Not even the guild hangouts in Towns? What's wrong with those, besides the fact that Towns is buggy and has the habit of kicking people off like puppies.

I don't go to the Towns hang-outs because she found out (via her workplace) that people cyber there. So I'd get my head bitten off if she found out that I'd been there. >>

Your mom is a bit strict, and it's bugging me. But... Is it possible to explain that there's never cyber there?
FEF isn't into that thing (I don't think) And if they are, they haven't done it here. So it wouldn't make sense to do it there.
...B-banned? Do you know how many noobs would be banned if so?

...Well, this IS Gaia, so I can't say I'd be terribly surprised hearing about cyber on this site.
(I think we can at least be thankful your mom's allowed you to be on Gaia.)

Well, the TOS claims cybering = bannage.
It's how my mom operates. She's strict, but trying to convince her of otherwise is sometimes suicidal. I'm also technically restricted to 2 hours online a day, though since it's been nearly 2 months since then, I don't know how much that applies now.
Still. All she'd see is "My daughter is in Towns" and "People have virtu-sex in Towns" and her first thought would be that I'm participating in/reading text of people having virtu-sex.
Trust me, it bugs me, too. She once asked if it's smart for me to be on DeviantArt because 'Deviant' is part of the name.

Sadly, I'm serious.
She doesn't check my computer, but I've always been a bit of a paranoid person. And I hate lying to her, but I know I haven't revealed anything that would allow someone to find me.

Haha. Doesn't sound that bad, though. I remember my ex-girlfriend and her mother were literally ARCH ENEMIES. In every sense of the word.
She sounds overprotective, yes, but as long as she can trust some of Gaia, I'd say that's alright.

She doesn't like that I speak with people I don't know in real life. But I suppose she can deal. I don't think she doesn't trust me, I think it's just that she worries too much.

I know how it is... Paranoia, at least. I was the same way. Until I found that my mom really didn't check anything I did. Then I just started not caring about it all.
