I listen to Phantom of the Opera while doing my homework.
PostPosted: Fri Feb 10, 2006 1:54 pm

That's something old, and maybe I even posted before, but just in case I'm writing it again.

When I went to Japan, I saw PotO Musical ads EVERYWHERE. The first one was seen only by my dad. While I was around Shibuya with my cousin (who lives there) he was... somewhere else. When he got home, he told me that he saw this huge screen (for those who don't know, Tokyo has many enormous screens around the streets tha play ads. Most of them have sound) with a long PotO ad, and the Overture was playing! I asked him for a detailed description of everything, but he told me he didn't remember. Everything he said was "They showed the white mask sometimes, and the Phantom..." Anyway, a few days later, we went to the other side of the city for New Year. When we were getting out of the train (or was it the subway? Can't remember...) station, I saw... A POTO AD! I was so hyper. I took a picture, which I'm posting right now. ninja

Later that day, we where in a train, and suddenly my cousin pointed to the window and said: "Look! Phantom of the Opera!" I immediately turned my head and saw an IMMENSE ad for the musical, in a bulding. It was really far from the train, but we still could see it perfectly... I wanted to take a picture, but:

1) The train was moving.
2) It was too far away.
3) There was a glass between me and the holy ad. gonk

A few days later, we were in the train (again), and the little TV (again, for those who don't know, they have little TVs everywhere inside the trains, that show commercials) began showing an ad for Cats. It lasted a few seconds, and then... THERE WAS POTO! I was hyper, again. It was very short, you saw the chandelier falling, then the logo mask, then lots of stuff written in Japanese with the Masquerade in the back. Really really awesome. whee

Complete randomnesss, but anyone who attends west virginia university or has ever visited the Wise Library, you must admit that the rotunda simply screams Phantom. i mean wth the awesome huge chandelier and the elegant facade and the marble staircases.....I'm going to start practically living there, because I'm certain that when Erik isn't in his lair beneath my closet (behind my giant mirrors), he skulks aroun the rotunda and the robinson reading room. *foams at the mouth* ERIIIKKKK!!! WAIT FOR MEEEEE! redface lol

I was at my little brother's orthodontist today and I wa slooking at random pictures of kids who got their braces off and I noticed one if the kid's name was Erik. Spelt just like that, I freaked out. Then I saw this tree branch that looked just like Red Death's mask.

well, sam decided to become the phantomess of the clay-Battelle girl's locker room. here's the plan: My school was built in the early forties, so it has all of these dark, creepy passages in the basement (one of which goes to a cold-war era bomb shelter, but that's another story) anyway, one of these passages ends up right outside the door of the girl's locker room and is set up perfectly so that the phantomess ninja can hide herself around a corner and watch for her victim (the friend who got her hooked on Phantom but now makes fun of her for her obsession with all things erik, including her assertion that erik also skulks around the bowels of the school while the phantomess ninja is in class (while she's home he lives in his lair beneath her closet, behind the giant mirrors)) in a carefully placed small cosmetic mirror. When said victim is in sight (and preferably alone), the phantomess ninja will trigger the hidden cd player to blare "Insolent boy! This slave of fashion, basking in your glory!". And said victim will either 1. fall over dead from shock eek , 2. scream and run away in fear, or 3. come tramping around the corner to kill the phantomess ninja because she knows who is behind this trick (she won't catch me, remember, I can see her but she can't see me, and I know those passages like the back of my hand). Funniest of all, my accomplice is my French teacher, Madame Debbie, and she's covering my tracks with the admins while i skip the very end of her class to get in place. Yes, I am mean, yes I am psycho, but admit it, if you had the resources, wouldn't you do it too?

I have a couple of psycho stalkers who remind me of the phantom, and then I listen to the music all the time.

Okay this was hysterical and I'm not lying.

