((Ok, I gotta throw in the Priest now, cause Melody is supposed to be clueless about some of this. Just assume that Amadeus is there too. I tried to make it short for your sanities. xd

And by everyone on the other side, that includes Strake and Kaite as well. If I add their posts in too it'll be an even longer post. xd ))

Charles chuckled in joy as the two were flying over the city; such a wonderful sight, even with the rain and such. The lightening was holding off hitting the side of town they were heading to for now; good man above, good man! It wasn’t long til they reached the correct house, and had actually spent quite some time merely peeking through the window at the scene before them, starting from when Melody was placed on the bed. After all, everyone would be too preoccupied, especially the Gifted one, to notice their presence outside.

The Priest took great time to study Melody and Zack especially; how Melody reacted to the demon in disguise (knowing not that he was keeping Sotan away for a moment.), and remembered how the man had mentioned her innocence, and her worst fear being demons. And then having to face one of the most powerful ones in a struggle to save her charge! She’s seen nothing good of them, so one couldn’t really blame her. He also noted her good timing when she ran into the bathroom, then the glow from underneath. Zack looked mainly confused, but was able to follow hints really well.

And now, the angel was in full angelic glory and explaining herself to the two in the room, Zack and Sarah. “Now would be our time to go in, so make me visible please? Thanks! Now, time to show you how a professional works with this type of situation-”

However, as he began to move about the window, he lost his footing. He caught it immediately, but with too much force….

As the arrow question arose, Melody shook her head a bit. She couldn’t help but admire how well they were taking this so far. "The full details on who he is, I do not know, though he claimed himself to be, and I quote: 'I am Sotan, soon to be King of all Demons!’, end quote. He was trying to kill you, probably because you have a gift of Sight, Speech, and all the other powers that lets you see angels even when no one else can. It's hard to expla-"

But the thoughts were suddenly interrupted by a loud crash through the window, the Priest soaring past them all onto the bed with a loud plop. It was accompanied by:

"OOOUWAAA! OW! AIIIIEEEEEE! UMPH!"

He lay still for a moment, then moved his fingers and made a snap. The door then grew an extra padlock, and banging shouts behind them assured that the ones behind it were concerned. He then began to speak, his face still in the bed, but clearly audioable.

“The demon that attacked you (or rather, planning to attack you both) was one of the most powerful demons that ever lived, one from the Gruesome Four, who are so evil that they were given the demonic honor to have their names only one letter off from the Prince/King of Darkness, or as you all put it: Satan, the demon, etc.

So that would be: Sentan, Sintan, Sotan, and Sutan. The other four vowels for the second letter, for simple measures. They all believe that they should be the next King of Darkness, and therefore try to eliminate any threats on the Earth, they hope to one day defeat the other three and rule. They try to remove those humans who can communicate with them through Sight, Sound, and all of the sense, or the main term, The Gifted, because they are threats to their ruling plans. The Gifted; very few but very powerful individuals. That-” The Priest finally rose from his sprawled position and sat cross-legged on the bed, beaming at the three other mortals before him.

“-would be you, Zack.”

“The one that was at the festival was Sotan, if you’re curious. He was trying to kill you both separately, as well as most likely me and some others, assuming that the poison arrows would be enough to suffice. But when Melody fought for Zack’s life, she threw away most of the arrows that were there into space, therefore out of reach. So Sotan shot threw her off the light post, shot her, and hoped that it’d kill you both by wacking her into the stage. But they weren’t deadly arrows……………well, for humans they were, but for creatures, they are known as Stranding arrows.”

He got up and moved towards the angel girl, examining her for a moment, then speaking with a grin.

“So, Melody, you’re human now! That’s why you can walk on the ground, feel pain, (though you DO keep your wings, which should come in handy), and other human feelings that you‘ll soon learn. Not the best way to start this, I must say, but we’ll have you fixed up in no time, sweetheart! And teach you some about the human world too; you‘re gonna need it! Ohohohohohoho!” he added, then turned to Zack, mentally noting the angel’s surprised child-like look.

“And this assures you that you’re not insane, correct? You have the gift to see angels and demons, just like the one standing by the window, correct?” he added, noting to Amadeus.

“There’s so much more I need to explain to you all……I hate having to put it in a quick summary…….but first, to the young lady before we move on to other issues. Have you had any luck with the arrow, before I let in the screaming people? Or any questions that come to mind at the moment? I'll be here awhile, so you'll get plenty of other chances if one doesn't come to mind at the moment. It's alot to take in, so I understand.” he asked, indicating to the loud people banging on the door.

Melody was in a temporary happy perk; human, she was finally human! Oh, to be able to walk about in the green grass, to go what people called ‘shopping‘, to spend more time with Zack. The last was definitely her favorite one….more time with Zack! While this whole away-from-heaven was so awful, this was also so wonderful! Melody didn’t know WHAT to think anymore. She didn’t even notice Amadeus come into the room, she was so excited!!!

OW, ok, moved to swiftly there; that hurt her bleeding side.

((okay, thanks for taking over for a post, I'm feeling a bit better, I think I can come up with something, of course with what you wrote a decapitated caterpillar could write something to that post.))

