As the ball rolled pass her, Tanu shot a glare over at Shisei. Since she couldn't say how much he sucked and how useless he was, she would merely send it through her looks. With a quick blow from her mouth towards her bangs, she made sure that they were out of the way so he could see her eyes fully, especially the beaming crimson. Reaching down to pick up the ball, Tanu had decided that she would follow after Kana in succeeding as a shinobi in this village, but she wasn't about to follow in his shadows blindly. Once she became a genin she would begin building a new path for herself. This path would be filled with many enemies conquered and not include a significant other that tore her from her clan. Kana hadn't paid any attention to her since she had come to the village, but she wasn't waiting on him anymore. Holding the cannonball up to her face, so that only her eyes and up could be seen from Shisei's point of view, she decided that she would live for the name of her clan in this village. Shisei would be the first person to feel the power of her path. Bringing the cannonball back over her shoulder, Tanu tried to put all her power into this throw. While stepping forward, she made sure her aim was dead center on Shisei's body. Her throw wasn't as high as they normally had been. Instead it was a little lower at his stomach.

Holding her shoulder tenderly Akiko went after the ball that fled her, that was another impressive hit. Bending down to pick up the ball the girl finally found her words that seemed to escape her as the pain entered “Good shot, I didn’t even see you throw it.” She offered her praise to her sleeveless partner as she reclaimed her spot.
Attempting to keep her shoulder as still as possible Akiko decided to try her luck at throwing underhand, it would probably be best for her sore shoulder and her arms that ache with it. "I'm throwing."
Letting her arm drop and stretch back greater then her waist, she brought it up quickly and stopped it around the same spot as when she did her throw like softball. That way felt more comfortable for now and it still did the job of going for Karite.

Naoki tilted her head when Shin threw underhanded, confused as to why he had changed. It certainly didn't impact how hard he threw the ball! It flew high up into the air, and if she didn't get out of the way she had little doubt that it would break something. However, there was a plus to it going so high: it gave her time to figure out where it was landing. She neatly stepped out of the way once she was sure where the ball was landing, not daring to try and catch it. "That was a very nice throw, Shin-san!" she said encouragingly and sincerely. "I'm lucky that I got out of the way." She gave him a shy smile, then scurried after the cannonball.

Naoki barely managed to get a grip on the single cannonball before it rolled out of her reach. If she didn't know better, she would say it was trying to stay away from her! Rolling her eyes mentally at her own foolish thoughts, she turned back around and threw the metal projectile back towards Shin. She had thrown it from a position further away from Shin, and she briefly worried about whether it would go far enough or not. Her strength was pretty pathetic, after all... Out of nervous habit, she nibbled on her lower lip again as she watched the ball arc, it no where near as high as Shin's last throw. It isn't going to hit... she thought dejectedly. I didn't throw it hard enough...

Karite was starting to get a little cocky now. He was loosening up and when he did it seemed he did a lot better all around. Seeing Akiko was struggling with her throws kind of made Karite happy but sad at the same time. It allowed him to really get fancy with his dodges but it also meant that Akiko's self esteem could be dropping. It was one more time and he was going for it. As he saw the ball flying through the air he ran at the ball one more time before hitting the beck and sliding under the ball before bouncing up into the air and landing on his feet. He smiled once more before chasing after the metal sphere.

Karite picked up a ball and rolled his neck. he had been doing good so far and he wanted to keep it that way. He just didn't want to cause to much harm to Akiko. He was having fun again and he didn't want to hurt his partner before they were done. Locking the ball between his hands he smiled once again. He would ease up a little and try to take the pain off Akiko's body. He had been pulling all the stops but one turn would not hurt him. Winding up again like last time to make it look good he let the ball fly but with a little less zip.

