August reached his nose further to allow the cat called Cricket to touch him. "Cricket huh? That's cute. Oh, and I bet she loves tomplay with manes and tails. Most cats seem to. One time, one got into my pasture and did that to me. It wouldn't leave my tail alone. I snorted at it to try and get it to stop and it ended up attacking me, so I had to chase it out." He laughed at the memory. "Don't worry, I won't do that to Cricket. She seems MUCH sweeter. Oh, and I'll make sure to watch for her under my feet."
Shana yawned, covering her mouth to not be rude. "Oh, I'm so tired. All this moving here and work-out has me bushed. Is it time for bed yet, Mikuru?" Shana's eyelids were getting heavy as she stood there and she kept forcing them to stay open.

"She is, but she'll only be around when Em is away." Cricket stretched her paw out still perched on Rose's back and almost toppled over. Regaining her balance she swatted at August's nose figuring that it would be more fun to play than just touch. Rose smiled and shook her mane.
Emma smiled, she wasn't in the least but tired, well if she were to lie down she would surely fall quickly asleep.

August snorted and took a step closer to Rose to shove his nose into the cat's stomach, soft enough to not push her off, but hard enough to let her know he was playing. He blew his hot breath into the cat's fur. "Yes she's very swet...and playful" He chuckled at the cat.

"She loves playing." Rose watched with her head turned as Cricket swatted at August's nose. She used her soft paws and kept her claws hidden. "Cricket can be very smart sometimes."

August continued playing with Cricket. "Oh? How so? She seems very smart, but in what context do you mean?"

"She finds ways into barns that are completely locked up. She can open a certian type of door, though not a stall or pasture latch. Stuff like that." Rose watched Cricket over her shoulder as the cat continued her playing swatting alternatly at August's nose and Rose's mane. "She is also quite the jumper, normaly she can get to the top of a half stall door from the ground." Rose rocked her weight and Cricket flopped from side to side but remained in her spot.

"Really? Quite the amazing cat. She is smart an she sounds like a great jumper, like you." August pulled his nose away fom Cricket and lowered his head to graze.

Rose nodded and lowered her head to join August in grazing. Cricket leapt the gap between them and landed lightly on August's back. She curled up and started to fall asleep. "She likes you."

"You two may now go to your dorms and go to sleep great job evreyone" said Mikuru who walked to Starlight and gave him his usual good night kiss and went to bed."Good night Mikuru see ya tommarow morning" said Starlight who started to walk toward the shed and went to sleep.

August lifted his head and swiveled it to see Cricket on his back. He chuckled and gently nuzzled the cat and then lowerd his head to continue grazing. "I like her too. She's very sweet."
Shana sighed in relief at Mikuru's words. "Finally...well, see you in the morning Emma." She walked over to the pasture gate and whistled for August.
August lifted his head at the sound of Shana. "I'll be right back, Rose." He nudged Cricket to wake her up, then pushed her back towards Rose. Once she was off, he began limp-trotting toward the fence. When he reached it and saw Shana, he lowered his head to her shoulder and nickered into her ear. "Hello."
Shana stroked her stallion's face as he rested on her shoulder. She turned her head and kissed him on the cheek. "Goodnight, August. I'll see you in the morning, alright boy?" She gently pushed him off her and began walking toward her dorm.
August followed Shana along the fence for as long as fence allowed him to. "Goodnight, Shana." He said when he could follow no longer. He whinnied his goodnight, then turned and walked back to Rose, allowing Cricket onto his back once more. He turned and put his head on Rose's bac, resting it there as she had done to him earlier. "Mind of I doze here 'till you move?" August asked her sleepily.

Emma followed after Shana, and seeing August half-asleep on Rose's back she hopped the fence and went over to her. "Good night Rose, my love." She picked up Cricket from August's back and patted him. Then turning one last time to Rose she kissed the mare and went back to the fence, jumping it and walking to the dorms.
Rose lifted her head but didn't move to the fence. When she saw Emma she didn't even walk towards the fence. She nickered to Emma and nuzzled her. "Night Em." She watched Emma walk off and turned to August. "Rest there all you want. I don't mind in the least."

Collin dozed halfway to the boarding school. He woke with a start when the truck stopped. Putting on his sun glasses he hopped out. Grabbing his bags he looked around. His horse nickered from inside the trailer.

Mikuru heard a truck pull up. She decided to go check it out. She saw a boy "Hello are you a new student here?" said Mikuru while walking up to the trailer.

Hearing a strange nicker Rose raised her head and trotted over to the fence, leaving the half-asleep August. She trotted over to the fence standing as close as she could to see the trailer. She neighed, calling to the horse inside the trailer. She had always loved meeting new horses and wasn't in the least but shy. Standing with her ears pricked forward and head up she nickered wanting to see this new horse.
Emma heard Rose's neigh and didn't look back untill the mare nickered excitedly. The sudden change from calm to excited made her wander if something had happened and she turned around and went back to the pasture. Her gaze went first to the other horses and finding them uninjured she looked at Rose, who was impatiently standing at the edge of the pasture. She went to the mare, "Rose, calm down there." She tried to pat her muzzle but Rose only pulled away, keeping her eyes on the trailer.

August jumped up, wide awake at the sound of a unfamiliar whinny. He trotted to the gate and stood calmly beside Rose, ears pricked forward. Amused by her enthusiastic behavior, he chuckled at her. "Someone's a bit excited..." He then looked off in the way Shana was walking toward her dorm and whinnied loudly for her to hurry back.
Shana stopped dead and whipped around at the sound of August's neigh. She broke into a run, heading back to the pasture. She slowed to a walk and approached her stallion. "Hey, August, what's wrong?" She then noticed a new rider, a boy, standing next to his trailer. "Oh, I new rider? Cool!" She waited with her horse, leaning against the fence and crossing her legs. She turned toward Emma. "Did Rose alert you too?"
August stood, sniffing the air that was now full of this new horse, trying to figure out if he was a possible threat to him or not. Domestic or not, he was still a stallion with stallion instincts. He would not hesitate to protect either Shana or Rose. He side-stepped closer to Rose automatically and stood tall, arching his neck, and pawing at the ground.
