Danni smiled, watching him go pay for his uniforms.
' I've never met anyone quite like him, I think.' At his words, she skated forward and hooked her arm around his again.
" Do you need any supplies, or would you like food first?" She sent his eyes a look to make sure the eyeliner was even from her ministrations.

"Food, I think." Alex tried hard to avoid her searching eyes. She was pretty, but there were things she should know first before deciding on him so quickly...

Alex lead her out of the store, before letting her lead the way to wherever the restaurant was.

Gladys paused on her way into the shop to peek over her shoulder at where she thought August ought to be, holding the door open for him to pass through before she did so herself.
She wasn't QUITE sure if this was the shop where they'd find suitable uniforms, but it looked to be the closest clothes shop, and since it was a realtively small area -and they were so close to the school- it was a relatively safe thing to be assumed.
"So, you're in the Oak dorm, right?"
She mused as she stood on her tiptoes to peer into the back of the shop, jumping at the tinkle of the front door behind them as another probable student slid through.
His eyes were averted to the floor, but they occasionally darted and her an August's direction.
She thought she may have seen him slinking around behind them after they left the Chime Gardens, but she couldn't quite remember...

Elliot's entire head turned red as the girl he'd been pretty much stalking ever since he'd heard her say the word 'Moline' finally got a good look at him, hoping to high heavens she hadn't noticed him before then.
Yeah, he knew for a fact he wasn't supposed to come to get his uniform alone- but he also knew that he was NOT about to ask anyone to go with him like a five year old in a candy store.
So, he'd chosen the only truly suitable option left to him!
Following someone!
IT WAS BRILLIANT!
...
Apart from the running and hiding thing along the way, that part wasn't so cool...
No, definitely not cool.

"Yes," He said in response. He managed to catch the tinkle, but paid no mind to it; If someone was following them, they would have noticed by now, right?

"You're....in Maple?" He guessed. Gladys appeared human to him, so Maple seemed like a better bet; but she could have been in Keystone. As he looked around, he found a row of green/white suits near the end of the shop walls, male's right next to female's. Next to them, however, were a red/white suits.

Huh...

"Naw, Keystone."
Gladys mused with the tiniest of shrugs, glancing around at all of the clothes she'd never even dreamed about not wanting to wear before this precise moment, nose wrinkling just so.
"I forgot, or forgot tah ask, or SOMETHIN' along those lines- but each house dorm thingy had specific colors, don't they..?"
She frowned slightly over at the shelves, nose still wrinkled just so.
Ugh, clothes.
Potentially expensive and overly-FRILLY clothes at that, too.

He blinked, pausing for a moment.

"Well, Oak and Maple are suppose to be green. The suits in red are, I'm guessing, Keystone,"

Was it him, or was the gap between Keystone and the other dorms getting a bit bigger? He began to walk towards his row of suits, just barely noticing the dark red color of Keystone. Oddly enough, they started to appear as if they were dyed with blood.

Whoever thought it was such a good idea for a closed off gifted dorm to have bloody clothing... He thought. Obviously needs some eye glasses.

Gladys's nose wrinkled in distaste as she turned to scrutinize the uniforms in question, peeking down at her tattered jeans before returning again to take in this... This /fancy-ness/.
"Lucky." She muttered as she glanced over at him out of the corner of her eyes, adding as if in some sort of clarification, "I /HATE/ re-"
She turned around, about to continue on her minature excuse of a rant only to find a rather stout woman with a dangerous looking tape measurer and a set of pins examining the two of them expectantly.
Having finally been noticed, she cleared her throat, saying in a cheery french accent,
"Hello, you're here for your uniforms? Have you been fitted yet?"
Gladys fell back for a moment, words feeling as if thye were being blocked by a very large object before they could find themselves off of her tongue.
"N-I mean mayb-I mean..." She frowned lightly, looking curiously over at her before responding with a small shake of the head. "Yes, I'm here fer a uniform, but I don't need tah be fitted; I'm jus' goin' to ge' a, um..." She grimaced, cheeks burning crimson as she finished a bit more swiftly than before, "Used, uniform, I guess. Do you have any in stock..?"
The woman was gone into a back corner and back again brandishing a selection before the teen could so much as blink, already rounding on August.
"Do YOU need to be fitted?"
PostPosted: Tue Feb 24, 2009 5:33 pm

"I-I guess.." August mumbled.

Truth be told, he had never been fitted his entire life, save the time he was sent with his brother to purchase a suit he considered to be... a 'get-up', as his brother called it. Pretty much everything was purchased was expected to fit; and so, it did.

He found that he was measured right there, the lady measuring chest, waist, and the most uncomfortable of them all, bust. He didn't even look down. After one or two minutes, she was finished, and pointed to the second row, 4th column.

"That one there," She merely said. Almost immediately, he snatched in, the uniform still in a bag. The lady simply vanished; perphaps to fetch Gladys uniform.

