"Scenary..." he repeated again, slower, in hopes that it would make the word easy to understand. If not, he could always try to explain it, though it would have to be through speaking, as his signing wasn't very good yet.

"Ssssss ... sceeee ... n ... scen'ry?" Skye tried to pronounce the word after him, her eyes fixed on his lips so that she would best be able to see how his tongue was moving.
She frowned softly. There was something wrong with the way she was saying it ...
"One more time?" she requested softly, blushing faintly and hoping she wasn't being a pest. "I ... not think I have it right."

Syrus nodded and smiled.
"Sce...nar...y" he said once more, even slower, and trying to make sure his lips were clear with their shapes.

Skye nodded and repeated it after him. "Scenery," she repeated, clearly now. She smiled and giggled softly.
"You are very helpful," she told him softly, sitting in the middle of the flowers and tugging on his hand so that he would sit with her. Her eyes shone brightly with admiration as she looked at him. "You help Suzura all the time, and you help me, and you teach me new things, and you are very nice ..."

Syrus laughed a slightly embarassed laugh as he sat down next to her.
"It's nothing special really. It's just kind of how I am. I've always felt compelled to help people I care about," he said, blushing a bit, subconciously still holding her hand lightly.

"Maybe," Skye blushed, "but you are special to me."
She bit her lip and lowered her eyes self consciously, but she had been raised to always tell the truth and tell people what she thought of them, unless it was bad. Then she had to use tact.
She cleared her throat and looked up at him shyly again.
"I ... care for you, too," she murmured softly, "very much ..."

Though he blushed at these words, Syrus couldn't help but put on his gentle smile. He positioned the hand he was using to hold hers differently, so that his fingers would interlace with hers.
"I'm glad to know that," he said softly, looking right into her eyes.

Skye was slightly startled to feel Syrus's fingers interlacing with hers, and her blush deepened as she felt the intensity of his gaze. Her eyes shone in the moonlight, and her heart began to pound in her chest as she smiled warmly back at him. The muscles in her wings tightened until her wings were folded against her back as tightly as they could go, but she didn't even notice.
She didn't know what to say or what to do ... all she knew was that she was melting in the warmth of his eyes ...

Syrus was feeling odd himself, being the usually very socially awkward fellow that he was, yet finding his own very bold actions coming easily to him for once in his life. Still, he didn't question them at all. It was just bliss, looking into Skye's eyes as they glimmered in the moonlight. He raised his free hand to her cheek for just a moment before leaning in and pressing his lips against hers.

Skye was surprised - but only for a moment before her entire body relaxed and she kissed him back. She edged a little closer to him as she did so, putting her free hand on his knee so that she wouldn't fall into his lap.
After a few moments she broke the kiss, pulling back only slightly, and smiled warmly at him, the sparkle in her eyes brighter than ever. Her heart was still beating wildly, but she didn't feel embarrassed anymore - not now that she knew her emotions were returned.

Honestly, there was a part of Syrus that was actually surprised that she returned his affections so suddenly, though most of him was filled with a silent yet powerful joy that he couldn't help but smile. Looking into her eyes, how they sparkled; it just made him care for her even more.
All he could muster to do at this moment was press his forehead to hers lightly, smiling affectionatly.

Skye saw how Syrus was looking into her eyes, and she blushed again and turned her head so that she was leaning against his cheek.
"Maybe we should try to sleep," she murmured softly, not knowing what else to say.
She remembered suddenly that there was only the one blanket between the two of them ... but she didn't mind. In fact ... she knew she would be quite warm and quite safe sleeping next to Syrus.
She looked up at him again and waited for his reply, certain that the redness of her face must be giving away her thoughts.

As soon as Skye mentioned it, he himself realized the blanket situation, but like her, he honestly didn't mind.
"Mmmm, I suppose we should try, shouldn't we?" he said, still smiling.

Skye giggled and nodded, rising slowly to her feet.
"Come," she smiled at him, tugging him after her, her fingers still interlaced with his. "We have a good rest ... maybe sleep ... and in morning ... I make you breakfast, okay? Because you made us dinner today."
And her mother had made sure to pack food just for the occasion.
