Aiku had been out of town on business for the past two weeks. "God damn, I'm so sick of Australia," he moaned as he booted open the door to his cozy studio in New York City, right in the center, overlooking a little nearby park. His place wasn't by any means NICE, but it was his, and he had no depts on it, and could always get his rent paid some way or another. Whether that pay was in actual cash or some kind of wood-work. He had done a lot of that for his place anyways.

Walking over to his phone and listening to all the myriad of messages, he closed his eyes, jet-lagged and bored out of his mind. His studio was as messy as he'd left it; there was wood shavings everywhere, and his work bench was still covered in sawdust, his equipment was scattered around the place, but his bedroom was immpeccably clean. Not a particle of that sawdust found its way into there. Suddenly, a message about a movie exploded into his head from the phone's speaker. "Eh?" he replayed it, then blinked a few times, a little surprised. He was reknowned for his ability to work with wood, along with doing ice sculptures and even sugar sculptures, as well as being able to paint and decorate them, but he usually did free-lance work. Should he go ahead and take a long-term job? There was a lot of commitment there, but then again, Aiku never messed up in things like jobs and paying rent. Relationships were a different story. He hadn't been in a long-term relationship since he was 16, and even then, it'd only lasted for about a year, and it'd only been once. His parents had made him break it off because it'd been with another boy. ******** they weren't going so great anyways....

Shaking off his rather morbid memories, he once again listened to the message, then considered the situation. Doing free-lance work, he made sums of money that poured in at once. Doing a long-term job, he'd make a larger sum of money, but over a period of time. So far, he was considering the job. He wondered to himself if he'd have to move into that complex that was mentioned. He couldn't, anyways, because that would interfere with his current free-lancing. His equipment made too much noise. His current place of inhabition was rather deserted, partially because the whole building was so, well, run-down. That's why he did so much work around there. But it worked out well for him. No one complained. Plus, he was near a park, so he could go running whenever he wanted. There was also more than a few good resteraunts nearby. He didn't want to move at all. So, if in order to get the job he HAD to move, it was a 'no'. As to the actual work he'd be doing... they liked the way he looked, and wanted to audition him for one of the intermediate roles. They also knew that he could sing. How, he wasn't sure, but they did. He sighed heavily. He didn't really enjoy singing, especially not in front of people. However, this role didn't have much singing; only two songs or so. Most of it was just talking, and talking was okay. They also wanted him to design and build their sets-- ALL of them-- and by himself. That was a helluva lot of work. A sly smile spread across his face. "I love challenges!" he yelled out loud, throwing his arms up and spinning in his swivel chair. Laughing a little, he sighed again, and his smile abruptly vanished and his laughter evaporated. "Screw this, I'm going to bed. I'll decide in the morning." Pausing as he stood, he mumbled to himself, "Or whenever I wake up, seeing as it'll more likely be mid-day...." Stumbling into his bathroom, he threw off his clothes, into a little hamper he had in there. His bathroom was as clean as his bedroom, not counting the scent of wood hanging in the air mixed with soap and shampoo. His thin, muscular physique was soon nice and clean, and he ran into his room, dive-bombed his head, and was instantly asleep. His muscles were taut with exaustion; he'd been doing a lot of work in Australia. He was one thing to sculptury, and one thing only: devoted. Which was probably why he'd been chosen to build the sets. Apparently, they'd only hired famous or very skilled people. Woohoo, hopefully they weren't too full of themselves....

When he woke up, it was indeed mid-day. (everyone's getting lunch at this point, i think?) He ruffled his hair and made his way to the phone, feeling his stomach giving low grumbles of protest at motion. "nehh... mmg..." he mumbled, rubbing his face as he picked up the phone and dialed the number he'd written down for Miss Yama or whatever. She'd said that he could call her that...

"Hello?" her voice echoed out of his phone. "Yo. Aiku here. I've been in Australia. Sorry," his voice sounded as tired as he felt, and she replied rather coldly, "I am aware. It's a good thing you have talent, or else you would've been dropped on the spot." "Oh, wow, I feel so welcomed, thanks so much!" his voice dripped with sarcasm. "So, I've got some questions for you, 'Yama'. Is it required that I move into the other apartment?" "I have no doubts you will enjoy it," she stated, rather surprised. "It is a wonderous building with high-class rooms." "Yeah, yeah, I know. It's the s**t. But it's not a place for a loud guy like me. I'd wake everyone up... I work at night, see. I'm nocturnal. And my equipment isn't quiet. So... Do I?" "I see. No, you do not. Please begin working as soon as you are able. Today would be the perferable time. You may come late. ...Today. Goodbye." With that, she hung up, and he clapped down the phone in somewhat annoyance. "God damn, what a b***h!" he glared at his professionally-painted wall for a while, then shrugged and went and ate. Maybe I won't go today, just to piss her off. He downed a bowl of Lucky Charms, then changed his mind as his mood improved. Nahhh, I'll go make some wild, dramatic entrance. Hehe, burst in and be all, "HEEEY, let's go eat sausage." Or something. No, that's rather retarded. Whatever, I'll just be boring. He had a second bowl, then washed it and left his kitchen and got ready for the day. He pulled on a pair of emo tight black pants with safety pins going down the left leg's quadral area, and put on two stud belts, one through the belt loops and the other hanging loosely around his hips. Over his torso, he pulled on a medium-gray shirt that had a cool looking white skull right on the chest of it with some weird white swivel design things going around it. The shirt really defined his muscles, for some reason. It had X-stiching down across the stomach area going in a curve from the lower left pectoral muscle across to his mid abdominal area on the right side of his torso. Over his messy blonde hair, he pulled a black beanie on, which he intended on removing once he reached his destination. "I'm off!!" he called out into his studio in a similar manner that a father might yell out to his little toddlers before going to work that day. Except in Aiku's case, he was calling out bye-bye to his babies... or, better put, his sculptures. Darting down the stairs, he gave a yell of exhilleration and sprinted and jogged, in intervals, all the way to work, which was about a mile away. Great excersize. He'd kept in shape on the Australian terrain. It'd been fun. Reaching the building, he stared at the black gates facing him, and yelled, "LET ME IN!" A voice asked him who he was, and he replied in a rather dead voice, "Aiku. Who the hell else?" The gates swung open with a rather annoyed grunt from the voice, and he walked inside. While any normal person might have broken a sweat in a workout like that or at least smelled a bit like body odor, Aiku did not. Australia had been much hotter; he couldn't have sweated if he'd wanted to here in New York's cold air.