Strake sat around when everybody in the room freaked out from the sound of the crashing, he was sure it was nothing for he couldn't sence any evil, but then again sometimes his senses are easy to blind. He was rather weak at sensing things and this didn't occur to him for a few moments.

Katie was trying to get the door to unlock but with no luck. "Strake could you maybe kick this door open, since you know, there was a loud noice that sounded like a window breaking coming from this room." Katie said rather impatiently, noticing that Strake really didn't seem to care she was irratated.

Strake was lost in thought about the angel, about a way he could gain her trust. If only I hadn't been such a selfish a** to the priest, I could've tried to find him and got him to tell her through speech, because as far as I know of, demons can't really use speech to speak to angels, and she wouldn't trust me alone. That old priest seemed to understand that I wouldn't harm him, but I couldn't help my reaction to him. It's impossible for a demon in hiding to ignore the carnal desire for blood, rudeness saved his life. I really wonder if he could understand that. I must find a way to tell the angel that I'm not harmful, and I must convince the same. Grr, I'm atleast glad that I got a chance to shock Sotan, if not I'd go crazy from this delema. I think he may have actually been a good thing.

It took a few minutes for Strake to notice that Katie had asked him a question, but he heard it, it just took a little while to register. "You want me to kick down the door?" Strake asked a bit confused.

"Yes, that kind of explains why I asked you to kick down the door." Katie said very irratated that Strake took so long then realised that he must have been thinking. "Could you please kick down this door Strake?" She asked in a softer kinder tone.

"Okay." Strake said shortly as he walked up to the door then did a soft yet hard sounding jump kick to warn whoever was in the room that they were trying to break in. "That was just a warmup kick." Strake smiled acting as if he were embarrased. He then went back from the door and stretched his legs a bit, so he could give them enough time to be ready when he gets in. "Don't want to pull a muscle." Strake said, then stood up from his leg stretching, then started to stretch his arms and body for more time. After enough stalling he ran towards the door and jump kicked it at full speed, knocking it down and making the hinges fall off. He had accidentally put some demonic power into his kick.

(( Lol XD Power to the caterpillar!))

The sound of glass shattering and someone flying through the window caused Zack and Sarah to both fall to the floor. Duck and cover! When they saw that it was an old man, Sarah cautiously walked to him, and stretched out her arm, thinking he was dead. the moment he started speaking, Sarah jumped back, letting out a squeal, for he scared the living daylights out of her, causing her pass out almost instantly. Zack had hurry and catch her before she hit the ground. He then slowly and carefully set her down on the floor, right before the priest mentioned that Zack was some sort of "Gifted" person.

This shocked Zack. He had heard all else the priest had said before that, but that's what made Zack stare at the old man in awe, his mouth open slightly.

After hearing and sponging in all that the priest had said, Zack kept his focus on a spot on the wall. So...that's why Melody was shot and thrown onto him. She WAS protecting him, like he had thought originally. And he wasn't insane all those years, like the priest pointed out. Yup, there was the other angel over by the window where the honorable Priest Charles came crashing through.

But then...someone WAS trying to kill him, and that's really bothered him the most. This little bit of information caused his blood to boil. As if his life couldn't get any crappier, now he's told that he's being hunted down by four very powerful and evil demons?! Why? What had he ever done to deserve this?

He would have voiced his opinions out had he not heard a bang against the door. Well, sure the others behind the door had been banging for the past however long it was they were locked in there, but this was much louder. He turned to the priest, and clenched his fists as the door was fully knocked down.

"Just as something finally good happens in my life," Zack says threateningly low, "I have to hear news that's it's going to stay shitty? Good God, why doesn't the whole world just blow up?!" His anger was causing his volume to rise. "I might as well get kicked out of my crappy apartment and live in the street!"

Obviousy Tristan and Kevin were confused, especially after seeing Sarah laying on the floor. Jay had since returned from grabbing the numbing extract, and was less than equally confused, but confused nonetheless. Silently, he hoped his trek to the upstairs bathrooom wasn't for naught.

(( =O S'cuse Zack's use of the engilsh language....))
PostPosted: Wed Jun 25, 2008 9:50 am

((Lol, well sorry, I've already got over two people right now, plus I gotta throw Lily and Chris back in sometime to keep them in.

Ah, and Zack's just staying in character, so it's all cool. ))

Melody now began feeling a multitude of strange feelings, none of them good, as she heard the door kick down behind her, by the demon, of course.

First, she noticed that when the man had crashed through, Sarah had passed out when the Priest had begun speaking. Zack had caught her midfall, and something about the way that he caught her made something inside of the angel pull painfully, only it wasn't the arrow. He had caught her what people called "bridal-style" where the head is near the shoulder and the one out cold is held in both arms. It made her almost...angry, but sort of sad too. What was this feeling? She wasn't sure, but she thought not long on it and listened to the Priest. Some of what he said was very familiar, through stories and legends that angels liked to tell on the Earth.

But as the door kicked down behind her, it turned out that Zack wasn't taking it as well as she had hoped. She could see the anger boiling up to a point where he looked quite angry. Worried, she was about to go and help him to calm down, when he said something that made her freeze in her tracks and rethink her efforts:

"Just as something finally good happens in my life, I have to hear news that's it's going to stay shitty? Good God, why doesn't the whole world just blow up?!"
"I might as well get kicked out of my crappy apartment and live in the street!"

