 "How did you know I can read your mind,'' Mine's voice flitted in his mind, but she was way out of ear's reach. "Darn I didn't think you'd know I was there," she sulked, but continued to search on her own for her pet Chini.

"Thanks." Sabriel breathed, gritting her teeth against the anti disinfectant. It stung.
Sabriel glanced at the pale girl in front of her. "Um.... You're really pretty." She mumbled, her face turning red with embarassment. Then she heard a crack and a high girl's voice getting closer.

Lee chuckled her twinkling laugh. "Why thank you. You're quite beautiful yourself." Lee finished wrapping her knee.
"Alright, it's all done." She smiled, after placing a few bandaids on the girls plams. "You should be very careful on that knee, Miss... Oh darn, I did it again. My name is Lee, may I ask what your's is?" She said, holding out her hand to help the girl up.

Lee and the girl were suddenly surrounded by floating leaves. 'Oh no! Not now!' She thought. The leaves cheered triumphantly that they had found Chini. "Then you better tell Mine where he is." She whisper too quikly and low for the girl to hear. "Hurry now, dears." And she sent the leaves to Mine.
"Mine! Mine!" The leaves chortled, "We've found him! We've found him! Follow us! Follow us!" and they floated toward where they found Chini.

"There, There!" The leaves cheered. They floated over to the destination. The leaves flew in a circle around a small purple bat tangled in vines of a willow tree. "Chini! Chini!" They chanted, waiting for Mine to come over to them.

"Chini! Oh, darn it. Where are you?!" Mine' cried following the call of the leaves. Soon enough there was the little bugger, who was hiding underneath an inconspicuous leaf, jumped into her arms bawling like a baby. "Where were you Mine'. This girl almost ate meh!" crying "I was so scared.
