"No, it's gone, they just want to talk to me," she said, waving a hand lightly in his direction. "I just have to interpret what they want to say." Of course, no one knew who 'they' were, and most were a little shocked by her sporadic personality, not used to an elf being quite as...not calm.

"So you'll be alright?" asked Mirri. "In that case, we need to catch up to Octavian. Come on KC, Winston." Mirri and Winston ran off towards the elf city.

KC gave Sequoia an odd look before dashing off to catch the rest. The connection was a wonderful yet dangerous thing to have, but it seem especially strong in her. I hope she's ok... If it's that bad for a couple of walkers, what's gonna happen when really bad things start happening?

Sequoia didn't say anything, just climbed up a tree so fast you couldn't see which movements she made. She disappeared into the darkness of the foliage, listening to the tree silently. "They're hurting your sisters..." she muttered, and an angry expression came over her face. She let out a dangerous growl and spun around, taking off at a sprint from the limb and landing neatly on the roof of a near building on one of the outer edges, an older, smaller building. She viewed the rim of the city with her keen eyes, spotting the group not far off just at the edge. A growl tore out from her throat and she took off at a bound, sprinting over the tops of the low buildings to their place. She sprang off the top of the building, tackling the nearest one of the group and had her dagger at their throat in an instant. "Are you who attacks my forest?!" she snapped, her eyes dangerous. She sent an angry look at Octavian. "Do you plan to attack my people?!"

Octavian swung around, dodging Sequoia's tackle. The others who had just caught up stared in shock, yet none drew their weapons. Octavian looked down at Sequoia, a bit annoyed. His dragon pride flared at that baseless accusation. "Why would we attack you?" asked Octavian calmly. "I have friends who are elves, I even lived here for a bit. We are in fact going to the leader to ask how we can help, and to give him any back-up he needs. Mirri, got tell the leader, you too guys." He tossed a signet ring to Mirri. "Show the council that, so they knows it is from me. "KC stay with me. I'll explain to this elf our situation."

Mirri and his group ran off towards the capital building. As they ran they got dirty and suspicious looks from elves. Guards stopped them at the Council chamber. "You can't enter strangers." said one guard, ready to unsheathe his sword. Mirri breathlessly said, "Walkers are attacking, my leader told me to talk to them and offer help." She pushed back through them and entered the council chambers. The elders sitting around the table stared in disbelief as the 3 humans and the panther katzen entered. Mirri bowed, and her group followed suit. "Honorable sirs, Walkers are attacking, and my leader offers his help and assistance, in exchange for a place to stay. He told me to show you this. She handed the ring to an elder. The elder gasped at the Dragon Signet he held.

Each dragon owned a unique dragon signet made of a scale from when they were born. The older the ring, the older the dragon. This one was a black, not shiny metal, which was oddly heavy. It had the usual engraving of a dragon biting it's own tail, that all Dragon Signets had.

Octavian watched them run off. "Listen, why would a trader attack a city, or even help attack one. I would make less money, and lose hundreds of customers. Besides, I wouldn't attack just a beautiful place. If I did, I would do it without destroying the trees as the walkers are." said Octavian calmly, looking down at Sequoia. "By the way, what is your name? I'm Octavian, and this is KC."

"Sequoia," she replied, sheathing the knife with a quick motion into a sheath on the back of the belt on her dark green capris. "Who is attacking, and why? Gaia does nothing to others." She ground her teeth with rage, and the feeling of the angry earth beneath her feet yanked at her. "They hurt," she said softly, looking out a the trees.

"I know they hurt." replied Octavian looking up at the dark thunderclouds in the distant. He sarcastically and jokingly said, "Whoever is attacking Gaia, obviously would profit from not having Gaia exist. They know how strong the elves are, and they want to wipe you out now before you take an interest elsewhere." he wasn't saying what he thought was happening.

The vox on the walkers cackled, "The elves are numerous enough to be a threat. destroy gaia, and retrieve the items stashed in the old city vaults. We can't let the elves discover the treasure trove they've sworn to protect, yet forgotten. Consider them class 2 threats, any airships you find, bring them to me. the crew shoyuld be considered a class 1. Luckily the elves aren't tough enough to handle half the wlkers we're sending."

