going. Of course she knew where she was going. Vykin said with a sarcastic emphasis, "Yes, my sober young friend, this area is what I like to refer to as the barcrawl!" Vykin outstretched a hand as they turned a corner, revealing that this street right next to the merchant street that they were walking in. Sorain and Tsuki hadn't popped up yet, so they were probably still in a store shopping somewhere. That meant that Vykin could take a detour and show Seto where she normally ended up hanging out every evening. The reason it was called the barcrawl was because when you were drunk off your a**, then you had to crawl down the street to get to the next bar to get even more drunk... or home if you were a p***y. The Genin lead the way as she pointed out each bar and their highlights. "The Crooked Warden, a place where thieves and the underworld like to hang out. They keep to themselves, but when they get angry, you can witness a shinobi fight there if you're lucky. Now that is the Red Dragon Tavern over there. Doubles as an inn, but mostly the people who are too drunk to go home stay there for the night. They serve a really good seasonal ale there, so there's a lot of visitors there around the fall, because that Autumn ale... so good. Since it's a tavern, they also offer food, so if you have a craving for something more substantial than alcohol at night, always hit up a tavern, because beer with any food makes it taste great. Then we have The Cracked Pot over there. Pretty shitty beer overall, but the crowd there is pretty cool. You can find pretty hot people hiding in there, and boy do they make the s**t beer worthwhile. Then you go further down and find The Flaming Peacock, that's the local gay bar. I go in there when I'm not fixing to get laid that night, because gay people are often times more enjoyable to dance with than straight horny guys. But you get the occasional "gay pretender" that goes there just to pick up chicks in a unique style I could go into more detail with, but I'll refrain for now. "Then you have the Tea Cup, an experimental place where they mix tea with shots of beer. I've only been in there once, because after that, I realized that all the snotty rich people go in there because for some reason, they think that tea with alcohol is more high class than normal beer. Interestingly enough, the drinks were pretty good, but it wasn't that good to get drunk off of. Though it was funny to see the featherweight rich people get drunk after one cup. That was funny... Then you have the Smoldering Cauldron. It's more of a rave area than truly a bar, techno blasting inside of it after around five. But there is a bar in it, and it's always fun to go in there. If you are interested in some other controlled substances, people normally sneak it in. Cocaine and Ecstasy are the two biggies in there. But let me tell you, never ******** a virgin on ecstasy, because no other sex will feel as good at any other point in their life. Next we come to a gentleman's club named Diamonds. Pretty lame name if you ask me, but whatever. There's several poles in there for women to dance upon, and if you're looking for sex... well, I guess from a woman's standpoint if you want sex, that's where to do. You'll find a lucky guy in there somewhere that's good looking. If you're a guy and you can't get laid, then I'd go there just so you can see something to get off to, but they are pretty strict about the no sex thing with the dancers and such. Now that's the end of the first street here, but it goes on for another block, wanna take a look at what the second block has to offer?" Vykin was smirking now, wondering if Seto even cared, but if he was ever going to be a cool badass, he needed to know these things so he knew where to go to get down in whatever way that he needed to.
