fatherofflame [quote="Corngasmo] The layout is made so that accesability is constant. and if the layout is weird THEN WHY DOES WINDOWS NOW HAVE ONE EXACTLY LIKE IT? I think that the Windows that now has a layout like Mac is a stupid idea for Microsoft, either that or they are trying to attract some Mac users to the PC, because they would be able to use the same layout. I hate Mac mouses, they suck, I prefere being able to use multiple programable keys to do what I want. For example Macs would be so much better with a second button and a scroll wheel. I bought a mutli button mouse with a scroll wheel for my mac laptop and it works great. Im using it right now. I didnt have to intall any specially programing to run it either. As fater as the whole windows compying mac thing goes, its not a new thing. Microsoft copied the mac OS the moment they created windows. Mac was the first OS to have a desktop layout with Icons for your harddrive and files. Macs are also better for photography, and graphic arts, Audio work, and the only draw back to gaming with a mac is that its hard to find alot of games for the mac. Blizzard is the only company I think that did it right. They offer both the mac version and pc version on the same disk. If blizzard can do it, it cant be that hard. Macs are perfectly good gaming machines. I will admit that Macs are expensive, but in their defense, Apple gives you the keyboard, mouse and screen with you computer, plus macs also come with a very good warranty and repair service.

I prefer PC because I'm more familiarized with the way its arranged and stuff. My school gave a bad impression to MACS because we get those emacs or imacs (whatever they are called) for free and they are slooooow and unreliable so thats how I came to dislike apple stuff.

i despise macs.... i hate the OS, and i used to put the systems together on an assembly line when i was younger... they aren't as grand as you would think..... so i work on my PC with windows cause that's what i'm used to. i don't like "user friendly" interfaces, makes me feel like i don't have control. xp

Okay, AT THE BOTTOM!
I hate user-friendly. F*** the User, they should learn to use the damn machine!

Receltly, both of my PCs died...within a week. Both mother boards fryed due to storms, and thanks to integrated systems-everything else died with them.
Being an artist myself-along with my mother's photography- my private art teacher convinced my mother to at least look at the mini mac- which I must say, is a very HOT machine.
The more research my mom did, the more annoyed with windows she got, and the more the mac seemed appealing.
So we replaced both PCs with one Imac, and I must say- there's no chance I'm going back to windows and a PC. The mac runs much smoother, and I haven't had any problems with spyware, popups, and viruses that come from sharing the computer with a 19year old college boy.
Plus, the voice command and reading features are just entertaining and fun to play with...period.
