"Warn them?" Ilia turned and looked down at the snake, putting her hands on her hips and frowning that little pout she'd picked up off her mother. "Why would we need to warn them? They should be very happy to see us! Especially considering why we're looking for them. It's not as if I'm going to attack them!" The little android got agitated and waved her hands in the air. But, she sighed, Yaone was the adult. Sort of. So she should do as she said.
With an indignant huff she sat down on a large rock and folded her arms across her chest, upset that she wouldn't get to be the one to find them. It was ever so fun sneaking up on the birdy boys and jumping out at them. Uncle Jack always screamed and laughed.
"Fine." She muttered, letting the snake slither away to do her task and leave the little robot oblivious to why she wasn't allowed to go find them just now.
She would sit and wait, but she wasn't going to leave the clothes. A little of her instincts remained and she folded them neatly into a pile at her feet.

Yaone's eye glanced back, even if her head didn't turn to look at Ilia and then continued on winding herself around a tree to hand in it's branches moving along into the little glade the two were in.
She hissed an invitation. -The Lord and Lady Ssshinigami request your presenssse to witnesss their newborn son Aldric. Bessst clean up before you show yourselvessss. Oh.. and Ilia isss waiting by your clothesss.- she almost snickered.
With that said she returned to the little bot's side. Slithering around her, curling around her shoulders and hanging big on her form. Remembering when her mistress was only so big when they first met. Although the weapon had only recently been able to take on this form due to Kaori's strange magic. She was surprised that Kaori spared her from returning to her original form and left her ale to roam. But if she was going to be useful to her mistress perhaps this was the best way.
She didn't say a word to Ilia, just hung there on her lazily.
After a short while it was Raven in his boxers that came out to Ilia and ruffled her hair softly. "Hey kiddo." he smiled at her warmly, "Might I take just... these..?" he picked up Jack's boxers with a smirk.
He hoped Jack wouldn't have the gall to come out for them.
He looked ... grungy like he'd been rolling around in dirt and there were pieces of moss stuck to his skin.
"We're going to have to clean up a bit..." he chuckled turned "Hang on a minute Ilia, we'll be right with you." and already started back to the glade to give Jack his boxers.

Ilia watched her go and swung her legs off the edge of the rock. She waited patiently. Though she was way too eager to get back to her parents and new baby brother. She wanted to storm into the trees and drag her uncles back with her. But she had the feeling something was going on here and she would have to simply wait.
Before too long the snake returned and made herself comfortable around her shoulders. The little bot hugged her coils lightly and wondered what was taking the men so long. When Raven appeared she looked up, ready to berate him. She stared at his boxer shorts.
What on earth had they been up to?!
She smiled up at him anyway when she got a little affectionate ruffle. He retrieved Jack's own underwear and turned to head back to the trees. He looked really messy.
"Hurry up! We gotta go!" She complained with a giggle. When he vanished from sight she turned to Yaone. "Have they been play fighting or something? Uncle Raven's all dirty. And sweaty. I bet they did something silly." She wrinkled up her nose.
Jack almost did follow Raven right out of the trees. And would have if he hadn't been so slow and giddy at the moment. Nothing could wipe the smile off his face. Raven wasn't the only filthy one at that moment. There was moss in his hair, matching the colour of his eyes.
Raven returned to him with some clothing and he reached out to him, greeting him with a small kiss. He looked down at the clothing he'd brought and pouted as if he didn't want to wear them. He didn't really, but he supposed he could hardly go out without them.
"Did Yaone really say what I thought she said? I didn't think it would be so... sudden." He spoke as she hopped around, slipping into the cotton and making himself at least semi-decent.
Guyy meanwhile lay with his family. Cloudchaser's ears pricked up silently. He hadn't missed what had caused it despite having his back to it.
"Mother." He greeted with a smile.
"Can't hide from you even if I want to." She giggled, meeting his gaze when he looked over his shoulder at her. "I came to see my grandson."
"You're welcome to. Here." He nodded, sitting up and tugging back the corner of the blanket so she could see him lying chest to chest with his mother, both sleeping deeply. He really was adorable. She smiled down at him serenely, rainbow eyes dancing.
"And how's mum doing?" she sighed, glancing to Kaori. He knew she knew fine well how she was doing. Probably in more detail than he did. Guyy glanced at Cloudchaser. He nodded and took the silent hint.
"I must retrieve my staff. Excuse me." he stood and bowed, slowly walking to the waterfall to pull his staff back out of the ground and give the pair some privacy.
"What happened? She shouldn't have used up so much energy. I felt her... I felt her repair something." He looked up at Gaia searchingly. The beautiful woman sighed gently and sat beside him on the edge of the swinging bed.
"There was a complication. It was nothing that could be prevented. Your physiology and hers... they simply aren't compatible. I did what I could, when I could. And her own talents sustained the child to term." She explained gently. "It was fortunate she had taken as much energy as she did. And that you took such care of her, you kept her strong."
"I... Could it have killed her?" He asked, looking down at his hands. The goddess nodded slowly.
"If she had been in the form she is now, certainly."
He considered this carefully. She almost died because of him, because of a slip-up when she had been human many months ago. And he would have been responsible for her death. Not that he would trade his son for anything in the world now that they had him.
"I know you intervened to make me able to give her a son. I want you to undo what you did." He said finally, gazing down at her. If he lost her... it could happen again. And next time, what if the birth fell on one of her human days, or if Yaone hadn't fed enough?
"When she is in her half demon form she can prevent conception accidentally. Sterilising you would not be necessary."
"But she's not always half demon! Last time... she was human. And I can't avoid her just because she's human. Not forever." He sighed. He loved her in every form.
Gaia said nothing. She just looked at him. She could sense his sincerity. He wanted to protect her above anything else. And he would sacrifice future children for that if he had to. She said nothing to him, as was often the way she dealt with things. She was thinking.
"I brought my grandson a gift." she held up a white bundle. A carefully knitted baby blanket of softest wool, decorated with a few blue silk ribbons. Cloudchaser would have recognised it as the very same blanket he had sheltered under in the Calm Lands. "It will soothe him when he needs it, and keep him warm. And right now, I do believe it will give the pair of them a little energy boost." She smiled, unfolding it and spreading it across Kaori and her child, tucking it around them gently.