So, had her effort been for nothing? She had taken in many days of ignorance in both heaven officials and in Zack, both of their glares of either hatred or anger stayed in her mind, especially after the incident with the truck. For years she reduced herself to hiding behind bushes and buildings to keep out an eye, under orders from the Big Man upstairs. She had heard many stories from other angels of Gifted ones, who speak of how well they do together and how they wished they could "hang out" in a way that sticked to one world. No hateful glares, and they actually kept conversations.

Something inside Melody felt...broken. So she had done such a bad job that he actually hated himself, his life, and it seemed to get only worse if everytime she came about things got more "shitty" as he put it. If this was true (and he wasn't one to lie very often, not big ones), then she had failed at her job so miserably-

Wait...........was the arrow God's plan too?! That would mean...

....That he didn't want her either; it was a way to get her out of heaven. To banish her, forever.

She could feel more water well up in her eyes, but the usually innocent childish shine gone from them; so now she got it, she was unwanted. She needed to get out of here then; Zack seemed to have an angel that was already here in this room: the Sarah girl. She seemed to do a better job in his opinion, so why was Melody herself here? She couldn't go back to heaven, cause God didn't want her, and Zack didn't want her, so what was left for her? To wait and die on the street like those without roofs do, and just leave in the arrow. The roofless........was that the term? Foodless? Shelterless? Currencyless? GAH! She WAS useless.

But she couldn't leave now; the door was blocked by people, and it'd be weird just to go through the broken window. Unsure of what to do now, she silently walked across the room and sat on the bed, her wings fluttered a bit as she curled her feet up onto the bed so her knees were at her chest, and wrapped her arms around her knees, making a sort of spot to rest her head.

"If you're under some belief that we're not gonna do anything about it, I have to say you are mistaken." Priest Charles said, keeping his tone nice and cheerful, although after seeing Melody break it was rather tempting to change it. He knew full and well that the girl was ignored ever since she sacraficed her safety and whatnot to save him. It was an anticlamatic ending due to the lack of faith in people. Niether one's fault, but that gave the boy no excuse to just rant about his life when he was saved twice within less than 20 years.

"I never said this would be easy to hear, but perhaps if we'd keep our cool for a bit, I'll find a way to get you out of that stuffy apartment and into something a bit bigger. More comfortable for a man's lair.

After all, if the angel is going to be staying with you, she'll need a bit moree room other than a one room, one bath apartment. It'd be a bit too cramped for two people; Ohohohohoho!"

Melody looked up from her position on the floor in some sort of shock, lifting up her head and looking at the man: What?

He paused for effect, most likely a shocked (and still angry Zack), then put a hand on his chin and paced. "Weelllll, I was gonna save that info for later, but since you're so inclined on how miserable your life is despite your friends and the fact you survived to become old enough to be in a band in the first place, let alone have such the honor as teh Battle of the Bands. While it wasn't the most fortunate thing to be nearly cut off short on your performance, you're still alive and safe, and a wonderful performance I might add! However, perhaps you should look at it from another's point of view; one of the behind-the-scene cast of this wonderful play called life, well, your life." he said, nodding to the angel on the bed, who was now looking at something intersting on the floor.

Melody looked up and decided to drive away any misconception, and used Speech to the Priest, which was sort of pointless since angels, demons, and Zack could hear her.

"That's a kind offer for you to make, Holy one, it really is and I thank you for it, but I highly doubt that Zack would want such a thing if I'm going to be with him. It might be better if I just leave; it seems like I've caused enough trouble for him as it is.

"Nonsense, the boy is just a bit scared right now; he'll need you more than ever. Just give it a bit and he'll calm down-"

"HE HATES ME, Holy one! Dispises my presense, wants me out of his life! Even though he was silent for his safety (which I don't mind and probably would have done the same), the look of ignorance has by now turned to hatred over the years. He already has the Sarah girl whom he cares for and she to him, and since God sent me down here to get rid of me, so I have no purpose! I have failed ultimately!......M-my apologizes for interupting you...." her voice now cried out loudly in her speech, putting the man in silence for a moment.

"Wait, wait, slow down! Why would God want to........?" he paused for a moment, and had an actual look of realization come upon his features as he came upon the real reason for her distress and cry outs. They were already scared, so he couldn't mention the prophesy yet, so he took a moment to come up with a better answer. He walked up to her and bent down slightly, looking at her in the eye as not to break her concentraion.

"Nonono, you've got it all wrong, child! God doesn't want to get rid of you. It was an accident within an accident! This demon of yours was meaning to kill you, but mixed up his weapons. Everyone in heaven is very worried about you Melody; I know you cant see it in your position, but it's been very chaotic up there! The officials are all gathered and concerned for you. God's concerned about you!

"Concerned I'll screw up, you mean?"

He gave the girl a smile. "Maybe Magmus, the ol' faithless fool, but not everyone else, and not God. Do you think the Lord would send someone down ehre if he didn't feel you worth it? Given you charge of a Gifted One if he didn't think you could handle it, or take away the privilage if he thought you were doing a bad job?"

