Nefir poked out his tongue. "Well I'm new at this saving the day thing! Besides I'm.......not up to it, usually." He fidgeted a little, knowing how silly it must have been for him to faint. "Nah; I was just fooling; I don't need any of that, but I would like to get out of here." He looked up at the hole in the ceiling, then at the hole where they had descended from. "How DO we get out of here?"

Shimofuri looked up with him, and shrugged. "We could always climb out of the hole, though I don't know how excactly." She glanced around. "And I think we should bring back some diamonds as victory trophies, don't you?"

Nefir's eyes widened and he nodded eagerly. "Yeah! We should take home as many as we can!" He didn't know exactly how they would do that, but he figured it shouldn't be a chore to take at least one each.
He looked about him and selected the biggest diamond he could find, which he could just barely hold with one paw. "Okay, I guess we'll have to settle for one each. Now, how do we reach the hole?"

Shimofuri skanned through the diamonds before finding one that she liked; it wasn't really clear like most, but more of a pink color. It was just big enough to fit in the palm of her hand. After picking it, she looked over at Nefir. "Do you have a problem with piggy-back rides?"

Nefir blinked at Shimofuri. "Piggy-back ride? Oh yeah.....I remember those. Well, I suppose so...but won't I be too heavy for you?" He clutched his diamond as he spoke, as though adding that he would probably rather find another way out than leave his souvenir behind.

Shimofuri laughed. "I don't think so. I should be able to jump up there some way or another, and I'm sure I could carry you." She looked at his diamond. "And your little jewel too."

Nefir smiled with relief. "Well that's good! I don't think I weigh an awful lot anyway, but better than if I was still....erm......not conscious." He still couldn't bear the thought that he had fainted. Keeping a paw on his diamond, he carefully walked to Shimofuri and climbed up on her back, placing the diamond between his chest and her back, with the point facing out to the side so neither of them would be poked by it.

Shimofuri laughed. "Yeah, that might be troublesome." She wrapped her arms around his back legs and stood up, it being easier due to him being smaller than her. She looked around until she found a ledge within jumping distance, and jumped over, loosing her balance momentarily due to not being able to jump quite as high with Nefir on her back.

Nefir squeezed his eyes shut as he felt Shimofuri jumping, and then his eyes flew open as he felt her teeter slightly. "Are you okay? D'you need me to get down?" He lowered one of his legs to set down on the ground in case Shimofuri was teetering too far and posed a chance of falling.

Shimofuri looked back at Nefir, slightly worried, slightly angry. "Don't try and get off, you'll make me loose my balance!" she yelled as she croutched down to keep herself steady.

"Okay-okay!" Nefir jerked up his leg and clung tighter to Shimofuri, trying not to look down. He didn't mind being up high; it was suddenly NOT being high that worried him. He took a deep breath and held it, thinking the sudden stillness of his chest might help in some way.

Shimofuri looked back at Nefir with a raised eyebrow. "Don't go try and kill yourself to make you lighter, it won't work." She gripped his paws tighter as che ran slightly before taking a jump to a higher ledge. She did the same a few more times until she was 1 jump away from excaping. "You ready?"

Pouting, Nefir readjusted himself. "Wasn't trying to kill myself; just trying to make it easier is all. I don't want to fall anymore than you do." He held on tightly, trying not to cling too hard where his chest and the diamond resided. When there was but one leap left, he squeezed his eyes shut and muttered in her ear. "Ready."

"Okay!" Shimofuri said, partially to herself. She croutched down low, a hand on the cool cave survace, and broke into a run, followed by a leap. She put a hand to her eyes as the world seemed to be illuminated white. She touched down on soft snow and looked around, they were at the mountain base again.

Letting out a shout for joy that caused a few chunks of snow to fall from the base of the mountain, Nefir jumped off of Shimofuri's back and danced around like a goofball in the snow, holding his diamond. "We did it! We did it! We made it out! Hooray!"
He stopped and looked back at the mountain, looking pretty much the same as it had before, though he knew somewhere up there a hole gaped that led to a gigantic room full of diamonds. It seemed the perfect time to say that he felt a little sorry for the ifrit; he had only bee guarding his home, and now it lay exposed to the air for other adventurers to come forth and take his treasure.
It would have been, if he had felt that way. He casually flipped the diamond up and caught it, smiling at the mountain. "Thanks for the gifts!" he called happily to it, and beamed at Shimofuri. "That was a lot of fun, huh?"