---

Sek growled, they were onto the lightning now, and had shields. Sek always hated Eden's alliance with Pandora, since walkers alone were tough, but shielded walkers were near invincible. If these walkers, small and weak as they were, reached Gaia, they could kiss the city goodbye. Eden shielding was magic and energy-proof. nothing short of a dragon's attack could take one down (minus the fire.)

Octavian let his mind's eye wander as the elders were sending out troops, and citizens were hurried away. The 3 remained for now. Octavian closed his eyes and could see the shielded walkers crash through the forest. He calmed down the anger that welled up. He just got a brilliant idea. 'Boy am I smart' he thought, the dragon pride replacing the anger from before. He contacted Mirri, 'Tell the elders to build an Incantation circle. Tell them to use a 6 pointed earth seal.'

"Activate primary cloaking, they're getting too close." sek said, "and I'm going to drop. Pandora isn't the only group with mechs!"

Sequoia growled, suddenly turning on her heel and sprinting in Gaia. She went straight to one of the old storage rooms that no one really knew about but her. She dug through piles of old junk, finding what she needed. She stowed various weapons on her hips, back, and along her arms and legs in sheaths. She sprinted back out from the storage room, along the tops of old buildings with extreme grace and accuracy. She sprang from the top of a building into a tall tree, standing tall on the limb and viewing around her. She wore no armor, but she looked exceedingly dangerous. Two swords hung criss-crossed on her back, another short sword at her hip. She had various knives, for throwing and slicing. She also had a pack of small throwing stars she'd found, attached to her belt at the back. A snarl let out of her throat and she disappeared into the foliage, racing forward through the forest towards those attacking.

The mechs stomped forward, crushing trees with their metal legs and churning out black smoke from the vents. pilots in soulless helmets gazed around as they crushed a path to the elven city. They were about a mile away now.

Sequoia stopped just before the oncoming group of walkers. She crouched down on a tree branch, reaching into her back pocket and grabbing a pair of throwing knives. She shot the first out with expertise, smashing the glass to one of the walkers' cockpits. She let loose the second, and it spun out, hitting its mark right on in the weak point of the man's slight armor, just at his neck. She sprang off from the tree, landing in the cockpit before the walker started to fall, grabbing both her knives and jumping back out, disappearing into the foliage again.

It was clear that the other walkers were now angry, as they fired salvos of rockets into the forest, eliminating hundreds of trees.

Nelash screamed in utter agony, the death cries of hundreds of trees finding a way into his voice.

As the walkers continued through the forest, four patches of moving foliage came up along side the last one. The patches kept pace easily with the walkers. Something shot from one side of the walker, to the other. The walker caught it's leg on something, and fell forward. It hit the ground with a thud, causing the some of the other walkers to turn and look. The legs of those that stopped beeped three times, then exploded, causing the cabins to fall down, immobilized. A bald man seemed to emerge from the scenery as he pulled off his hood. He was holding in his hand, a flattish foot long rectangle. On the two largest sides were a white letter and number. The man said, "I love C4." with a smile, face aglow with the wreckage. When he said this, 3 other people took off their hoods. They all smiled. '4 down,' thought the man, as he and his team mates put their hoods back on, and went to kill more walkers.

"KC, I want you to go help get people somewhere safe, and most notably, away from the city walls." commanded Octavian, "I need to be elsewhere." He heard '4 down' in his mind. 'Good work' he replied as he walked towards the place where the seal was being prepared. No one noticed as he entered a nondescript building. He went down a set of stairs to the basement. In the center was a spiral stair case going into the earth. Near the walls, were two robed, elven guards, eyes down to avoid looking at the human form of the dragon.

To make sure it was him, there stood Mirri. "It's good to see you, sir." she said. She handed Octavian a brown robe. He slipped it on and silently went down the spiral stairs. He reached the bottom and went down the corridor. He exited the corridor and entered a large cavern. He could hear a stream, the trickle of water, and chilling breeze. Light was produced by braziers spaced evenly around the cavern. In the center of the cavern stood 5 elves in robes, one at each point, except for one empty one. Octavian took his place and said, in a deep, ominous voice, "Let us begin." Octavian's eyes glowed as he began the chant. The others soon followed as the circle beneath their feet began to glow green.
