Ashley was still intreged by the conversation. She sat back down onto the bed that she was standing near. "Well if this can be kept in this room and you will not act out against the people of the castle, then you can do as you wish" she stated she was a little startled that she had actually brought her self to say anything
she then stood back up and Looked at Juko sternly then looked at Alaric "Though you did try to kill me, I just hope that this incident wont happen again"

"Rest assured, m'lady, it won't," Alaric said, trying to sound as much of a guardian as he tried to be.
Just as he said this, a hectic knocking pounded on the door.
"Sir Gust, pardon the interruption, but..." a voice called from the other side of the door.
"No, feel free. Come in," Alaric said, turning and walking to the door to open it. As he did, he saw a young soldier standing on the other side of the doorway. His armor was cracked in certain places, the metal stained with grass, his tabard torn and frayed. The emblem of the kingdom was barely visible now.
"I just wanted to make sure you were with Lady Ashley," the soldier said, his breath heavy.
"Indeed, but... Why are you here? What happened to you?" Alaric asked him, curious.
"We were on patrol, and..." the man said, his gaze trailing away as he remembered, "... We were slaughtered."
"Slaughtered? By what?" Alaric replied, now expressing concern.
"A strange being... It cut us down easily, only a few of us escaped... I think I'm the first one to reach the castle, I haven't seen anyone else."
"Did you tell the king?" Alaric asked.
"No, sir. I figured he would be more protected than Ashley, so..." the soldier started, looking back at Alaric.
"Very good. Don't tell anyone you came here first, though. Some might see it as treason," he replied, looking back at Ashley, "Now, go and tell the king. Lady Ashley will be safe here with me."
The soldier nodded, and ran off. Alaric sighed, closing the door.
"Ashley, it might be a good idea to change our location... If something is out to attack you, then we probably shouldn't be in a location where you're so easy to find," he said, thinking of places to go, "Although, in a castle like this, this is probably as good a place as any..."

"I... Haven't a clue. If this is an empty threat, then your father won't excuse me taking you anywhere exactly 'safe,' considering the state of our barracks and such, though to take you anywhere else would be fatal if this indeed holds true..."
Alaric paused, sitting on the bed, thinking of places to go. He couldn't go to the king until the king himself sent a messenger for him, since he didn't want to get the young soldier charged with treason. The bedrooms weren't exactly good for defense. The kitchen would be good, though crowded with civilians and small. The library was rather open, and had many windows... The barracks were dirty, both in terms of the cleanliness and the men. He didn't trust the recruits quite yet. The blacksmith... The blacksmith would be a perfect position, albeit a bit warm inside the room. There were no windows, the room was lit by the forge, the blacksmith was a trustworthy man and a friend of Alaric's, and better yet, no one would expect her to be in there.
"We could stop by the smith for a while. At least, just until your father sends for us," he said, pitching the idea to her.

"That sounds like a great idea" the princess told Alaric she assumed he would know what to do better than she would.
She looked around the room once more and then out the window then she looked at Alaric. "Whats the quickest way out of here?" she asked him she hadn't yet been informed of the many passages of the castle because the King was too scared that she would use them to her own advantage.
Ashley sat back down on her bed where Alaric was also placed her hands crossed each other and she placed them in her lap. For an odd reason she was calmer that she normally would of been in this situation any other time. Ashley gave a quick short sigh and then got back up "When shall we leave?" she asked breaking the silence once again.
She was more than eager to go outside the castle, it seemed like anouther adventure to her. Not only had she never been to the blacksmith's she had also been excited that they were leaving together to hide. Ashley couldn't hold back the adrenaline running through her vanes this must prove how much of a thrill seeker she was.

Harper was wondering the halls. The armor he wore was new. It shined a gleamy silver. He walked around the castle patrolling the grounds and looking for any mysterious activity. He soon noticed that the princess wasn't seen even though he had explored most of the castle. He was thinking that she was probably off in her room some where. He then continued patrollign the halls.

Hearing Harper she turned to the door but then didn't open it she was too worried at the moment about how to get out and who was protecting the king.

Hareper was slightly confused. He walked into the room with the princess. "Leave to where. Also who is out there." he looked around the room and then fixed his attention back to the princess.

Remembering that the news didn't spread when there was gossip about attacks. The High ranking Knights and the King did not like that kind of negative news getting out and making the castle look weak.
"Oh did you not hear about the attack on the castle?" she answered his question with her own, well at least part of the question she thought.
"The solders were attacked a few moments ago. There was only one solider that we know of that made it back alive" she gave a stern look as she said so, she knew this was not a laughing matter.
"The ones who attacked are moving closer to the castle" she informed him.
"Alaric and I have decided to leave the castle for the time being, well at least until we know it is safe to come back."
She then paused a moment and looked at Hareper then at Alaric then began on again
"About that, who is guarding the King? I would like to know if he is safe before I leave." Ashley directed this statement to both of the men in hopes one would answer her.