-To ssspare you from sssuch indecencsssy after the sshocking birth you witnesssed, isss a ssmall kindnesss.- the snake retorted to the girl, -And sssparess them asss well.-
"Hn.. probably due to her half demon heritage." The blond mused as he smiled softly at Jack. "Or.. her gift of healing.. she probably used that as much as possible to speed the foetal growth." It was surprising even to him, even considering what the times must have been like when she was kid, things were very different, she never talked about those times much. Not even with him, she lived in the present as much as she could.
Maybe it was time to ask her about things of old. Privately. He frowned slightly in thought for a moment and seemed to mentally shake himself from it as he looked up. "Oh Ilia says to hurry up." a smirk tugged at the corner of his lips as he walked back out of the glade, "Race you to the water!" he laughed.
Moments after the soothing blanket was draped over them, did golden hair begin to slowly lighten, paling in colour to platinum and silver before becoming well and truly snow white once again over several minutes. And still the woman slept peacefully, unaware to what was being said, otherwise she would have protested.

"Indecency?" Ilia blinked, looking down at the snake. Then her eyes went wide. She covered her shocked mouth with her hands. "You mean they were... Jack and Raven were doing... you know, that stuff?" She gasped. Daddy had explained how her brother was made of course, but she could still barely believe anyone actually ever did that. "Ew! Oh, how could they? Now I'm going to have a cousin as well as a brother!" She wrinkled up her nose.
So there were clearly still a few things she didn't quite understand yet. maybe one day.
"Yeah, I suppose so. I just didn't think it would be today when I saw her bump. Maybe this week, but we only just got here." He giggled, having managed to pull his shorts up. "They must be back at the house, right? I bet they've been there ages. How long have we...?" He looked up at the sky and bit his lip. They'd been out having fun for a while.
Raven's challenge caught his attention and he smiled widely. "You're on!" he laughed, jogging to overtake the blond. And before long he was racing past Ilia and Yaone and down to the water. No doubt the DJ was hot on his heels. Again.
He could get used to that.
Ilia almost fell off the rock as they raced to the water. "Come on!" She urged them.
Guyy watched as the energy from the blanket began replenishing his beloved, his long fingers reaching out to catch a lock of her hair. The colour changed gradually, slowly like the sun setting. With amusement he put his hand under the blanket, feeling as much warmth in his hand when he did as if it were an electric blanket. And yet he couldn't read it on his heat senses.
"The temperature stays constant. Cool when he needs it, warm when he needs it. And it's calming. It will lull him to sleep when he's tired." Gaia explained, getting his attention again.
"Thank you. That sounds useful." He murmured, still watching Kaori's hair. "So, about my-"
"Think about it son. Discuss it with your wife first. I'll still be here. And it will be a long while before the issues on your mind will be a potential problem." She smiled, brushing his hair out of his face. "You should cut this."
"I like it this way." He complained with a smile. Sometimes they sounded like any other mother and son.
"He's beautiful." She sighed.
"Like his mother." Guyy added. Gaia smirked. She reached out to brush the baby's cheek and for a moment the child grizzled and opened his eyes before going back to sleep.
"Like his father." She cooed.
Guyy stared. Ruby red eyes.