"..............guess not." she said in a thoughtful kind of voice. "Thank you, Holy One."
Realizing that this had gotten more personal than she realized, she stood up quickly, stumbling a bit, and bowed. "M-My apoloigizes for distracting you all!" she said quickly, back in human voicing.

((Just to clarify: Melody doesn't realize the chaos going up in heaven, so she's under the belief that God brought her here to get rid of her, when it was really both a prophecy and an accident. The Priest is trying to clear it up for her, without bringing up more stress.

Plus the pain from the arrow, she's kinda emo at the moment.
Oh, and she's trying to think of the term "homeless", if you were curious. But you probably knew that already. ))

(( I think it's cute when Melody doesn't know what a word is, and she's trying to think up of what it is. ))

Zack's focus shifted from a small spot on the wall to the angel as she walked in front of him and sat on the bed. She seemed distraught compared how happy she looked not two minutes ago. Probably due to the fact that she's now stranded on Earth, and can probably never go back to her home in Heaven. Or, maybe, it was because she might have thought his outburst was targeted towards her. He didn't mean for it sound like he wasn't appreciative to her for saving him, and now that he knows she really exists, he doesn't really blame her for everyone thinking he was mentally unstable as a child.

However, at the mention of Zack being able to get help moving out of his crummy apartment turned his full attention towards the Priest. He felt slightly relieved; but his relief turned to disbelief when the priest mentioned that he'd be living with Melody. He'd be living with a girl! He didn't care that she was an angel, let alone his guardian angel, he was more perturbed by the fact that she was a she...a female! That's the biggest reason why he didn't agree to live in Sarah's guest house. He wasn't actually living with Sarah, but he was still on her family's property, about 5 miles from the main house itself...And this crazy old coot was telling Zack he had to share a shelter with a girl...

He could just imagine Jay's little smirk behind him.

A little voice in his head made Zack freeze, however, and eyed the angel sitting on the bed. She was staring at the priest, but he could hear her voice in his head. He looked at the priest, and saw that he was looking back at Melody. As the conversation went on, he looked between the speakers as they spoke.

At Melody's burst of Zack hating her, he continued to stare at her. He didn't hate her, he was just confused. The more she went on about how she believes everyone hates her, especially him, made him want to speak up, but he didn't know how, so he let the conversation go on.

After she had asked for everyone's apologies, Zack meant to say something, but Jay interrupted him.

"What the hell are you apologizing for?" he said, standing up and throwing his arm around her shoulders, holding her on the opposite side the arrow was on. "Anything for a pretty lady like yourself."

At this, Kevin took Sarah's cue (seeing as how she was still on the floor), and rolled his eyes and pulled Jay off Melody. "Jeeze! You don't know this girl for five minutes, and you're hitting on her already. She's already called for, you idiot!"

Zack's blood left his face as Jay and Kevin smiled at him. "Uhm...I think we should really concentrate on getting that arrow out of her before we start throwing cracks at each other." He glared at his two friends.
PostPosted: Thu Jun 26, 2008 9:25 am

((Lol @ Jay and Kevin. xd Yeah, I'm trying reeeeally hard not to overdue Melody's term-mixup, cause then it just gets old if it's done too much. It's tempting to add more, though! whee Maybe once they actually travel around the city or something, I can add some more lol moments.....>.>))

Melody looked to Zack, seeing as how he was going to say something (and he seemed to look both surprised and...almost alarmed as the Priest had mentioned his plan), but the one called Jay suddenly rose and put a arm around her shoulder and held her to him before Zack would get out what he wanted to say. Ah, that’s right, Jay couldn’t hear her before! Although she really didn’t understand his last sentence....

But before she even had time to say anything, the one called Kevin moved his eyes about strangely, before pulling Jay off of her. But Kevin confused her too; Jay wasn’t throwing any punches or kicks at her, or physically attacking in any way, so why was he saying Jay was “hitting on her”? Humans were such strange little creatures; or was she just inexperienced? Still, they were intersting to listen to.

"Zack, do you feel alright? You look ill! Do you have a fever?" Melody suddenly couldn't help but ask as she looked at the color leave his face. She moved to him and put a hand on his forehead; he seemed warm....

"H-He'll be fine, Melody; he's just nervous! After all, it's alot for you all to take in! Now, Zack's right; let's get out that arrow! It's probably why your mood is shifting on such extremes." The Priest took her hand gently and lead the girl away from him, trying to keep Zack from joining Sarah on the floor. After all, men and women don't usually live with each other anymore unless they were either married, or there was an affair. The boy's face was priceless though, and his friends were trying to rub it in a bit; Ohohoho! Ah, that's human life for you!

However, the man didn't have too many fears of the two staying under hte same roof; Melody was too innocent to try anything (let alone understand most of the human world), and Zack was never the type to be hitting on women. It'd work out well; if he wanted more people in the same house (such as the rest of his band), well, they could work out the kinks once the girl didn't have an arrow in her side.

As he sat the girl down on the bed, he also kept in the back of his mind the demon that was in the room. It was obvious that the wounded angel feared him; after all, she had let to have any luck with demons, and chances are that heaven wasn't so nice when describing them.