I ran an amazon.com search on "Lesbian" since I'm tyring to gather some self help books for me and for my parents (I found one by Kevin Jennings which I'm gonna buy). Anyways I run the search and one of the last items on the page was "Phantom of the Opera 1990"

I was like.... GAH! ERIK! STOP FOLLOWING ME!
(If it was Gerik he'd be like... ooh seeing Christine getting it on with another girl=sexy... he seems that kinda sketchy to me)

I had an interesting day. I had my practice road test the other day with my instructor. And he's a HUGE theatre person and I gave him as a gift a copy of my 2k4 soundtrack. And so he'd complained to me earlier about how he was disappointed with the production he saw he was very upset because he'd been listening to Michael Crawford since the beginning. So lalala driving along listening to the soundtrack. We get to... "I have brought you to the seat of sweet music's throne." You know what I mean. And he turns to me and proclaims "This guy is the best I've heard since Michael Crawford and I've heard alot." I'm like... O_O Joe.you.rock.

Ok, well, I have this friend named Erik in my band class. (I sit right next to him cause I play Bass Clarinet and eh plays Basoooon) And one day we had to get our report cards form our A period class (band), so me and Erik were talking. We decided to make a 'how much like Erik is Erik?' list. Here it is:

1) Erik
2) Plays piano
3) Long boney fingers
4) Catholic
5) Likes cats
6) Interested in music
7) Phantom= Operas Basoon=Drama
8 ) Obsessive about soemthing
9) Skinny and tall
10) Can do magic tricks

Yeah.... and whenever I tell my friends I liek him they say "Is it just because his name is Erik!?"

I have a friend in my history class that I recently found LOVES the 2004 movie.

Also, today in English class we had to make up characters, write about what they think about, and also their whole lives.

Maureen [my character] had Susan Kay's Phantom as her favorite book, had a mini abridged copy of it in her purse, and one thing she wanted to steal was the Phantom half-mask used in the Broadway show.

She also had an older sister named Delilah.

On one page, I called her a "phan", so I wrote the definition of phan on the side. Sadly, I wrote "A fan of PotO", so I had to put the definition of PotO on the side as well.

Ah, I think about PotO too much, especially during English class.

I went to this demonstration yesterday against the CPE , well anyway the person that was leading us was named Eric (with a c sad ) and I saw somebody that wrote lyrics from POTO on his school bag. I tried to see who it was but the streets were so crowded... But I was so happy knowing I wasn't the only one who loved phantom around here biggrin

Okay, I was listening to the chorus of Taking over Me by Evanscence and it reminded me of Erik and how his phans feel for him. Read this and see what I mean.

Amy Lee
I believe in you
I'll give up everything just to find you
I have to be with you
To live, to breathe
You're taking over me

I don't know if it'll remind anyone else of that, but I know it does to me. XD

The list goes on. [That was only part 1]

I was looking in the T.V. guide and saw a movie called "Point of No Return" was on. I was like "HOMG, It's PotO related! ^.^". Sadly, the movie had nothing to do with dear Erik, or ANYTHING even Phantom-esque. Talk about disappointing. >.<

Today, my chorus director got really mad at us and walked out of the room. [The Bass section wasn't singing loud enough, and he said it over and over]. It reminded me of when Erik stops speaking to Christine for that day in SK's book.

Yesterday in Art Class I saw people making masks out of plaster paper. So I asked the teacher if after I finish my pencil holder [for my desk] I could make a half-mask, and she said yes. I can't wait!

Dude, I totally have Erik's mask. I bought it at Hot topic. I wish I could take a picture of me wearing it, but sadly, my webcam is crappy. *Sob.* But it's way cooler that you can actaully make it.

My friends and I are into the anime Initial D. It's about racing and such, and everytime the Nissan Skyline appears, it plays the opening organs of what I believe is Tocata and Fogue. The organs are the lead-in to a Eurobeat song "Back on the Rocks". So, I always play that when I roll up to my friends with my windows down.
