Hjarn raised her eyebrows and grimaced. "A carebear? Sounds annoying." Hjarn had no idea what a carebear was, but anything with the word care in it couldn't be at all interesting. "How many of you crazies are there? I need to know what to avoid." She scoffed and squished an ant crawling along her branch.

"Mmmm..." Hjarn mumbled with not the least bit of interest. "Sounds fascinating." She rolled her eyes and flopped over on her back. "Though, I suppose I understand. I'm not a fan of the 'love and happiness' around this place either." She cringed as she thought about Calidrya and Ecchymosis. They were by far the worst. "I mean, what the hell do they all have to be so happy about anyways?" She picked at a tooth with one razor sharp claw.

Hjarn leapt down from her branch and landed in a puff of dirt on the ground across from the other demon. "Stupidity is an ever growing infliction I have noticed."

She flicked a few stray strands of blue hair from her eyes and gazed at the black female with a calculating grin. "You aren't the most annoying demon I've ever encountered, but I've grown rather bored of your presence."

She sat back on her haunches and swished her tail around her feet. "So, you can either leave of your own choice, and we can part on relatively peaceful terms so that I can go back to my interrupted sleep. Or... well. We can resort to less than peaceful farewells." She grinned hopefully and dug her claws into the dirt. She was hoping it would be the latter.

Jaye was sprawled out on a low hanging tree branch dipping out over the peaceful pond. It was a beautiful afternoon and she let her tail gently stroke back and forth just on the surface of the water creating minute ripples.

Cali burst out of the cabin and ran straight for the cool clear water. "Aaaaaiiiieee!!" She squealed and did a jumping flip off the dock. She landed on her back and a giant wave went up around her.

"What the...!" Jaye let out a squeek and ruffled her feathers to dislodge the massive amounts of water that had just been sprayed all over her. "Calidrya!! Just what do you think you are doing? Can't you go play on the other side of the pond?"

Cali's head popped up out of the water and she paddled over to the branch Jaye was now sitting irritably on. "Heya Jaye!" She grinned and rolled over on her back to float in a circle underneath the soaking bird like wini.

Jaye rolled her eyes and began preening her wing feathers, intending to get up and fly away as soon as she was dried out.

Cali flicked some water in Jaye's direction and giggled. "You look so funny when you do that."

Jaye ignored her.

Cali shrugged and continued paddling around in wider and wider circles. "So, didja hear what I almost did a few days ago?" She paused but didn't wait for an answer. "I almost caught this fuzzy thing with this amulewhatsit on it and I ALMOST got myself a tiny wini thing to to take care of and train to be my best friend! But I got kind of busy cause there was this water puddle thing and I kinda fell asleep and it was gone when I woke up."

Jaye had absolutely no idea what the crazy elder was talking about. "You getting distracted? No!" She said sarcastically and stretched her wings out to test them. "Almost dry..."

Cali nodded and leapt onto the bank by the tree Jaye was ion then hopped up to sit by her on the branch. "Yup! Too bad I didn't get it. You guys are all no fun around here! I want someone to play with."

Jaye scooted a bit away from the sogging wet demon and sighed. "Why don't you just play with some of your friends?"

"Well I doooooooo," Cali groaned. "But they all have humans and other friends so I can't be around them ALL the time. But Einna said that because she gave me that potion thing that made me get all big and stuff like you, there's someway I can make my own amulewhatsits, I just don't know how to do it. She said I had to sumpin them. But I dont know what sumping is."

Jaye couldn't suppress a slight grin and gave the other wini a shake of her head. "Summon, cali. You need to summon them. But you can't do it by yourself. You need help from another elder to ma--" Jaye stopped as she realized what she'd just said. "Crap."

"Help? I need help?" She thought about that for a second and her expression slowly went from puzzlement to a smile to a full out grin showing every single tooth. "JAYE! You'll help me make amulewhatsits!? REALLY??? Wow, that is so so so so amazing of you! We can make some amulewhatsists and I'll teach them how to be fun and awesome and play games and swim and do flips and..." She trailed off lost in all the fun things she couldn't wait to share with someone.

Jaye took in a huge breath and let it out in a monstrous sigh. "What have I gotten myself into?"

Orion happened to be wandering by the garden. He didn't like the grey sky and preferred a warmer environment, but the rocks and crevices drew him in. He couldn't help it.

The bug guy scuttled along and found a warm patch of stone to flop on, sprawling out all his limbs and lazily letting his tail sway back and forth. He swore he saw a statue move. Naw... must be delirious.

Noise... There was lots of noise. Orion frowned and lifted his head as he heard pebbles bounce against one another after something disturbed their rest. "Oye... Who goes? "

That tail of his lifted into striking position. Pretty much above his head and it bobbed back and forth like a snake's head. Eyes searched the rubble and ruins until they fell upon the other demon. Wasn't that a statue? His frown grew more. "Statue's don't walk..." he muttered more to himself than anything else. Though it was probably quite loud and might get a huffy response from the stone skin winiko.