Even with teacher Yuki’s help Shisei still couldn’t knock the girl into oblivion. His mind was beginning to wonder just what this girl was. How long had she been at this academy? This Tanu called him bakemono-suke, but if anything the name would be more fitting for her. Not just because she was shorter either. Still if she were some type of little imp demon then Shisei would be the demon slayer and sever her existence from this realm.
Not that he could do that now. Emerald eyes were examining his behavior now. He had to show proper sportsmanship. Despite how much the little semi-male was glaring at him. Those scarlet orbs were saying a hundred words. No matter how much Shisei tried to avoid those irksome eyes, she refused to let them out his range of view. Still the serpent boy was not one to flow with the tide. He’d go against it. So as she kept her glare, his own fierce stare was also sent towards her. If her crimson moons were going to send a hundred words within them then Shisei’s amber suns would send a thousand. Words such as ‘uncivilized’, ‘uncultured’, ‘scrawny’, ‘imp’, ‘soft’, ‘rude’, ‘trash’ and of course the one that riled her up the most ‘Tanu-kun’. If he despised red then she would come to hate gold.
The next attack came again with as much ferocity as the two held for each other. Shisei managed to catch it again, but it sent a ripple of pain through his stomach and abdomen. It was probably a good thing he missed breakfast and didn’t eat any of his catch from earlier in the day. The snake child could feel his breath become slightly more rapid and his vision a little more hazed. The only thing worst than the brute in front of him was two of them, which Shisei was beginning to see. Well two, or four, or eight or a hundred. An army of Tanu’s could have been ahead of him, but he wouldn’t take a step backwards.
His voice would have liked to make a snide remark, but with the stern medical shinobi and salty sailor nearby the time would not be good for one. Instead it was time to try and get back in good graces with his superiors. “Not bad Tanu. I couldn’t dodge it, but you still need a little more power. Although with such a stern look I’m sure you’ll be able to do it soon. Such a strong person you are I’m sure we’ll become good friends soon….” the boy stated at a vocal tone for his foe, teachers and probably other students to hear. He did his best to hide the sarcasm within his tone because his gold eyes were telling the lime hair foe a different story.
“Tanu-kun you’re not living up to your self proclaimed hype. You’re not that strong you little imp.” was what his stare was telling her.

Holding the ball tightly in his stomach, Shisei just stared back at the foe. Or foes. His eyes were beginning to play tricks. His eyelids s**t for a few seconds and golden eyes returned to the world only seeing one adversary. His mind was beginning to calculate just which body part to pick off. What would be one to give him some amount of advantage? The knee again could work because if Tanu couldn’t stand, she couldn’t dodge. Or the arm. A hurt arm couldn’t throw well. Yet to pinpoint those exact body parts were not easy. A body hit would be easier, but not get the desired effects.
Remembering teacher Yuki’s words the boy would use the same ploy again. His eyes loomed a bit downward to Tanu’s stomach. Just as the antagonist went for his stomach, Shisei’s aim would appear to be there next. Both arms prepared for a swing since he would need a lot of velocity on this throw. Once lead globe left his arms it wasn’t towards her stomach. The grenade of lead target was that little round nose, between her eyes. It was an ideal target this time. His eyes had noticed the padding tearing and ripping off the steel’s hard surface. He specifically chose a part of the ball with the least amount of protection to hit her. A broken elbow or knee would be supreme. Still a shattered nose upon that red eye glaring face would be a nice second prize.

Akiko wordlessly watched as he ran at the ball again, she knew some type of stunt was about to follow after. She didn’t voice her concern this time, if he didn’t listen once there was no point in saying it again. At least he appears happier now that means whatever conflicted him before no longer had its hold on him.
The slender girl refocused as she noticed him going for the ball, she was lucky her legs didn’t twinge as much as both her arms, she smiled at that. Like later times Akiko watched the ball, this time it was winded before it was release but she noticed he held back. Easily dodging the ball she watched it roll pass her after it hit the ground. “Don’t hold back on my account.” She told her partner.

Akiko turned on her heels and swiftly walked after the ball; once she bent down to pick it up she decided that she was going to ignore all of her pain. The girl was beginning to tire like any eleven year old would after strenuous activity, this made her want to finish the assignment as soon as she could. Wiping back around, once she had the ball, she went back to her previous spot and began to prepare for her throw. Her first preparation was to block out the pain, and once she did that she was set. She moved her arm in the normal throwing motion and seconds later let it cut throw the air, the sphere resembled the spheres like when she was first starting.

Karite was kind of being random with the way he was acting, caught in the moment. He was enjoying himself and forgetting he was in class and suppose to be doing an assignment. If he was going to get this done before the end of class he should have probably took it more seriously but it did not matter to him. He came to Shimagakure for two reasons. One to find his own path and two to have all the fun his little mind could handle. He was not sure why other people were here or what this new choice would fully involve but he liked where it was going so far. While in though he heard a loud whisting noise coming from the direction Akiko was in. Looking up he noticed the ball was coming in way to fast. Not being able to move it hit Karite right in the bicep causing his entire body to spin in a full rotation. Looking at her a little dazed and in a lot of pain. "That..." Karite paused pushing down a scream of anguish. "Hurt."