Yaone hissed, silently amused.
-Only Femalessss bear children. And humanssss find pleassure in sssuch thingssss.- she answered the little robot as if that was just the way the world was.
-You sssshould take more initiative and download information you sssseek from either the library or other ressourssessss.- obviously the snake was out to not treat the child as a child but as the tool she was and to teach her to use her own talents to her own benefit.
Hot on his heels? More like right beside him in his race, the boxers... well he could carry those back. Water splashed up all around them and he froze a second time that day as the dirt lifted away from him. He shook his hair out under the water trying to dislodge as much as possible and went back to cleaning the rest of himself off.
He laughed lightly at the little bot's protest. "We can't go all dirty! And we won't be long. Where are they?" he called out to her.

Females bore children. Right. Females like Mama and Aya and Yaone and... she looked down at herself. Wasn't she female? Her face wrinkled a little as she frowned. She wasn't like Mama.
"Yes. I should download it." She sighed, lifting her head to watch her two uncles race to the water. Her fingers trailed over Yaone's scales thoughtfully. She did sort of like it when she asked questions. She got better answers that way. Answers with more meaning behind them than the flat pages of some textbook. Sure a book could tell her how the cells divided, and the embryos grew. But books couldn't tell you how it felt or why people did it. Not unless she found the right books anyway. And sometimes the answers she got from questions she asked helped her find the right references to trust.
"Yaone. Do you suppose that Daddy could make me like Mama one day?" She asked, watching the two men frolicking. They looked happy together. Ilia wasn't sure if she'd ever know the sort of happiness they had, or that her parents had.
Jack laughed wildly as Raven raced at his side, both plunging into the cool water with a great splash. Jack dove in, soaking his wet hair and letting the moss float free. He bobbed to the surface and took a breath, rinsing his hair out and rubbing off some grass stains from his knees. With a giggle he caught Raven around the neck and tried to duck him under the water playfully, though his call to the little robot reminded him of the reason they were washing anyway. He looked over to her.
"They're at the garden. Mama had the baby in the pool." She pointed down the beach. "I don't think she was supposed to." She frowned. It had cost her a lot to heat the pool even just a little. She was lucky Cloudchaser had come along just in time to stop her frying her body entirely.
"The garden?" Jack blinked in surprise. He bet Guyy wasn't thrilled about that. Knowing the snake he had probably spent ages setting up a place for her in the house to give birth in. He would have panicked the whole time. He giggled a little. It was very Kaori though. Perhaps being out in nature would have helped her feel a lot better about the whole thing.
"We better get going then!" He laughed, looking over his shoulder to Raven and racing up onto the golden sand. He raided the neat pile of clothing, upsetting Ilia's neat folding (making her pout) and stole Raven's shirt. He'd have to take off his boxers to put his pants on though. If he could escape with the shirt that was.

Yaone blinked at the curious little bot. -Sssilly child. You are already like your mother in many wayss, and in many wayss you are ssstronger than sshe. Hmmm... however who knows what advances technology shall make in the future and your father will always want what is best for you. Do not rush these things, be a child and live with glee in your heart all the days that you can.- With that said she fell silent and listened to the interaction between Raven and the girl instead.
Raven wandered out of the cool water shaking his hair out in surfer curls that hung messily but ultimately downright sexy. He motioned for the bot to turn around while he did the same snatching his jeans from the pile before Jack got those too. With a smirk he quickly changed, leaving the boxers on the sand off to the side. He could collect the clothes later and for now.. it looked like he was going bare chested. The bit of dampness that had been left behind now made his jeans cling in places a bit but at least he was decent and he made his way up to the bot, shaking his head and chuckling at Jack.