"Now, this shouldn't take long at all; otherwise I wouldn't have been so leniant in my speeches. Now, give me a moment to slightly change your attire, dear; it's hard to see through the thick fabric." he said, and took a moment to examine the wound for himself, and snapped his fingers. In an instant a large hole around the wound appeared, the dress fabric instantly disappearing, but was not in any way indecent. The skin around it was red and puffy, and it was slightly gross to look at the arrow just sticking out like that, but not as bad as the man had thought.

He then suddenly bowed a moment, mumbling what was a prayer, out of earshot of all but the Lord.

"Dear Lord, allow me, as your lowly servant, to help the angel who sacraficed her safety for her charge to regain her strength. By your will and decision, allow me to find a way to help remove the weapon of the enemy.

Also, as irrelvant as this is, help this angel find her confidence and give her the strength to see the goodness in herself. Help her, and her charge, survive in this time of turmoil and watch over them. Same for Zack, and help him in his time of confusion.

In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit;
Amen.

As he stayed bowed and on his knees, his hands suddenly began glowing orange and with power. Opening his eyes, he blinked and sighed. "Ah, well, that was easy to figure out, but....." he looked at the angel (who stared in complete awe, her childish innocent look back on her face) for a moment, before turning to the others.

"Alright, this means that the arrow isn't too deep but still not in a good spot, so we gotta haul it out, and quickly. Jay, you pin down her left arm. Zack, you take the right arm; Kaite, take the wings so the boys don't get knocked over. Kevin and Tristain, each take a leg and keep it pinned (it's in the dress somewhere, you'll find it). She might not struggle much if at all, since it won't take long, but merely to avoid mistakes of angleing it in further. The ansteisha (sp?) probably won't work on this wound til it's out, since it's of dark power and not human origined. Keep it down here to numb her when it's out though, so she won't be in pain once we finally remove it.

The good thing about angels, is that they recover very quickly." he said, as he put on some medical gloves that seemed to come out of nowhere....

Melody looked about, slightly alarmed; what did they mean, "pin her down"?

Do not be in fear, for I am with you, and they mean no harm to you.

She looked about for a moment, recgonizing that voice. Was that....?
She smiled a bit; it was.

Lily wandered about the rest of the festival grounds, although now soaking wet due to the rain; strange, there hadn't even BEEN any call for rain for the past month.

But she still could not get over what happened before out of her head; the contest lieterally went out with a bang, and apparently the Priest had given a speech as to what it was, a logical explanaition. Although Lily had snuck out the back stage before the doors were closed up front, something about taht didn't seem...........right.

Oh well; at least she had lost her brother in the crowds. She had actually been able to enjoy herself so far; the rains were no damper to the festival, and it had also lessened now to a drizzle on this side. The music, vends, laughter; it was all still here! Walking about and munching on a hotdog, she sat down at a bench and began to watch one the Magic booth give off performances; this one was a regular, a friendly fellow who was usually a hit with the younger children.

(( oh, yay...luffin the mysteries. X3 ))

Zack, Tristan, Jay, and Kevin did as they were told. Zack, Tristan, and Kevin were all relieved that the priest didn't instruct Jay to hold one of Melody's legs, but they also knew that he wouldn't do anything, since he knows she's an angel, and he would probably be struck by lightening or something...Yes, struck by lightening inside the house.

Zack held her arm down, but looked up at Strake. He didn't look at Strake with any anger, or caution, he just looked at Strake, wanting to watch if he would do anything. He was just so caught up with the news, he forgot about Strake until now. Melody had mentioned he was a demon, and the priest must've known, and known that she was a little hostile towards him.

The color had returned to Zack's face, the moment Melody touched his forehead. Her hand was surprisingly warm, and he wasn't used to any woman touching his forehead; his mom didn't even do that - she usually just threw a thermometer in his mouth. Because he wasn't used to a female touching him, he blushed, which had since receded. Now that he was thinking about it, though, the blush slightly reappeared, and he turned from Strake and looked down at Melody's arm that he was holding, wanting to hide his blushy face.
PostPosted: Thu Jun 26, 2008 4:58 pm

The Priest watched as everyone took their positions (and also couldn't help but notice the Gifted boy blush; Ohohohoho, young men these days!), then walked around to the wounded side of the angel, now wearing medical gloves that their orgin was still unknown.

Melody looked about as everyone was trying to hold her down; so they were gonna pull it out. Oh great; this is gonna hurt....

But as her eyes glanced towards Zack, she noticed that he was red in the face again. The color shifting back and forth so fast; that couldn't be healthy for him. "Zack, you sure you aren't ill? You face looks a bit red-AHHH!" she asked again, but a sudden pain in her side shifted her attention with a cry out, as the man was now testing the soreness of the wound.

"Hm......pretty sore, but she's been walking all about town in this, so that makes sense.." Charles murmured to himself, before turning to the group. "Alright, now this is going to hurt a bit, but I'll try to as quick and careful as I can. We'll make it on three."

His hands moved so they were palm-in on either side of the arrow, and the orange glow seemed to grab it in makeshift hands. He couldn't touch this bare-handed, being demon's work and all, or it could take over him or harm him as well as the girl.

Melody, now feeling this "pain" begin to not go away, started shifting about, attempting to get out of their grasp by mere instinct, and not will.

