Golden eyes peered around the area and then down to the floor where a young lady was sitting, looking up at him. It took him a moment or two to realize what had happened. He hadn't realized that anyone was coming, which was not like him. He usually had sharper senses than that. Perhaps he was off a bit still from travelling back through the gate. His head had been feeling a bit fuzzy for the past few days, still wondering what all of this was about, he diverted his attention back to the girl who was now saying something to him. It took a moment to register that she was asking him for directions. Then another moment later, it dawned on him that she was asking for directions to the person that was in charge of Alchemists registering to become State Alchemists. Geez, what's going on here? It's like my mind has a fog covering it. I'm not normally this sluggish. Did she just call me short?!?!"What the hell?! Did you just call me short?! I did not do anything to you, and I am not so short you just want to step on me and squish me." Managing to cool off, and managing to keep himself from flipping out and yelling at her for him thinking that she had called him short any further, he listened for a moment, thus realizing that she was indeed talking about something else. Upon listening to her introduction, he then pointed one of his white gloved thumbs at his chest. "I am Edward Elric." A light from the wall shone off of his silver pocket watch which looked to be a bit old and scratched up. "I can take you to the place. Follow me." Frowning a bit to himself, he sighed and shrugged. I've only been back for a few days and I'm already being used as an escort to places. I guess being a 'dog' of the military can mean more than just fighting in wars. It can also mean that I'm a slave to show people around. With that, he walked off to the north, toward an open door.

He looked back around the train station, noting that not much had changed in the time he had been gone. It felt so akward being back in a place that for a few years had seemed impossible to return to. He then heard the young lady speak once more. She was saying something about him having amnesia, however, upon hearing that, he was tempted to start spazzing out once more. "No, I do not have amnesia. I remember you bumping into me and everything else in logical sequence, and I know I did not introduce myself. I do not like being called stupid. Nor do I like people insinuating that I am not capable of remembering things that happen. No less, something that happened about two seconds ago! I am not your everyday local village idiot! AND NO ONE HAS CALLED YOU SAYING THAT THEY'RE MISSING ME! Now if you will just follow me, I need to go speak to Brigadier General Mustang. It has been some time, and I am sure he has wondered about any recent going ons." With that said, Edward whipped around, his long blond braid, which was now down to his shoulder blades, followed in suit. His once vibrant red long coat, now a bit more faded and older looking. Not much had changed, however, his eyes were now much deeper, older looking, and now shone with all the sadness and pain in the world. No one could imagine what had happened, nor would anyone want to go through it.

Reina shrunk back a bit and hung her head "I am truly sorry Mr. Elric, for my rude comments." she bowed "If you'd like I will leave you be and head off on my own sir." She said with a hidden note of hurt. She just stood there with her head down and her hair drooping over her face.

Ashtoreth sighed, "Finally, I thought we'd never get here."
Looking around the general area, Reth raised an eyebrow as she saw a young girl bowing with added apologizes to a boy with golden hair and eyes.

Shaking her head she yelled, "Yo Ed! You harrassing the female population again?! Keep it up and you'll turn into Mustang!"

Many people turned to stare at the girl and her conpanion, then to the young man who was now fuming slightly.

Age: (hasn't been officially stated, so i am supposing) 26 [edit: i didn't realize that this RP was taking place 4 years after the series...in which case she would be 29 or 30 by this time... sweatdrop ]

Occupation: First Lieutenant serving under Brig. Gen. Mustang, and his self-appointed guardian

Hair: blonde, long, usually held up in a spiky bun

Eyes: brown

Height: 168cm (5'5")

Personality: you guys know this. biggrin Loyal, steadfast, hardworking and stoic, Riza is probably just the kind of person you want working beneath you... But be warned, while she may look harmless to the untrained eye, her eyes miss nothing and a gun in her steady hands could shoot you between the eyes before you had the chance to blink... Having a long history with Roy Mustang, she has taken it upon herself to ascertain his safety (and to keep him in line stare ) until he acheives his dream of becoming daisotou.





There was a soft knock at the door and Riza Hawkeye slowly poked her head into the office of her superior, waiting for his nod of acknowledgement before she stepped into the office. She clicked her heels together and snapped her arm up in a crisp salute, then slowly lowered it upon seeing the look of distraction on Roy's face.

"Tai--"

She stopped herself. His promotion had been in place for a while now...but she had gotten so used to calling him 'Taisa' that it had almost become more a term of endearment than a title to her anymore. No...he was no longer a colonel...he was a brigadier general now...and had to be addressed thus. It had been the same when he had gone from Major to Lt. Col. Mustang, and again when he was promoted to Col. She shook her head imperceptibly. No more playing around... She saluted him again, in the hopes it would make up for her slip of the tongue.

"Jya nakute... Junshou, Sir, you seem preoccupied today... Is there anything I can do for you?"

She rose onto her tiptoes and peered at him over the pile of papers, setting her hands atop one of the larger ones.

"Perhaps a cup of coffee?" she offered with a small knowing smile. He glanced at her, and she ran her hands down the side of the pile of papers, picking up half of it and lifting it off the desk. "And I'll see about distributing some of this paperwork among the other junior officers." She frowned at the mountains of work, then sighed. "The higher you go, Sir, the taller the stacks of paperwork get, it seems..."