Stronger than Mama? Ilia's eyes went wide. That was silly! No one was stronger than Mama! The little bot giggled a little and gave Yaone a little rub under her chin, right on a sweet spot. She had every intention of staying a child for now. She couldn't play with Nette and Parvarti and the cubs if she was all grown up after all.
When a hand was waved at her she dutifully turned around, giving both Jack and Raven a chance to slip out of their wet undergarments and into dry trousers. She'd give them a few moments, and a little glance now and then, to get ready. She was keen to go.
Jack snuggled into the shirt. Though it was way too big for him it was comfortable and it smelled of Raven. He smiled to himself. He slipped out of his underwear while Ilia's back was turned, though that was mere coincidence. He was not as modest as Raven, and more forgetful about who was present sometimes.
Speaking of Raven, he turned to look at him. His hair curled. Jack stared at it, grinning. That was oddly sexy. And shirtless. And his jeans were clinging in a way that had his emerald eyes lingering and his lip slightly bitten. He padded over the sand, neglecting his shoes for now, and reached up to run his fingers over that strong chest. "Mm." He sighed, studying him.
Everything Raven did attracted him.
He stood on his toes to catch him in a kiss.
Ilia turned around and put her hands on her hips as she caught jack in the act. "Oh! Grown ups!" She complained in that manner young children used, shaking her head and sighing dramatically. "Come on!" She laughed, jogging ahead across the sand. She'd stay in sight of them and would stop at the entrance of the garden in order to guide them up to the gazebo carefully.
Hand in hand if she thought she couldn't trust them alone for five minutes.

"Tsk.." Raven poked at his hair as Jack sated at him, "Guess all the hair glue finally washed out." he chuckled and looked at the red head curiously noticing how close he'd gotten, the hand on his chest... the lean... Raven bent to meet Jack's lips with his own.
And without parting from his lips, he bent a little lower and scooped Jack into his arms suddenly, walking off after Ilia across the sand. Even if Jack didn't have pants on yet, it would be funny when he realized otherwise and had to race back for them.
Already the blond was chuckling against his lips.

"I like it." Jack murmured as they grew close. He closed his eyes as their lips met and he reached up to hook his arms around Raven's powerful shoulders. He sighed against the kiss. Shame they didn't have time for another round of fun. Maybe later.
He gasped as he was lifted off his feet. Sneaky DJ that Raven was. He clung to him as they moved across the sand behind the little robot who jogged ahead and paused to wait every so often, like an eager dog out for a walk. Thankfully he had gotten his own jeans on. But not fastened.
The movement of the walk would eventually have them hanging around his ankles in a very unflattering way. They might even fall off if he couldn't keep them hooked on his feet. But the chuckle of a kiss was infectious and before long Jack was grinning too, not really minding the indignity of it in the slightest. He got to be in Raven's arms, what was better than that?
"Come on!" Ilia called, turning around to see one uncle carrying the other. It was a very odd sight that had her covering her lips with her hands and giggling. "Oh they're so silly!" she laughed. She raced ahead, dancing from one foot to the other as she got to the garden. She pointed up into to the barely visible gazebo.
"Up there! There's a path!" She grinned, ready to lead them along it. "Uncle Jack I can see your butt."

Before the blond set Jack down gently on his feet, he was busily sneaking in kisses where he could as they made their way to the jungle like path, laughing at Ilia's comment and grinning like an idiot he finally released Jack.
"Better hurry like Ilia says, if they're still here and not at the house and need us, I can only imagine there's been complications." When Jack was ready, Raven would follow him up the path to the gazebo.