"Hang in there, Melody; you're doing fine, just try to keep still if you can fight the instinct. Ok, like I said before, on three.

One...................two........................THREE!"

There was a weird sucking sound, like pulling a plunger from a toilet, accompained by a screech, the second sound coming from the angel. She was held down successfully, though, so she did not lift into the air like the man had feared.

The man fell to the floor, the orange stuff now having the full arrow in it's hands. The girl lay still, looking sweaty but otherwise alright.

"Well, that wasn't too bad; thank the Lord it came out in one piece, or we'd have harder work ahead." he nodded to himself as he got up, pulling out a random bag and putting the arrow in it (again, from unknown orgin). "You all can let go now, she's not going to fight back now; I was worried she was gonna get you two boys at the front with her wings, but it looks like Kaite had it under control. After all, it's the wings that fight back the hardest in pain, and they can be deadly." he added, now preparing to clean out the wound and seal it by preparing cloths and other materials. His first job before being a priest was actually a doctor, but that he liked to keep to himself. After all, he didn't like his past very much.

Melody was breathing heavily, but it was to calm down her nerves. She was happy to feel the lump that was the arrow gone from her system.

"Thank you........so much....all of you. I didn't hit anyone of you, did I?" she asked, her voice strangely quiet-sounding. Her body felt like it had been dragged for miles; was this "tiredness" that humans felt?

"We're almost done, child; we're just gonna clean this out so it won't get infected; you don't want a wound to do that, it just makes it painful again. This might sting a bit, but you've gotten through the worst of it already. Jay, do we still have the medication you brought down earlier?" he asked, beginning to clean out the wound, the girl not really struggling at all.

((Lol, agreed. The Priest seems to be an enigma in himself. xd
Wait.......is Sarah still on the floor? <.<))

(( Oddly, yes...yes she is...>_> She'll be up and about here in a bit...I think I'll wait for Dart to post before I post something though.

When you described the arrow coming out as "pulling a plunger from a toilet"... gonk I was like....EWWWW!!!! ))

((Sounds like a plan. Poor Sarah is missing the whole plost twist. xd

Yeah, I was debating whether to put that line up or not; it is sorta gross, I agree. gonk Besides, I've never had an arrow wound, so I was just sorta guessing what it'd sound like. xd

Actually, it's probably a subconsious thing from the fact that our town's utilities company said to not drink and to carefully use our tap water for awhile, cause they found some bad stuff (some sort of fecal stuff) in the water in one spot and decided to test it before saying it was safe. It shut down all the restruants and other stores for the day or two and everything; they've just recently said that the bad stuff wasn't in our area and it was safe to use teh water again.

Gawd, that means everyone and their dog will be eating out tomorrow, cuase the restaurants will be back in business. xd ))

(( We had something like that...only instead of something fecal...it was mercury...o.O They're still saying the water isn't good to drink, but we drink it anyway. noone's died yet, so that must be a good thing...unless it's a long term type thing...=/ ))

((Dude, seriously, you guys just had a posting frenzy yesterday huh? I guess Katie ended up doing something, not sure what, was she holding down a wing? I guess, that's how it looked to me, I'll just go with that, although I was planning on making her come out of the bathroom to find that Melody was an angel and doing the whole freakout thing, you know that freakout thing that a normalish city girl would do if she saw an arrow in an angel. Oh btw, Mercury is a really deadly acid to people, atleast I think it's deadly, I know it's super poisonous, like diaria, but it's probally not harmful since water is used to dillute acids, and it'd be so spread out that it wouldn't be enough to kill a cell. Here we actually had meth and other powerful drugs found in our water, but it was a small amount, only a few dozen bottles. It would have taken atleast 1000 bottles for it to be noticable.))

What the hell is that on the cieling, oh my-well I'm a demon so I wouldn't say god, and sent Satin to a different demmension, so why would I say. I'm gonna go with Chuck Lee, or Bruce Norris. Oh yeah it was Bruce Lee. Okay I'll try that again, oh my Bruce Lee there's a bug on the cieling! Well that wasn't a very exciting thought I was too busy thinking about what to say. What'd the priest say, wait he's not moving his mouth. I guess he's using speech, that's understandable, demon's can here human's speach. Wait what was that noice, it was the angel, I can here an angels speach? Maybe I'm just hearing surface thoughts, she's probally thinking about what she's speaching as she speaches so I think I'm hearing speach. She gets distracted by random things alot, it's so cute. What kind of a demon thought was that, no wonder why I'm an exile. It's called a rug babe, it's used for decoration, too bad I can't speach to her, well atleast as far as I know, I can try. Let's try a simple sentence, I want to try that bug one again. Strake thought to himself quietly just kind of looking around, looking at the bug on the cieling when Zack looked at him.

"Oh my Bruce Lee there's a bug on the cieling!" Strake expressed in speach. I think it was good that time, I had it full of the emotion that I wanted to get out at first, I should take up acting if this musician thing doesn't work out. Strake thought to himself smiling.

