Yer welcome Luxlui! I'm not sure what to do with the imaginary teddy bears but I'll think of something. mrgreen I'm glad you liked our descriptions for the muffins. Yers is quite funny as well. One could not have expected less from the queen of all silliness, huh? wink Thanks for commenting on my idea about the toothbrush. You got it all figured out, huh? That's precisely what I meant. About the tooth decay being some kind of status affliction I mean. I think it could be some kind of serious affliction that can't be easily get rid off. I'm pretty sure that Alucard, being a Dhampir doesn't have to worry about tooth decay and that's why Konami gave him a lot of food items without having to think about anything else. Soma might not have problems with Tooth decay as he is not yer average human, he can also regenerate and there's no problem but, how about Jonathan and Charlotte? Don't they need to watch what they eat? And they had a lot more sweets to eat on their game! I wonder if Shanoa will be immune to tooth decay also. rolleyes Anywho, I just thought of something: you know what might be a bit bizarre to see in a game? A tapeworm monster! Well, maybe not so much, with all the food items in CV, it might not be such a ludicrous idea in the first place, he-he. mrgreen My thoughts were that, the monster could start to be very small and, if you don't kill it quickly (before it gets inside the character) it could grow over time and every food item you consume, would only heal you less depending on the size of the worm. I think it could be real funny to see that, after a long period of time, the character would eat a muffin (for example) and regain half of what you were supposed to recover. After the worm gets to a good size, the character could even have trouble moving and, food items would hardly help recover HP at all. I was also thinking that if you wanted the worm removed, you could have another character remove it by taking you and the worm into another dimension or separate room. You could then fight it and it could be like a boss battle; depending on the size of the worm, it could be even tougher to defeat. What do you think everyone?

Muffins! whee Those descriptions are so coolies hehe! Um I shall think of one too!
Muffins Dracula desserts brand. The slogan says 'eat them before they eat you'
Hehe! Random! The teeth idea is really weird but super cool! eek I never thought of it like that but it would kinda work like with how your character can get poisoned and stuffs I guess! 3nodding I always thought instead of eating bad food items in the game and just taking damage, what if your character got sick and acted like they were poisoned and cursed and it slowly got worse? eek If they added something like that and Mr Kenshin's teeth idea that would be really in depth! I love that muffin description. xd

Oooh wow! eek That is such a coolies idea Mr Kenshin! I can picture that too! 3nodding A parasite monster which could end up being a boss unless you kill it in the right way early on! whee I so hope Konami make a boss like that! Thanks for yer comment on my new monster idea Luxlui! Yer the greatest! I was thinking that such a monster could be fought many times and in many different stages. That way, as your character grows, you can choose to fight it when it's only a few meters long, or about 50 meters long if you are at a nice level. I think that could add great replay value to a boss fight cuz the boss would behave differently depending on its size, don't you think everyone?

A tapeworm monster. I do have to say that is very original. I like it. I think it would be a very interesting boss to face. That way it will still be a little bit challenging but you already know the basics of fighting the boss so you don't have to figure it out.

Thanks mistress! I was also thinking that a monster like that would probably behave differently depending on how much it's grown. For example, it's not the same to battle against a 3 meter long worm than to fight against a 100 meters long one. Wouldn't you say? And what if the worm sprouts tentacles like the Sarlacc Pit Monster from Star Wars? I think this monster could be pretty cool to see in many of its evolutionary stages. I was thinking that it could even use its tentacles to steal food from you as you battle it. Think about it, you come to close, a tentacle reaches into yer pockets and grabs a hamburger out of it. There goes the only item you had to restore yer health! Oh boy, ha-ha! lol

Oooh a boss that can change depending on how you play the game and where you go? eek That would be so funky! Kinda like that freaky monster in one of the resident evil games! crying I can't remember which one it was or the name of the monster but it used to follow you around and if you stayed in one place too long it would come after you! gonk Scary! If your monster took items too that would be even more cool! I so hope there is a coolies creature like Mr Kenshin's monster in the new game now! rofl

Thanks Luxlui! I very much doubt Order of Ecclesia having a monster like that. If anyone can go to the Konami forums, maybe you should pitch in the idea cuz, I can't get inside those forums for the life of me. I don't know if it's my browser or what... rolleyes
I think this thread could be used not just for discussing about food items but, for discussing about things that are related to them like the tape worm monster I just made up. 3nodding

I think there has been a tapeworm type boss before, not like Belmont's one he just made up, but if everyone has played Lament of Innocence then one of the first bosses is a worm-like boss that has spores that need to be killed. if there was a boss like Belmont's in any of the new games then perhaps the same boss strategy from Lament of Innocence's worm monster could be used. The tooth cavities seem like a fun idea, but I was thinking what if the Castlevania series started to show status effects for the characters. Resident Evil did it long ago and if I remember Castlevania Legacy of Darkness had it too. It's basically where the main character actually shows what is wrong with them, if they're poisoned or turned into a vampire then their skin colour changes and they start to gradually slow up until they can just about shuffle across the screen, not just simple flinching every couple of seconds like they have in the games now. In LOD the main character would actually transform into a vampire if he was bitten, although the game would end soon after, it was fun and a bit nerve racking trying to fight enemies and cure your character before he turned into a vampire/zombie. The whole idea of actually showing a character taking serious damage might also help to make the game series a bit more, I don't know...frightening and challenging than it is now. I mean now you can just run around as a practically invulnerable Belmont and the concept of fragile mortality is lost. Ok rant over, back to talking about food now twisted

Well, I don't know how many games have had worms in them but I can also recall Beelzebub from SotN. Remember how it dropped some worms on the floor? And PoR also had 2 kinds of worms in it. The poisonous one was real tough compared to the sand one. I had almost forgotten about the worm boss on Lament to be honest. So, what if my tapeworm monster started out as tiny as those worms seen on SotN? If not killed quickly with a weapon, it could crawl inside the character and nest there. That was pretty much my idea, he-he... mrgreen

Beelzebub was the massive corpse wasn't it?...eww...I remember it now. Oh now I get you. Yeah that would be a pretty sinister enemy to fight, if you had a partner character like in PoR then maybe the worm could start to control your ally when it grew more inside them, that would be pretty scary too. twisted

{casually changes the subject back to food} You know there are not a lot of drink items that I know of in Castlevania.