"Say, Gladys," He began. "Where exactly are you from?" He asked, then simply stated, "I come from Kiel, a city in Germany,"

"I'm from the gh-I mean ou'-skirts of Waco Texas." Gladys mused, adding in with a small laugh, shaking her head just slightly. "USA, 'course."
A rare scowl speared her soft features as she was half jumped from behind, hearing the muted impact of the pile of clothes on the floor before she actually felt the woman coming at her with the tape-measurer of doom.
"Yer from Germany..?"
She whistled conspiratorily, trying not to wince raising her arms above her head and feeling the heat rush to her face as the woman began her measurements.
"Do yah like it better there or 'ere?" The teen flashed a smile as she answered her own question. "I prefer it 'ere, bu' more on account of it gettin' me outa' my siblin's linea' fire then anythin' else."

The low breath of relief -from just being allowed to lower her arms- hardly had time to be released before one of the garments from the small stack the owner had dragged along beind her found itself thrust into her thin arms.
"Th-thanks, ma'am."

That explains the strange accent... He thought to himself.

"Actually, I would perfer it back home," He said in a semi-confident manner, only to have his second side match it with Your definition of 'Home', that is.

"But here, I have more...freedom. So, in a way, I feel nutural about both,"

He walked, holding his uniform and carried it off to the counter, only to catch glimpse of something...human. He stopped midway through, then said,

"Gladys...Did you see that?"

"The one whose been followin' us...?"
Gladys asked, that habitual smile never so much as fading, not bothering to so much as glance at the place the other boy was indicating and continuing on uniterrupted to the counter, lying her purchases (a hastily chosen plaid jacket and the uniform) on the smooth surface for the warily scrutinizing owner to ring up, eyes dancing puzzledly back to August.
"You didn't notice 'em..?" She giggled almost absentmindedly, "/I/ thought they were pretty darn loud, but whaaaaatev."

((I want to get this moving, so I editted my post))

August blinked; surely she was joking.

"It doesn't bother you that someone has been following us?" he asked. Personally, he thought it was strange; out of all the books he's read, he never quite read about a character quite like her. Perphaps this was a good thing; she wouldn't be as predictable as some cliched characters. But he knew right away that it would take some time to get use to such a strange person. Perphaps other company would be helpful to this.

"Then I suppose you wouldn't mind if I dragged him out of his hole,"

(Sorry, my computer crashed. ._.)

"Should it?" The girl blinked in the utmost confusion, eyeing his expression skeptically, as if half expecting this comment to be some sort of joke she just didn't quite get- perhaps a prank of some kind.
When she caught sight of his face, however, she soon greeted his query with a smooth shrug.
"I don' mind, i' doesn't matter tah me either way."
The statement wouldn't have been so sad care-worthy-wise if she'd thought to lace it with a bit of trepidation, maybe even just a minuscule smidgeon of uncertainty.
But she wasn't used to subtley OR editing what she said, and thus being it came out exactly how it had first rung into her mind.
With absolutely no interest in the matter what-so-ever.
The whoever it was hadn't tried to kill them yet, smelled human, was a horrid hider, seemed just a liiiittle unbalanced fitness-wise, and she could have outrun whoever on earth it was even if they were a star track runner.
So, why worry? Why care either way?
She might make a new friend...
But her social-ness time had just about been juiced out for the day.

"Drag me out?"
Elliot muttered in his usual barely audible tone, scowling at the floor as he stepped easily out from behind a rack of green clothing, the owner already rushing forward with tape-measurer in hand even as he grudgingly raised his arms shoulder-height directly in front of himself.
"I can walk perfectly well, thank you very much. And I wouldn't exactly consider an isle in a store a 'hole'."
His normally neatly pressed and folded clothes were for once stained with dirt at the knees, the sleeves of his jacket and long-sleeved shirt rolled up to just below his elbows, and his hair even messier than it usually was; as if he'd had a bit of trouble on his way to the clothes shop.

August sweatdropped.

"..It was..It was just a figure of speech," He said to the stranger. "You see..."

He stopped himself right there. Surely, the guy should know what he meant. Maybe it was a remark of sarcasm. But how could he know? He blinked; Maybe he was thinking too far ahead on this.

"You didn't really think that I would be able to drag anyone out, did you?"

"I didn't think you COULD." Elliot replied with a swift roll of the piercing emerald eyes and a shake of the head that sent his hair falling even farther out of place. "But that doesn't mean you wouldn't be idiotic enough to try and do so..." He grimaced shrugging as he raised both arm straight above his head, one what-appeared-to-be ear plug stuck in his left ear while the other dangled a few centimeters away from the cloth of his t-shirt.

Gladys glanced over at him but didn't bother to comment, he sounded... Sarcastic. Annoying. And just a bit mean.
She wasn't too great with any of the three.
