Shemei smiled, "It is because you are use to seeing with two eyes....it makes it easier to judged depth of an object..." she said then smiling softly, "Well at least I think so....but you will get use to it dear." She held his hand gently and started to walk slowly.

Firrah nodded and clung tightly to Shemei's hand as they walked. He blamed Casimirio for doing this to him ... but he wasn't going to let it ruin his fun with Shemei.
"Which way are we going to go first?" he asked, trying to sound happy and cheerful.

Shemei watched him, she could tell something was on his mind but she she did not think she should ask and upset him. She smiled softly and walked slowly she was really enjoying her time with him. He was so sweet...even if she ruined him.

Firrah grinned up at Shemei, tilting his head at her curiously. Suddenly he giggled. "Just going to go wherever our feet take us?" he asked, beginning to swing their hands back and forth, skipping along beside her.
He paused and looked around.
"What kind of stuff is there around here?" he asked her next. "Lots of trees and places to run and hide and play ... right? What else? Animals? What kinds?"

Shemei nods, "Sounds like a wonderful idea. She walked along with him in the late afternoon evening light. She was so glad to see his spirit did not seem to die with his injuries and the maybe he would recover fully.
She looked thoughtful. "Well let see...yes there are lots of threes of all kinds. There are birds, snakes, rabbits, fish in the water....lots of frogs and bugs..." she wondered if he knew what any of those were.

Firrah watched the sky as they walked. It was getting sort of late, and the sky was beautiful ... he loved it.
"Can you show me all the kinds of animals?" he asked Shemei softly as they walked. "I want to learn everything from you!"
He smiled warmly at her, his single eye glowing softly with happiness. Now that they were out of the house and alone again, it was almost possible for him to forget about Casimirio and the fear he felt for him.

Shemei nods, "I can show you all you want to see, I can teach you all I know even if I am not the smartest Katorai around." She smiled, "I am pretty dumb too some times." She laughed and nuzzles his shoulder kissing his cheek softly.
She turned towards a small lake.

Firrah giggled and nuzzled against Shemei's cheek, then let go of her hand and threw his arms around her waist, hugging her tightly.
"You're my bestest best friend, Shemei," he told her softly, sincerely. "I'm never gonna like anyone more than I like you!"
He looked forward to see where they were going, and when he saw the large expanse of water he tilted his head curiously, his ears cocking forwards. "What's that?"

Shemei smiled and wrapped her arms around the small male. "You are far too kind dear Firrah. I am so very glad ot have you as a brother and friend. She laughed softly and licked him between his ears.
"That is a lake...fish and frogs live in it and you can sometimes see lots of other animals as they come to drink."

Firrah giggled and snuggled against Shemei's leg, nodding as he listened to her explanation of the lake.
"If we go there," he said in a questioning tone, "will we see some animals? I want to know what they look like, so that I know what they are ... because if I don't see them then I don't know what they look like."

Shemei nods, "Yes we might see some....If we are nice and quiet." she said and moved to start walking on all fours towards the lake. She smiled. He really was a sweetie. She was so very glad he would stay with her. And that he still seemed so happy.

Firrah put a finger to his lips and followed after Shemei as quietly as he could ... but he could still hear his own footsteps in the grass. He watched as Shemei moved to walk on all fours again, and ran up and tapped her on the shoulder.
"Hey - Shemei," he whispered, "I walk too loud - can I ride on you? Just for a little bit?"

Shemei could not help but laugh at his words. She looked up to see birds flying away and her noise and nods, "You can always ride me little brother." She licked his unhurt cheek and lowered down so me could climb on.
She was really going a strong bond with his young male. She would not allow anyone to hurt him again. And she knew Casimiro would protect him just as strongly now.

Firrah wasn't quite sure what Shemei was laughing at, but since she was licking his cheek he figured that it couldn't be anything too bad. He giggled and hugged her around the neck.
"Thank you," he told her quietly, grinning as he climbed onto her back. He made himself comfortable just in front of her hips, placing his hands just below her shoulders to keep his balance.
His eye was drawn to the movement of the birds high up in the trees, and he tapped Shemei on one shoulder and pointed up at them. "Hey, Shemei," he whispered, trying not to scare the animals away again, "what are those?"

Shemei smiled and walks slowly. She moved so that Firrah could look at the birds, "They are birds...there are lots of kinds...though look like crows...." she said softly. She was getting very use to his little body atop hers and she really liked it.
She continued to walk until she was at the water's edge where she lay down on warm sand. She smiled and looked over the water.
