Tay entered the gate room. He found it strange that a portal was lying open and unattended, so he shut it off. He wasn't the type to go through portals; he preferred to simply know where their destinations were.
"Hmm. The energy to the gate comp is too low for more usage at the moment. I guess that means I won't be able to test the random combination analysis today. Oh well, I would've also needed a guinea pig to go through the portal... When it's back to normal, I'll try and calibrate the information provided by the D.I.N. to try and run through more gate combinations faster. Hopefully that will provide quicker results."
Tay was also musing about the alert his system had a while back about the intrusion into unknown space, and had figured it had come from here, but there wasn't much to do after that except prevent unauthorized personnel from following.
