Haha, driving like that sucks. Especially at night. ICK.
We've been getting so much rain it's crazy. *glares at the sky* We actually had a tornado not too long ago- Tuesday.
And good luck with all your interviews!

We've never had a tornado that I really know of here. That's good for me though because I'm scared to death of tornadoes. I have been since I was little. That and I don't like storms. Rain is fine, but I always get nervous in thunder and lightning.

It's pretty rare to get on here. It's like the beginnings of the foothills that I live in in my state.
I like lightning. It's fun to look at. biggrin From a safe distance behind a window, of course.

The only time I think lightning is fun to look at is when it's in a picture or on TV. I dun like it when it's anywhere near me....>> But I've had issues with weather since before I can remember. So it's not really a surprise that I don't like it.

Thanks xD
Ooh, I had one a few weeks ago. I had to go back for two other ones, but I got the job XD I'm going to work at the customer service desk at Meijer. I go in for paperwork on Wednesday.
And I got a car, too XD I'm happy cause it's actually a pretty nice car. It has a CD player and a sun roof and the previous owner took really good care of it, so it should last me a long time.

Nice! What is it?
And naturally, I didn't get it as soon as I said I had to go back to school in a month and a half. :/ They said they don't hire summer help.

Ah. I told them I could still work when going to school since I'm only going four days a week and three out of the four classes are art classes. So I shouldn't get too much homework. But I start training tomorrow, which, luckily, I get paid for.
It's a pretty big business for a first job....At least that's what it seems like to me. I'm going to have to know a lot of stuff to do my job well....>> I'm kind of nervous about it, but I should be fine. Everyone seems nice there.
It's a 99 Honda Accord. It's previous owner took really good care of it, so it's in nice shape.

Oh cool. I have heard those are good cars. I have a 89 Ford Bronco II. I love it but my mom kinda tore it up when she used it as a mail car. It's still in okay condition, though.
It does sound like a big first job. Mine was to be a cashier at a local western store. :p

Yeah, it's kind of daunting. We went out to the cash registers today and our trainer lady was showing how it works and what buttons to press and where things are. I'm kind of overwhelmed with everything I'm supposed to know. I need to know the PLU's of things and then I need to know how to put in coupons and credit cards and discount cards and checks and the list goes on and on...
We're supposed to go out and work the cash registers tomorrow and I feel like I don't know enough yet....>>
My car is in pretty good condition. There are a few spots of chipped paint around, but other than that, it looks good.

Yeah, same here. My Dad promised to redo everything that needed to be redone, lol. Paint and the interior heading.
And Yeah, I know. It took me a couple of days before I could pick up on it confidently. You'll get the hang of it, though, I"m sure.
Looks like I might be getting a job on campus with residential living as an office assistant. HOpe so. I still gotta go in for the interview though. :p

I've been working there for a week and I already want to change jobs....>> I think it's just new job jitters though. I hate not knowing things and having to ask questions. I always feel bad for inconveniencing people, so it's been a hard first few days. My first day was incredibly overwhelming. I was constantly asking for help. Then I worked again on Saturday and it was better, but I still had some problems. I work again tonight, but it's quite late, so it probably won't be as busy.
I hate standing up for that long, though DX I've recently developed knee problems and standing on them for five hours straight is killing me. But I only work four hours tonight so maybe it'll be better.....>>
But yay! We slowly breathing life into the guild. May has been inviting new people to join and has started some big project that even I don't know very much about. X3

Ooh, tres mysterious. Hahaha!
And I know what you mean. My first ever shift at my first ever job was like 12-9 with a one hour break. It KILLED my feet so bad. If I'm not moving around a lot or sitting every once in a while, my feet still do that.
And I definitely hate to do that too- ask questions. I do like knowing what I'm doing so I tend to ask more questions than necessary in order to know EVERYTHING. sweatdrop

I'm lucky to have a stable time for my job. 9-5 with possible overtime. But surprisingly I'm on my feet a lot. Not as much you you guys but still quite a lot.

Yah....>>
I had to work last night until 11:30, so I didn't get home till close to midnight. Then I had to go into this morning at 10:45, so I was really tired DX I got up around 9 and apparently, according to my mom, my eyes were all puffy.
Today was much better though. X3 I think I only had to ask a question once, so I'm getting the hang of it.
I've worked either 4-5 hours at a time, so far. This week is 4 hour shifts, which I like better. And I only get 15 minute breaks which usually consist of me walking from the front of the store to the back to go to the bathroom, then kind of hanging out until it's time for me to go back. I never know what to do since I really don't know anyone there to talk to....>> Oh, and I drink a ton of water on my break. My throat gets so dry when I'm working.