"Can't angels heal themselves? I thought that was like one of their special things that they could do." Strake asked in speach a bit confused, then the thought occured to him: Holy s**t, Zack's gifted right? ******** that meens I would've given myself away as a demon to him. Strake was practically yelling at himself because of his stupidity. He didn't know that Zack already knew and he really felt stupid right then. Her blood is just all over that arrow, it's kind of...revolting? I really am an exile, I don't even find angel blood tempting. Why don't I just want to gorge on it? Or atleast want to create more. I guess I've just lost all savagery, I've probally become weaker too. I'm gonna need to train up in private.

"Until that time comes, my friend, I suggest you choose your side carefully; the wrong choice might not work out so well for you later on. Time is the most obvious medicine, and it's on my side. You will all die by the end, all the angels and humans, and you if you're not careful."

The memory of Sotan's words lingered in Strake's mind. Strake was truly in fear of Sotan, he was one of the most elite, the top four really. They were supposed to be nothing compared to the king himself, nothing was supposed to compare with the king except his son. I'm his son and I was good enough to kill him, but it was with a simple portal beneath his feet, he wasn't expecting it, niether was I. I wish I would have had a chance to figure out how to use that ability, but I was exiled so quickly that I couldn't even take a breath.

"And this time, I'm not as alone as you think."

He's not alone...does that meen his other three are gonna help him? Or have they actually taken control of the underworld without the help of this "puny necklace" as he put it? Either way this preist would be a great asset to help me, and this beautiful angel is the only REAL chance I have at an angelic companion, even if she is at the same IQ as a rat with wings. She has the curiousity of a child. That could work if the priest took her under his wing, well took her wing and then put it under her, I don't know. I really hope that priest is on my side. Strake thought again, he was in true fear, underneath his frozen skin it wasn't fear or just frustration, it was decision all these feeling((huh Again-Faber Drive)). Strake decided that his violin in his left hand and his six string on his back were getting heavy and went over to the corner and set them down. It's that bug again.

"Thank you father, priest, sir, Mr. Priest sir." Katie said starting to blush, she really didn't know what to call a priest, in fact she thought that he might be a rabi. "Were you guys the loud crash through the window?" Katie asked, her mind suddenly redirected to the window. It suddenly hit Katie, "SHE'S AN ANGEL!" Katie practically screamed in surprise. She didn't realise that she had wings until this moment.

((Two schools got closed down a few years ago because there was some sort of problem with mercury (mine included...yay!). I just think it's stupid becuase 1) no one has gotten sick, or died yet...and...2) all the older people are furious! I'm not kidding! XD It's so funny. They all say that there's nothing wrong with mercury, and that they've actually played with it as kids, and nothing is wrong with them. Ah, old people make me laugh...

Haha....oh my Bruce Lee there's a bug on the cieling...XD I think I'm going to use that in day to day conversation on Wowcraft..if you don't mind, that is. =] ))

Jay gave Priest Charles the anesthesia, just about when Katie cried out in sudden realization that she was, in fact, holding Melody's angel wings. And for some odd reason, this outburst was the one that woke Sarah from her deep unconsciousness, though no one really seemed to notice.

Sitting up slowly, she realized that everyone, except Strake, was crowed around the bed. What happened? Why was she on the floor? Oh yeah! So everyone must be around the bed because of the dead priest who came flying through the window. That would also explain why Strake wasn't by the bed - she didn't think demons cared about whether or not a holy man was dead. As she sat up a little more, she saw that it wasn't the priest on the bed, that he was standing by the bed, like everyone else. Wait...where was the angel?

Having her head up so close after waking up after a blackout caused her to have sudden dizziness, and she had to lay back down. She was a little annoyed that no one seemed to notice that she awake. How long had she been out, if they weren't worried about her anymore? If they were worried at all. There was an angel in the room, so why would the care if a normal human being, such as herself, passed out
?

Zack looked up at the arrow as the priest held it in his hands, and then put it in a bag that seemed to come out of nowhere. Where was he getting these things? Did the priest have some sort of secret compartment hiding in his shirt? Zack was thankful that the pouch was there to hide the arrow, elsewise he'd be joining Sarah on the floor. The sight of blood made Zack woozy. He wasn't on the side where the arrow had been, so thankfully (again) he was able to divert his eyes away from the blood actually emitting from the body itself.

Scooting back, so he was pretty much against the wall, he was able to lay his head against the wall, and calm himself. Just because he wasn't going to pass out didn't mean that he was just perfectly fine. There was still the aroma, and the thought, of the blood, and THAT made him want to puke.

Tristat had walked up next to Zack, and began fanning his hand in front of Zack's forehead, making his body temperature go down, hopefully, and not give him the urge to up chuck.

Kevin stayed at his post, no longer holding onto the angel, to give the priest any help that he may need, and Kevin may be able to offer. Normally, this would be Sarah's job, but seeing as how she hasn't gotten up from the floor made it a bit difficult. She was the one the with the doctor dad. Kevin decided that he had the most maturity and steady hands for the job.

((I made Sarah's texting color different...She's becoming more involved than I thought...so...yeah...))

