Listening to his words, Moon Child didn't move as he spoke. Her mind setting off at to fast a rate before jolting to a stop. Together? Never had anyone ever wanted to be near her. Not even those who adopted her. They always had work for her so she wasn't around. Leaving the tears she looked at his hand for a moment before taking it in her own smiling a little at the warm feeling against her cool skin. Getting to her feet, Karma was a unique concept and perhaps one she could live with. "You'll stay?" she asked with the voice of one who has been left alone for too long, "You won't leave me when the sun falls?" Something about him told her that he wouldn't abandon her so easily not with a past connected. Moon Child was only vaugely aware that she still wore her back pack. That she had been the one running and the urge was still there. To take off and not look back, but something had changed. Some reached out to her with words that would always make her take the second look and make her stay.

"Um, food works..." Dani said, despite not wanting anything. She didn't eat as much any more, close to the point of being anorexic. But it wasn't showing yet, at least. Probably a good thing, she'd decided.

Jinx's heart skipped a beat when she touched his hand, that was another first for him. He had fortunately been able to suppress this, he couldn't afford another clothes problem. He looked back into her eyes, and said firmly, "Not as long as you don't." He said, feeling tears well up in his eyes. It was hard for him to talk about his feelings, he spent so much of his time suppressing them. "I promise."

Lisa smiled, "Good! Go get on your swim suit and I'll meet you in the dining room for some lunch!" She put her hand on his shoulder and walked down the stairs to the office which was also her room. There she saw her husband, "Hey Lucus. What you doing? I haven't seen you around."

Lucus looked up, "Hey babe, I've just been sorting out all these new students and some of the new applications for people wanting to come in. What you up to?"

"I finally got Cole to start talking. I'm getting him to relax with people and maybe get him to talk with someone in his age group." She walked in to the closet and pulled out a bikini. After putting it on she walked back out to the office, making sure she had her scrawl around her waist, "Ok, well I'll talk to you later."

Lucus looked up at his wife and his jaw dropped, "Where are you going in that?!"

"What?! I'm going to eat lunch, then I'm going to the hot springs with Cole." She gave him a kiss and walked out. She got to the dining room, ordered a small salad and waited at a table for Cole. She didn't even notice all the other people in there.

Lisa shook her head, "No, I don't usually eat with younger men. Fact most of the young males don't talk to me. they usually talk with Lucus." She took another bite of her salad, "What about you eating with a woman probably 3 times your age. Do you do that often?"

Kat watched her mother eat her salad and didn't think anything of it till Cole showed up, What the ********> She decided not to go over there seen as last time she ended up with dead skin.

Moon Child's touch sent Jinx's heart rate through the roof. He was flabbergasted for a moment when he realized that the hair on the back of his neck was standing up. He immediately knew what was going on, she had triggered his powers, and they needed to move. He grabbed her immediately and ran away a few feet to the side. A split second later, lightning struck where they had stood. Coming back to himself after the shock, he realized that he had Moon Child by the elbows, and quickly let go of her. His face turned bright red and he went right back to stuttering, "I'm s-s-sorry. I d-dd-didn't mean t-t-to." He put his head down trying to hide his blush. He had never really touched a girl before, much less dragged her around like that. He quickly put his hands over his ears and squinted his eyes, a trick he had learned to control his emotions, because he didn't want lightning to strike twice in the same place. And if anyone could make it happen, he could.

Her breath caught as she was suddenly taken and moved away before the lighting struck. When he started to stutter and hung his head she smiled gently. Moon Child knew it was a risk to talk or be with him but it was one she was willing to take. He didn't run away from her and she wouldn't run from him. Silently moving in front of him she placed her hands gently on the side of his face so he would look at her, "Please do no apologize. You said you wouldn't run. Please don't hide from me now. If it is me that is causing you to be this way. Then perhaps I will just have to spend more time with you so you are more comfortable around me." Moon Child smiled at him. An honest happy smile. If it was her causing his emotion to do this she meant it. She would hang out with him despite the danger. He was her friend now and she meant to stick by him.

Dani shrugged. "Just never ate that much. Used to scare my parents half to death cause Kami'd always eat twice as much." she said with a faint smile, realizing what she'd said afterwords and falling silent, looking to the table. Said her name and didn't burst into tears... she thought sadly. She was actually starting to get over it?
