Ken snorted in laughter. "Genin, at least" he said, shaking his head.
"I'm not that good of a fighter in any real area nor am I THAT good of a ninja, I'm just a basic guy" he explained, looking across the city.

"Who knows. They are coming up soon and I may have already shown too much, sparring someone in the forest" Ken said, sighing.
"I might win, I might not. All I can say is I hope the people I go up against have some fight in them, I dont want it to be boring."

"sparring? you're really into all this fighting stuff. Well, the only advise i can give you is to not judge a book by its cover. there are alot of good shinobi out there, and if you let yuor guard down they can attack. Always take the chunin exams seriously, no matter how boring it might be to you." Mimi said slumping down, letting the breeze blow her hair.

"Not really, I'm not that big of a fighter, but I had accidentally interrupted someone's training, so I decided to make it up to them" Ken explained.
"And about that remark...It's hard to believe, this place is so peaceful...like, I wouldn't expect someone like you to lash out at me for no reason in particular"

"they may seem ordinary, and when you fight them, its just like any other ninja. But some of our best fighters hide their talent until necessary, so you never know what's up their sleeve." She said smirking.
"we lean more towards the humble side. We don't necessarily 'show off' unless we have to." Mimi laughed as she quoted the 'show off' part.

"So you mean I should keep my guard up, even around the nice looking girls, like yourself, around Konoha?" he asked casually, smirking as well.

konoha right now was very peaceful. Nothing had interupted their way of licing for a while now. It made Mimi happy, to see people not in fear.
Ryo, deciding that Mimi wasnt in the forest, ran back to the entrance, greeted by the gate guards.
"hey fellows, you havent seen Mimi around have you?" he asked then casually.
People in this village knew that Mimi and Ryo were extrememly close. if you ask if they were going out, Mimi would punch you. not like that at all. The have been best friends ever since before the academy, so it was narutal that everyone in Konoha knew how close they were.
"umm, last time i saw her, she started her rounds around the village." One of the guards said.
"oh okay, thanks" Ryo took off, back to hopping around Konoha.

Ken slid off the rock, stretching out lazily in front of it. He saw a bit of commotion down, not very far from town center.
He closed his left eye, muttered the right words, and opened it, concentrating on one running figure. He had a lot of nerve activity in a section of his brain that told Ken he was concerned.
"This person you where looking for..." Ken started, peering out of his peripheral vision at Mimi. "Would they be very concerned if they couldn't find you?"

Mimi looked at Ken weird. how in the world did her know that? she shook off her thoughts and decided to not keep Ken waiting.
"well, if you're talking about Ryo, then yea, he would be a little bit." she said thinking about it.

"My kekkai genkai lets me see the nervous system of people. I saw someone running down there and activated it quietly. His brain is showing quite a lot of activity, especially in a region dedicated to concern, fear, etc" Ken explained, watching the figure continue to run.

"Raikou Hira, KG of the Raite clan" Ken explained. "Very cool skill, and even comes with its own great taijutsu stance. If you want a good comparison, think the Byakugan of the Hyuuga clan, but with nerves instead of chakara lines" he offered, smiling slightly.

"Its only similar in how it works, otherwise its completely different" Ken said, still watching the figure run through the city. He closed his left eye and opened it after a moment, the spark gone.
"And kekkai genkai aren't all that cool, I get along with standard jutsu just fine" he added.
