depends on how close you are. If you stand back its warm...the closer you get (obviously) it'll get hotter

However if you just standing by one of the streams, not close to where its comming out you can stand pretty close

Hrmm. Still...I wouldn't want to be one of those people who are surprised in the middle of the night and have to run for their lives from a flow of molten lava only to be suffocated by ash and frozen forever as ash statues....

Oh! Whats that geiser thing in Yellowstone park about? I've always seen it on cartoons/commercials..but I don't really get it...is it just a natural hot spring on a large scale? or what?

I think you mean Old Faithful, the one that erupts like clockwork and yes it is a Geyser
