"Dawn? DAWN!" Shouted Arthur as he stalked through the house looking all over for her. He dropped the bags on the table and sighed. "She must have forgotten to tell me to pick up something..." He muttered slumping down into a chair and relaxed. Grey was locked up stairs in the room again, hissing, scratching and meowing his head off. Arthur sighed at his new on coming headache. "I'm coming you stupid cat..." he muttered making his way up the stairs to open the door up. Grey bolted down the stairs and to the kitchen, as if looking for something, then he headed to his water dish and started lapping up the water. Arthur muttered something under his breath as he walked back down the stairs, hands shoved in his pockets. What was he going to do with her now?

Lav had returned to see that Atticus was distressed. He seemed confused for the most part but he knew that Atticus would be exhausted tonight. Daria's spirit would be connected with his and he would be allowed to truly love again instead of just care. Lav had moved to the phone and swiftly dialed a phone number that he had memorize. It was the bakery and he'd been able to memorize it through Atticus' thoughts. He waited with the phone up against his ear.

Arthur was the one to pick up the phone. "Hello?" he said in his usual, almost monotone voice. He seemed rather calm right now, as if nothing happened, but he knew very well that something might have happened. The phone was pressed lightly to the phone as he waited in patience for a reply while his fingers played with the twisted coil of cord, around his thumb and fingers.

Lav had gone into a slight trance and when the person on the phone said hello it took him a moment to realize that someone had picked up. After that he straightened himself and blinked lightly.
"Hello," he said smoothly. "I'm calling on behalf of Atticus who seems to be particularily distressed at the moment, is the girl there... is Dawn there?" He seemed to be confused for a moment till Atticus actually said her name is his half-asleep state. He was exhausted and he'd be even more exhausted the next day.

Arthur paused, waiting a few moments to reply. "I'm sorry, but she's out at the moment, I could take a message if you would like to leave one and a number so she can call back." His tone hadn't faltered, so it seemed like everything was perfectly normal. He was tapping his arm with his free hand now, a bit of a habit when he needed to think, and try to calm down.

"Are you being honest?" Lav asked in a sharper tone since he knew that if one of his kind was worried about something it usually meant that there was something wrong it could have been a nightmare though and it was the reason he asked about it rather than went and investigated himself.

Arthur's voice was cool and calm, it faltered not. "As far as I know she probably went out to get something from the store." He kept it at that. "So I'm being honest, I don't know her exact location." "If that is all, then I'll tell her that-I'm sorry, I didn't catch your name." He quickly jumped to another topic, but it hardly seemed like it, seeing his mastery of words at work here.

"Don't be coy with me," Lav snapped, not wanting to fall for the trap since he gave his name out to few. This trick rarely worked for him and when it did he usually got enraged and killed the person, or at least attempted to. The shame was mainly in the fact that the name he went by was not his real name so it was a touchy subject for him. "I'll call back later." He hung up abruptly not wanting to deal with the stranger.

Arthur blinked and hung up the phone. "That guy was weird..." He said, walking and sitting down on the couch to watch the tv. He flicked through the channels finally finding something to watch for a bit. After a while, he went to check around the house. No sign of Dawn anywhere. "Dawn?" He called throughout the house, not finding a single trace of her around.

It had taken Lav a good half hour to get Atticus into the half-conscious state that he was now in. A few other members of his rank were there to assist in the grafting of the spirits. It was mainly used to keep a restless spirit from bothering the patient any longer. They'd find out it occurred in a week though when they completely lost their appetite before going on a ravenous binge. It occurred once and then stopped putting them on a diet where less calories were needed to survive since the spirit often emitted high focused energy that would make it possible to go without food for a day or two, when the said person ate though the energy would be cut off until it was needed again.

Arthur was starting to hate the silence. Dawn had been out for more then a few hours, which made the panic from his stomach rise to his throat, causing him to choke on it several times, trying to calm himself down and reassure himself that she was fine. He finally decided upon o course of action. He would ask the locals, and the shop she usually went to, to see if there was any sign of her around. After thinking it through, he made a few phone calls and headed out, preparing for a long, strenuous and important investigation. After all, what would his colleagues say if he had already lost track of one of the people he was ordered to watch?