Karite shook out his arm and noticed that instead of adding to the pain from the entire exercise his arm felt a lot better. Well if he could have felt it at all. his arm had gone numb in the few seconds he went chasing down the metal orb. He did not know if this was a good or bad thing but he had a feeling it was going to come in handy. Smiling he began to shake out his body and face Akiko head on. No tricks and not holding back. "My skills are perfectly honed this one you will not dodge." Karite said low and muffled under his breath. This was one little quark Karite had. when he felt had was going to do something perfectly he would mutter this little phrase under his breath. It was hard for anyone to hear but it made him just a little more confident in his own ability. As he threw the ball he closed his eyes as he heard the whistling and could see the ball fly throw the air in his mind. The was going to be a bad one for Akiko if she didn't dodge it in time.

Akiko became static as she look at Karite and the pain he was in, had she really thrown the ball that hard. As she finally moved the girl provided air to her neglected lungs she hadn’t noticed she stopped breathing. “Are you okay…” She said knowing that was a pointless question as it left her throat. She slowly began to approach the boy though she didn’t know how she could possibly help.
Akiko was walking painfully slow and she hadn’t realized that Karite was ready to go once more, she was lost in her own thoughts once again, and because of this she turned back around to return to her spot she glanced at the ball that was let go in his hand, but absentmindedly she turned around.“He might be mad at me anyway.”
As she nearly reached her previous spot Akiko turned her head and glanced back as she heard her partner utter almost inaudible words, she could barely hear them “I will not dodge…GAAH!” She impulsively yelled as her hand covered her new pain, it was surging threw the back of her shoulder blade. She slightly blushed, that was the loudest she’s ever rose her voice and it was out of character of her “Well it seems he’s feeling better.” Biting down on her bottom lip until it became as bright a ripen cherry; she hoped a new pain would reduce the one in her shoulder; she went after the ball to toss it back to the boy. He had one more hit; she hoped she wouldn’t break at the contact. Once she went back to the original spot she tossed the ball aback to him.
“Alright, don’t hold back.” That was the signal that she was ready

Taking her hand and brushing some strands of minty green hair away from her face, a victory smile played on those small shrew lips of hers as she managed to hit Shisei once again. She had come to a new goal during this little training session. With the training balls, she would knock that little bakemono down to the ground and really give Yuki-sensei a reason to be here, watching them so intently. She turned back to Shisei thinking about how his eyes were starting to resemble a little kittens more than a fierce snake now. Those eyes that were staring intently back to her before the ball was thrown were now dancing about in their sockets. It was clear that this boy was reaching his limits. How pathetic. Tanu was about to open her mouth to comment on his weak state when he opened his first. At first, the girl was utterly confused by what he began to say to her. Not bad? You need more power? Hints? Compliments? What the heck was this!? He left her guessing until the very end where he mentioned that they would become good friends. Then she understood the sarcasm in his voice. "Oh, yes! Good friends. Its amazing that you're still standing with all this training. I admire that," Tanu said, making sure her eyes were slit pretty close to near shut. She was being sarcastic as well, saying just the opposite of what she meant. 'You're weak and pathetic. Look at you hardly able to stand. You're lucky we're just training and this isn't a real fight, Bakemono-suke.' Thinking she could relax after seeing those golden orbs dance around and want to pass out, the cannonball came at her quicker than she could imagine. Since his eyes were moving about, she wasn't able to tell where he was aiming for. "Gah," she let out a small grumbled as the padded ball hit against her chin. He had really tricked her. That was probably his best throw all day and he was near collapsing! If she hadn't started to move, her nose would've been broken by nose and bleeding all over the floor.

Rubbing her chin with her hand, she tried to keep her anger in tact. It was impossible to think that the boy had made a hit on her in that type of state. No, it was because she let her guard down. Glaring at him with heated eyes, she made sure to tell him that he shouldn't get full of himself with just one little look in his direction. So, he was trying to hit her in the face and break her nose, huh? She would make sure to return that favor! "Good throw, Shisei," Tanu said with bite in her tone. The words she said were to be a compliment, but the way she said it seemed insulting almost like every other thing she said. Her teeth were grinding together in anger as she tossed the ball up and down in her hands. Her arms were starting to get sore from constantly throwing the heavy item over at the boy in an over-hand style, but that was where she got the most power. Cranking back her arm one last time, Tanu really let the ball loose in almost a straight line towards Shisei's face. She wanted to break that nose and see the crimson red of blood trickle down against the ivory white skin of his. Drawing blood on that little monster would prove satisfying as she played along with this fake niceness that Yuki had asked of them... Still Tanu chose to play along. She wanted to graduate from this academy and form a team like Kana. Tanu had heard rumors about how strong he and Aya were, but she had never seen them in action. Perhaps after school today, she would go take a peak at their training... Only after she knocked out this little brat.
