Violet was startled by his sudden flash of anger, but hen he was gone. He must have thought i was the one who assassinated her. Little does he know that i was forced to stay there for has long as i did. She sighed and left to go back to the castle, yet again.

Journey wandered through the gates of the arena looking around. No one else except for her and Talia seemed to be here. She was kinda glad in a way. They could have the whole arena to themselves and practice. Journey had no intention of hurting anyone so she was studying to be a white mage. Talia on the other hand was becoming a black mage. She then turned to hug her friend. "We made it Talia!" she said happily in her friends ear.

Talia turned to Journey at the same time Journey had turned to her. "Yes, yes we did." She smiled and hugged her friend back. Then she squealed and jumped up and down as she realized that this meant that they could start training now. "I can't believe that this is actually happening!"

Journey smiled a quickly added, "and without the parents finding out!" She let go of her friend and ran to the middle of the arena and stopped. She smiled and closed her eyes while letting swirls of magic collect around her. She then arched her arm up over her head and then straight out in front of her pointing it at Talia. She then released the magic and it left her in a concentrated beam hitting a bench that was next to her friend. The bench then grew many flowers and grass all over it. She opened her eyes and giggled at what she had done. "I guess i need to practice that."

Cairo arrived at the arena the next day. He traveled all night, and made it back to where he belong. The Arena. Other than the actual Fire Nation, the Arena was his home. As he went through one of the many side-gates, he saw that there was two younger girls in there, and thent here was a bench full of flowers. Great... children wielding magic... even better, Earth Children wielding Magic... He just ended up taking one of the many stairs to the stands, and watched what was going on, so he wasn't accidently flowerfied.

Dusk walked in and looked around at the grand arena. She heard the voices of two others and peeked over. She almost let out an audible gasp at the sight. The Princess was here, where were her parents? They probobly didn't know. Why was her friend? A part of her said 'who cares' and she had to agree. Even if she was of her nation, Dusk didn't show any real consern on why she was there, because she didn't care. Turning her head she saw Cairo, she remembered him from the last time she had come ot the Arena. "Enjoying the view? You look like you're about gag from all the scent their flowers are creating."

Cairo sighed, "The aroma around here smells tempered with now, and wants to make me gag... you would have a pint of ale on you to clear out my senses would ya Bar-keep?" He looked at the flowers, "Their colors make me want to turn them all black and crispy. By the way, never got your name..."

"Since I am not one for formalities, you may just call me Dusk. Could you tell me your name? We have never been properly introduced as of yet." Walking over she flopped down beside him and took out a small vial from her side pouch. "I always keep some with me, not for myself. But mainly for those who get hurt in the tavern. Then they don't feel as much." Handing it to him she sighed and looked at the surrondings. "I don't mind it too much, it reminds me of a home I could've had. It's nice."

Talia laughed as her friend made the flowers appear. Should probably start out small she thought to herself. So she turned in a random direction and made some flowers of her own appear. Then she smiled and looked back at Journey. She noticed that some guy was standing a little ways away but decided not to pay attention to him. A few moments later she also noticed that a girl came and stood next to the guy. Again she decided to pay them no mind. No matter, if they were going to attack, they probably would have done it by now.

Cairo nodded, and took the vial, "My name is Cairo." He took of whiff of the vial, and it made everything a bit better. He replugged it. "Thanks. And really?" He looked at the flowers, "We don't have flowers that grow like that. I used to live in the mountains. The only things that grow there are sturdy trees, and sticky shrubs. You might see a dandilion, but those are weeds anyways. It's too volcanic where I was raised. Nothing could grow under the clouds of ash and sulfer above." He leaned back, and looked at the sky. "I'm still amazed by how many stars are realy up there..."

Journey ignored they others as they came and sat down in the arena. She was having fun and she didn't want anything to spoil it. She then yelled up to Talia, "You going to come down here or just watch!?"

Cairo had a small smile on his face, "I'm going to watch, because when I'm down in the arena, the opponent doesn't come out. As well as, your flowers might not be there once I go down." He stood up though, "If you really want to see the flowers wilt and burn, then I'll come down." He pointed to one of the closer flowers, a nice white lily, and it suddenly combusted, and burned to ash. Amazingly, it didn't catch any of the flowers around it. "Want to see all the flowers do that?" He inquired.

"Killing a flower doesn't really prove anything other than you can kill a flower." She said quietly and thoughtfully. "The Earth kingdom is beautiful with them. However, they're not in this sort of overdose." She placed a hand on the ground and all the flowers in their vicinity were pulled underground. She looked at the girl, the princess with mild concern. If something were to happen to her she may turn the nation against fire. Lucky us. She laughed on the inside, and leaned back yawning on the out.

"Ah, but that is where you are wrong Dusk. It's not just killing a flower, but it shows control. I combusted a flower. Which sent smolders everywhich direction. Why didn't the others catch on fire? I suppressed it. I have control over my element... besides, if I wanted, the whole arena could be on flames..." He sat back down

"And if I wanted, the whole arena would be swallowed by the ground in an earthquake." She said with a smile of mischief. "Being able to control ones element well isn't all that impressive when your whole nation is known for it. However, being able to display ones profession well is another thing. A thing that others like myself may be impressed over. Tell me, what do you do for a living?"
