She raised an eyebrow when he turned away from her. A secret? He left her stupefied for a brief moment before she realized he was running off without her. She took off in a run to catch up to him, curiosity getting the best of her. ~What is so special about sunset?~ She asked herself as she followed the flickering flame of his tail.

Red XIII lead her deeper and deeper inland, over massive fallen trees, under thickets and through a thorn bush or two but he blamed the mistake on account of him only having one eye but really he was...well he was testing her to see how much she could take before she'd turn around and go home.
In about half an hour they where close, so close you could here the rushing, pounding sound of a 6 story high water fall that came quite from from it's cliff. Red XIII slowed to a walking passe and walked through a large leaf bush that was blocking the view of what lade ahead.
On the other side Red sat facing the setting sun. It shone through the water fall and made the most beautiful rainbow in the whole island. It was so colourful it looked like it held colours never seen anywhere else. The colours where so vibrant that it looks almost solid. The area around the pool was beautiful too, lush green grass covered it all and little flower spotted it's landscape. The dusk butterfly's know only to this area where out too. Their bodies could only handle the low light that came from the early or late sun and moon light. Their wing edges glowed a vibrant blue.
He took it all in. Forgetting for a moment that he had brought someone else here with him.

Andariel followed along, wondering how he expected a lady to climb over huge logs without getting dirty. Thankfully for her she didn't mind a bit of dirt as long as she could clean off as soon as she could find convenient. She didn't make a peep however until they started through the thorn bush. The thorns jabbed at her body and she could swear someone would feel them even if they had thick fur. Through out she kept muttering little 'Ow' and hissing at the bush as if it would be scared of the sound. It made her feel a little better at least.
Her fur was a little more dull in color, the once beautiful white had turned almost cream from dirt. A few thorns stuck to her in places, mostly carried in her tail. She shot him a glare when he blamed it on his eye. Still she followed him not wanting to turn back and go through it all again. She would have to find some way around that mess to get back towards the beach.
Ears pricked when the noise she caught on to some feet back grew louder and she could finally make out what it was. It was a waterfall or she believed it was. Andariel had only seen one once before and it wasn't nearly so loud. She pressed on, cantering after him she butted the leaf out of the way letting the tip drag across her back. Stepping around him she stood in awe at the massive waterfall. She couldn't bring up any words. It would have quieted even the most talkative of the Taestysia. Her eyes danced with a happy twinkle. "Wow.."
One of the butterflies landed on her right ear making her giggle. It tickled at the tip but she did her best not to give it a flick.

The mist created from the fall started to cling to their fur and it caught the dying light in the most amazing way. Red XIII look from the breath taking fall to the female that sat beside him and was in awe by the site but it couldn't last. The sent of blood mixed with the damp smell in his nose. The thorns really did get her, she wasn't just having a go at him.
He moved closer to her and started to clean what he could on her side to faced him.

Curled her tail around her paws carefully, not wanting to drive any thorns into her limbs. Maybe it was the beautiful view and the butterflies. Or maybe it was the running thought of Red bringing her here to see it but she didn't notice the thorns actually scratched her enough to draw blood. A blue butterfly fluttered infront of her face and for once since she could barely remember she wanted to act like a kitten and give chase.
She snapped out of her thoughts feeling the grooming strokes from Red's tongue on her fur. Turning her head she looked at him, surprised but not upset in the least. It was a type of affection she didn't expect. Not from him. "I.. I'm ok.." she stuttered feeling rather flustered at this new idea. He sure was a confusing sort. Her eyes closed with a wince when a thorn would be pulled away.

"I'm sorry if this has tainted your visit here." He said after spiting a thorn he pulled from her fur into the water. "I rather hope it hasn't" He got up to his paw as he was done. A butterfly danced around his tail but he never noticed it. He was lost in thought as he stared at Andariel. She was stronger then he first gave her credit for he'd give her that but there was more to what lurked in his mind about her but he just couldn't put his paw on it.

"It hasn't. I don't think much could. It's a beautiful place." she replied giving him a warming smile. The last rays of the setting sun were making the sparkles in her hair dance.
Pulling her eyes away from him she looked herself over. She was still a mess as she tugged a few bits of brush from her fur. "I need to clean up. I promise I won't drown this time." Standing up she tested the water with a paw. It was barely luke warm. "I won't be long" at that she hopped into the water and paddled out a ways to fully submerse.

He stared off after her, words rested on her lips but never got a chance to be heard but he said them anyways if only to him self. "You look beautiful to me." He stood up and walked off to a bush by the end of the tree line. There some of the biggest, or at least the biggest he knew of, berries grew. He plucked off a large leaf of a tree next to the berry bust and placed it on the ground then started to pick only the ripest berries to place on the leaf. Once done he carefully drag the leaf back to the waters edge and waited for her.

She swam around until she was sure her coat was completely clean again. Rising to the surface she took a breath and paddled towards the shore. The water was so perfect she could see the fish swimming around. Dunking under again she chased one down, then another. Only able to carry two of the medium sized fish in her maw she broke the surface one more time then dragged herself up onto land. She smiled around the mouth full of fish and set them down. She was sopping wet but clean.
She brought the fish over to him and beamed at the sight of him with the berries. Stepping over to him she set the fish close by so as not to ruin the berries and gave Red a nuzzle. She smiled and shared the food with him until they were both full. Curls her tail around his careful of the flame at the tip. Something about this night, him and the place he brought her to made her heart flutter and emotions turn. She smiled and leaned in close whispering something into his ear. That's when she pounced him!

"What was that for?" He stared at her after the nuzzle but got nothing, shrugged and ate. Was it just him or was she acting different? He found out later just how different it was.
He awoke the next morning with a smile on his face and spring in his step. His tail curled around her and tightened, flame point away from her body of course. He slowly got up, trying not to wake her so he could bring back food for them both. He was at the edge of the tree line when he gave one last look back to the sleeping...well she looked like an angel...something in his heart felt like it got pulled by nostalgia. He shook he head to clear it of the feeling, not knowing where it came from and leap through the bushes and ran off in search for food.

Andariel woke up some time that morning with a purr. She stretched out against the ground and yawned. Licking her lips she glanced around finding herself alone. She tried to remain calm, surely he didn't just ditch her without even saying goodbye? Climbing to her feet she walked over to the water's edge for a drink, dipping her head down and lapping at the water

Red didn't go far but he did have to go away to find breakfast. He found it in the form of a struggling bunny he made quick work of and went trotting back to the waterfall. He wondered what last night was all about along his walk but wanted to know why it felt right even more. He leap over the last bush on his path back to Andariel. He dropped the food and scanned the area with his only eye.

She gave him enough time to venture back to where they slept. One paw dipped into the cool water then brushed over her head, brushing the mess from the night before so she looked more presentable. She smiled at her reflection then padded back the few feet to where she awoke, finding him there "Looking for something?" she asked in a happy tone. Stepping over she gave him an affectionate nuzzle, not yet noticing the rabbit he had

Red XIII couldn't keep the half smile from forming on his face as she came into his view. "No, I found it." He nuzzled her back, his hair bobbles jiggling from being moved around. "How did you sleep?" He asked as affectionately as his ruff voice could allow.

Andariel found herself beaming, finding even the half smile on his face comforting. "I slept very well. First time I can recall." Still close to him she licked his cheek, "Did you sleep well?" Stepping back she finally realized the scent lifting to her nose was the rabbit near their paws. Before she could ask about it, her stomach growled audibly