"Hey." he said calmly, in a very controlled voice. "I'm Aiku." He looked so very cool, standing there, gazing off towards the workspaces with an indifferent expression on, until he actually looked around. Stamping his foot in annoyance, he growled, "Dammit! Where the hell IS everyone?!" upon realizing that no one was actually there. They'd all gone to get lunch... *a tear is shed for poor Aiku*. Sighing, he walked over to a large area that had a ton of really nice wood piled around and had his name plated nearby. Then, he heard a heart-wrenching sob from off in the corner, followed by an aggravated voice saying to shut up already. Glancing around, Aiku spotted Kai and Sam, currently strangers to him. "Whoa, there's life here?"

((wow, this is a hella long post O_o))

In the middle of attempting to fend off his editor, Tai heard another voice, and looked around, half bent over, his arms out in a defensive pose as Sam tried to hug him all over, or whatever else he was doing. The guy was a nut, that's all anyone really needed to know. Staring, he said...."Aiku?" Sam perked up at that name, listening. "Wow, even a famous guy like you is here....Your work is great." Tai said in disbelief that he was still actually there.

Hikaru entered the studio again, he had quickly eaten and told Koichi that there was one more thing he really needed to work on today. When he walked in he saw a man who Kai had just called "Aiku" and also noticed there was a, slightly overbearing man, who seemed to be trying to hug kai. "Ummmm, kai, hey, the musics on your desk and, if you dont mind me asking, why is there a man trying to hug/strangle you?" as he said this, Hikaru walked over to Aiku. "Oh! you must be Aiku, the sculptor!" He said with a smile " Nice to meet you! I'm Hikaru, i handle the music kai's writing the lyrics for with my boyfriend." he said all of it while glancing over at the man trying to hug/strangle kai...

He gave a friendly smile to Kai as he said in a humored voice, "Thanks, you're pretty famous yourself, you know. And I'm not THAT famous. D'you want some help with that?" he motioned towards Sam as he said this. Jumping a little when Hikaru appeared, he turned his attention temporarily away from Kai to reply to him, "Yep, the one and only. Where's the chick in charge of everything? I wanted to talk to her a little." his eyes had wandered back over and were now lingering on the sobbing Sam. "Is that guy always here?" he asked, rather aggitated, signalling towards him. "Not Kai, naturally," he added, just to eliminate any confusion. "'Cause... If we have to work with him sobbing like that, it's gonna get reeeaally annoying...." he stretched his arms up and then folded them behind his head as he stood there examining him with his inquisitive eyes.

Peter sighed, heaving his camera equipment into the building. He'd been given his own room to work, along with a red room, which made him squee with delight once he'd arrived. The man had bee told to arrive around noon to start his film training, as he'd not worked much in cinematography, though he was excellent at it none the less.

Peter glanced up at four men standing around talking. One was fending off another who looked like he was about to attack him with sunshine and puppies. Another one was talking to the last one, who just happened to e the most gorgeous man Peter had ever seen.

Being the shy kid he was, he blushed and kept walking to his room, to drop off his equipment.

ack!! sorry!! ...i fixed it...><'''))

"Hmm?" The first thing he noticed about Peter was his equipment. A photographer... nice. "Hey," he said casually. "Nice to meet you." Since Kai seemed to be searching for a response still to his previous questions, he decided to let him ponder for a bit and introduce himself. "Like he said, I'm Aiku."

"Nice to meet you," Peter responded shyly, setting his stuff on the floor for a moment, "You're the famous sculptor right? Your work is very beautiful," the man commented, straining to keep his thoughts PG.

Or PG-13....

Not answering Aiku's question, Kai managed to get out of Sam's grip. While everyone else was talking, he pointed a skeletal finger to the door. "Out." He said flatly. Sam looked at him with puppy-eyes. "Disgusting." Kai said flatly. Sam sighed. "I'll wait at your apartment." "I got a new one that's closer to the movie shoot." Kai said. "Well....I'll call you." "...Yeah." Kai said a bit slower. Sam trudged out and shut the door behind him. Sighing again, Kai started to leave. He needed to write the lyrics......

Hikaru ran to the door after seeing the man walk out, and yelled "Hey, you better not come in here without being personnel AGAIN!" Hikaru turned around to face Kai. "Are you okay??" he said, concerned for his younger friend. As he waited for a reply, Hikaru saw someone checking their new co-worker Aiku out....

Catching Hikaru's gaze, Peter blushed and quickly looked away from all the men that were left. Feeling very uncomfortable, he said, "I-I should be going now. I have to get to a training thing for a camera thing... For the uh - you know... Movie thing..." he mumbled the last bit, his voice trailing off, as he picked up his equiptment.
