((Ugh, haven't been able to update until now. But I agree, maybe a new character would stir things up a bit XD))
Jasper looked toward the door as someone came in. She immediately recognized him from the night before, the tall man who came into the Golden Tavern and played saxaphone. He was very talented. Jasper then looked at the clock on the wall, seeing that it was late afternoon.
"Holy crap!" She exclaimed. "I lost track of time!" Quickly, she jumped back behind the bar and stood. "Welcome to Dusk, sir. Today we have a special on all red wines, buy one get the next free! How may I serve you?" Jasper recited her welcoming statement, announcing one of the daily specials she had. It was different each day. She leaned on the bar top as she waited for the man's reply.

Ah, as per usual Andrew had not thought this one through. He had abstained from alcohol for years, but here he was in a bar. Well, it was a much nicer bar than before, at least. The bar tender was even nice to look at if you were into that type. "What do you recommend?" Andrew asked instead of making an order. He sat on a bar stool and lightly stroked his instrument case once before setting it on the floor. Giving a polite nod to the only other patron, Andrew failed to recognize him. Of course, he did not really recognize Jasper either, though the hair seemed oddly familiar. It really was a bit difficult to catch his attention when he was with Duvessa.

When Clif checked the time, he found he had completely lost track of it. It was late afternoon. He had planned on going over the jungle side of town earlier, to get some deep jungle hunting going on, but that looked like it wasn't going to happen. Actually, Clif wasn't that upset. He'd found he'd had fun talking with Jasper, the kind he hadn't had in a while. The guy down the bar seemed a little indecisive, though. He was picking out a red wine, so Clif didn't blame him. He didn't know much about wine, either. In fact, as far as alcohol was concerned, if it wasn't beer, whiskey, or vodka, he probably hadn't heard of it. Perhaps, he thought, Jasper could introduce him to a wider selection.

((NOOOOO!!! I shall not allow this thread to cease from exsistence! (I think I spelled that wrong, lol) But I shall now officially update my part... NOW!))
Still smiling, Jasper pulled a wine glass from the rack and set it in front of the new customer. She then walked to the cooler and pulled out a bottle of red wine, one of the sweeter types since the man was slightly indecisive. Pulling out a cork screw, Jasper flung the bottle of wine into the air, spinning it so that it flipped continuously. As it fell, it landed with the corked end on the cork screw, and Jasper proceeded to open the bottle. Then she finally poured the dark red beverage into the glass.
"It's one of the sweeter wines I have in the bar, but I thought it might be good to warm you up with something that wasn't too bitter, like Merlot," Jasper stated. "If you would like a different wine for your second free drink, don't hesitate to ask!"

Clif stood and put his hat on his head. He walked down the bar to where Jasper was standing. "I actually have somewhere I meant to be today, Jasper," He said, in his most apologetic voice. "I had a great time talking to you though. I will definitely stop by again." He didn't really want to leave, but he had made plans. Plus, Smitty, one of his few informants, usually hung out in the jungle area. If anyone knew who the man Jasper was looking for could be, it was probably Smitty.

Andrew chuckled lightly as he watched Jasper and listened to her explanation. He likely came across as a teetotaler making his first hesitant foray into the world of alcohol. Of course, this was preferable when he thought about it. Something light and sweet that would hardly fuzz his head any more than his morning orange juice was probably the best bet. "Thank you. You are quite talented; may I ask how long you have been tending?" Andrew swirled his glass, holding it up to the light for a moment. Then he tipped the glass to his nose, long lashed eyes fluttering shut as he appreciated the wine's bouquet. It was such a simple pleasure, to enjoy one's drink before tasting it. He had lost the desire to for a while, preferring to practically drown himself in whatever crossed his path. He could no longer remember why, really. It was just one of those ridiculous things done in his youth.

Jasper nodded to Clif. "It's fine, don't worry!" Jasper said understandingly. "I sure hope to see you back here soon. 'Cept the next time you want a drink you really will have to pay." She laughed slightly at her little joke. Then she turned to the new customer, having asked her about her bartending skills.
"I've only been tending for a few years," She explained, "but as a little girl I had a knack for spinning things in the air, such as batons and other things." She smiled and watched him drink the wine, first taking a moment to enjoy his beverage. Jasper hardly ever saw people who took the time to enjoy their drink. Most people she knew who came into her bar only wanted a couple shots to get themselves buzzed.
'This guy is definitely different' She thought absent-mindedly.
((Just to let you guys know, I'll be gone for most of the weekend to come, so there won't be any posts from me during that time. Sorry for the inconvenience sweatdrop ))

"Really? I do not think I would have ever imagined that as a job skill. I stand corrected. Ah, but I am being terribly rude which, while perfectly normal for me, was not at all my intent. Allow me to introduce myself before I find further need to delve into your personal business; my name is Andrew. My lovely lady friend", Andrew hefts up the saxophone case and even lightly kisses it for effect, "Her name is Duvessa. I do not think we have come here before. It seems it would be a memorable place. Very well appointed."

"Lila, have the night off. You're going to need the rest." The owner of the tavern said in a all knowing voice and patted Lila on the shoulders lightly, smiling from the little corners of his mouth.
"Thank you sir!" Lila leapt happily to the locker room and changed back to her regular clothing of a over sized green hoodie and some earthen hue cargos. Joyfully leaving out from the back and waving by to her father she headed down the street and stood outside Dusk for a few minutes and thought silently to herself. 'I wonder what Jasper is up to?' She opened the door ever so slightly and stepped in and glanced around the classy room. Her eyes landed on a man who just declared the name of his instrument spoke and Lila instantly remembered who he was. Tip-toeing and seating herself at the counter where the others where, she sat silently and stared at the man with the instrument. Lila didn't know why but she felt warm and fuzzy all over by being near him.