((Lol@ Strake's thoughts.
Mecury? Wow, that's interesting to say the least. I love how schools react over stuff like that, and old people in general. xd But yeah, I think as long as you don't drink the mecury of the water in huge amounts you should be fine. Especially if hte old people are still alive and fine with it, meaning they didn't die from it. xd ))

The Priest nodded at Katie's first question adding a "Well, it was me anyways. Lost my footing...", and also nodded his thanks at Jay for handing him the medication. However, he couldn't help but jump slightly as Katie cried out in a sudden realization, in which the aged figure couldn't help but chuckle at. "Ohoho, this is indeed no dream, Katie. It's real, but it's best to keep the fact that the girl IS an angel to yourself. Don't want anyone hunting her down, now, do we?" he asked, his eyes momentarly meeting with Strake's as he said this in not really a threatening way, more of a oh-just-so-you-know kind of fashion.

Using a first aid kit taht was in the house, he finished sealing off the wound on hte angel, before snapping his fingers again. The dress the girl was wearing suddenly was shifting competely this time, til it became a knee-length light blue v-neck nightdown, with short sleeves.

"That's probably more comfortable; one layer and less frills. Women and their clothing choices...." he shook his head with a slight chuckle as he clenaed the needle and then filled the needle with the medicine. "Now, I need you to let me give you something that will help you sleep and get rid of the pain. Since you are an angel, while this would normally take a human days or even weeks to heal completely, you should only need maybe 7 hours of rest at best." he said, as he put the needle into teh girl's shoulder, before he moved the comfortor and blankets out from under the angel, trying to give her something to have on top of her.

"Let's see, we've got blankets here, and you put your head on the pillow here-Melody?" he asked, noticing that she had suddenly gotten out of bed. But he just gave her medicine that was gonna knock her out....

Melody had stumbled over to Zack, seeing that he was in distress. It was weird, that bandage stuff over her wound, but she was feeling better than she was a few minutes ago. Concerned for his health, she knelt down so that she was sitting on her knees, and put a hand to his forehead again. It was very hot now, and Tristian had been trying to cool him down before, meaning.....she took her two hands and cupped Zack's head in them, looking at him kindly but with a slightly.....motherly look.

"I knew it; you ARE ill! You need the rest more than I do, Zack; you must get better! And it's best not to lie about if you are ill; there is no shame in admitting when you are sick." she said, her face surprisingly determined, yet her voice soft and soothing. "You need to get into the bed and rest awhile; I'-Ill b-b-be juuuuuuuuuuuuuust.................fiiine......zzzzzzz."

BUt she had suddenly began slurring and losing her words, til they became nonunderstandable jibberish. Confused yet happy, she felt a strange force that made her want to shut her eyes. She tried fighting it, but it was no use. She closed her eyes, and slipped out of consciousness. In real life, she was falling backwards in a strange angle, since she was still sitting on her legs, and her hands had let go of Zack.

The Priest caught her by the shoulders, and poked a spot in the middle of her back. Her wings went back into her body without a fuss, and since his back had been fixed earlier by his accompaning angel, he lifted the girl and made his way back to the bed, lying her in it and covering her up in the blankets.

"Whew.....Such a handful for an angel.....well, what do you all say we let her sleep in peace, and get us some fresh air? I'm sure not all of you want to stay in here, since teh aroma of blood is still in here a bit." he nodded.

"Besides, we all need a chance to sit down, and find our now consious hostess a nice place to lie down, hm?" he added, as he stretched and looked towards Amadeus. "Why don't you join us, Amadeus? I'm sure this has been stressful for you as well, and there is something I still need to tell you as well." he said, before going over to Sarah, and helped the girl to her feet and kept one arm around her to keep her from falling.

"I apologize for scaring you so, Ms. Sarah. I'd try to pick you up, but I think I might've strained my back a bit with Melody. Even with the wings in her body, angels are still slightly heavier than people think. Ohohoho!" he chuckled softly as not to hurt her head.

Melody was now sleeping peacefully, and had grabbed the other pillow and wrapped her arms around it, holding it to her like a girl would a stuffed animal or a doll. She murmured slightly in her sleep but no audio words could be formed, but a small smile formed on her face.

"Eh..........pardon me for my bad question, but what room would be best for this? I'm not familiar with this household." he sighed, and one could put a anime sweatdrop in to fully show his expression as he gave a nervous chuckle. After all, he had sorta..........taken charge of the stressful situation, but now that it was calm, he forgot to attempt to map the house out before crashing in. Now he felt slightly lost; heck, he'd gotten lost in a large department store before!

((did nobody want to reply to Strake's speach or was it just not working? Sorry about the shortness, but my creativity went into this new song I wrote.))

"Hold up a minute, I got to talk to this priest in private for a moment. The angel can stay but the rest of you need to leave." Strake said somewhat hastily. Strake was hoping that he could talk to the old man about some things, possibly tell Zack that he wasn't a threat to him or Melody. Looks like my speach failed, or they were just ignoring because I'm a demon. So racist people are towards demons. Strake thought to himself a bit annoyed about not being able to speak through speach. Well if it didn't work atleast Zack didn't hear me.

"Why do you need to talk to the priest Strake?" Katie asked out of curiousity, she thought it was odd that Strake would need to talk to the priest since they barely met a few minutes ago.

"There's a reason why the conversation needs to be private Katie, I'm sorry. Normally I would tell you, but this is not a normal situation." Strake answered hoping that Katie would get off the subject. I wonder if it would be safe for Katie to know that I was a demon? She'd probally react the same way as Melody, except probally tell everyone, and I'd be hunted down.