Jack giggled practically the whole way, trying to fend off the kisses half-heartedly. He was enjoying the attention and the affection being shown to him by the normally so stoic DJ. Apparently taking a little holiday had been a rather excellent idea, for the entire clan. He reached up to toy with the golden curls that amused him and gave Raven and almost entirely different appearance than the one he was used to. He really was quite cute with them.
He turned and looked over his shoulder to laugh at Ilia. "Yeah, thanks for pointing that out." He grinned. Once he was set on his feet again carefully he was able to pull his jeans up and fasten them at least. He nodded up at Raven.
"I hope everything's okay." he frowned at the blond's mention of complications. "She could just be resting, and it's a nice day out here. Very warm. Maybe there was simply no reason to move yet." He suggested optimistically. He reached up to take Raven's hand as Ilia waited for them.
Ilia smiled at them. They were almost there! She'd see her family again soon enough. She was almost hopping with excitement. She wound her way up between the trees and plants, following the path and pausing to make sure the two men were keeping up. They passed by the pool. Above them on the rocks of the waterfall Cloudchaser watched their approach.
"Just up there!" she pointed with excitement.
"We have visitors for the child." He said softly, knowing that despite the distance between him and the gazebo, Gaia would hear.
The goddess looked over her shoulder and smiled serenely before turning back to the family on the bed.
"The child returns, with the phoenix and the changeling. Looks like it shall be a while before you too can rest. You need to present your son." She laughed musically.
"Thank you Mother." Guyy smiled, pleased to hear they were on their way. When his beloved and child had more energy he knew Raven would help to take her back to the comfort of the house. He could hear the footsteps on the path as the three approached. "Hm. Almost a shame they're not bringing gifts." He said with wry amusement.
"I would hardly have described Jack as a wise man anyway." Gaia added, turning to watch them approach with her rainbow eyes. This would be the first time she had allowed any of them to actually see her. Though she stepped aside to allow them to approach the bed.
"Daddy!" Ilia laughed, running over and climbing up onto the bed. Guyy pressed his fingers to his lips for quiet and she nodded and smiled. When she noticed Gaia she stared, having no idea who she was or where she came from.
"Hello honey. Good job. Say hello to your grandmother, she's come to say hello to Aldric." he grinned. Ilia raised a hand shyly to wave and the goddess laughed gently and waved back.

As they came upon the structure of the Gazebo and Guyy and Kaori cuddled on the bed, Raven had the feeling he was intruding on the couple instead of being invited. He first saw that Kaori was soundly sleeping and something on her chest squirmed.. the baby.. but his turquoise orbs were drawn to their corner catching sight of the waving and softly laughing ... "Mother Gaia." he murmured turning to her, watching her intently for a split second, almost in a slight state of calm shock. And then he knelt upon one knee, bowing his head respectfully and keeping silent, worrying about why the goddess was here. And what her visit really meant for all involved.
Yaone slipped from Ilia then across the sheets of the bed, she wasn't unfamiliar with the presence of a god or goddess but she returned to her mistress and her newborn. Checking on the two before finding her way up to hang in the rafters of the gazebo until she was needed once again. Although she did find herself drawn to Mother Gaia and let herself hang down from the ceiling a ways inching closer to her. More or less hoping for a friendly scratch maybe but not wanting to intrude on the goddess at the same time.

"You see, that's how to show respect properly. You could learn a lot." Gaia giggled mirthfully as Raven kneels in front of her, her multicoloured eyes dancing with amusement as they flickered to Guyy. He rolled his eyes, hiding a smirk. The goddess regarded Raven for a moment, and then Jack who was standing awkwardly and clearly quite unsure if he should be kneeling as well or not. He looked very confused. She lifted a hand languidly, not needing to look to know the serpent was there as her fingers trailed beneath Yaone's chin. Jack eventually decided to copy Raven, continuing to look a bit baffled.
"Oh. You are a darling." She smiled, lowering her hand from the snake to cup Raven's chin and tilt his head upwards to look at her. "But you'll get a sore knee that way. Up you get Raven. You too Jack." She glanced to the redhead. She paused. Quick as a flash her hand shot out and grabbed Jack by the scruff with a frown.
"And how long did you think you could hide from your kindred?" She challenged. Confused emerald eyes stared at her and she sighed. "Not you, Jack. Out you come, hatchling."
Jack's emerald eyes flickered for a moment. Suddenly there was a flash and that emerald became gold. When he spoke his voice was lilting, though a little arrogant.
"I am not hiding." Said Astrossa.
"If you were not hiding you would have contacted the others by now. But we both know why you haven't, don't we?" Gaia let go of the redhead. Golden eyes looked away shamefully.
"Will you reveal me?" Astrossa asked softly.
"It is not my place to meddle in the politics of your kind, firebird. However, if they choose to consult another oracle for your location, I may be unable to prevent the truth being revealed now that I have that knowledge." Gaia sighed.
"I understand. Thank you for the caution, goddess." the phoenix nodded solemnly. Her golden eyes, somehow making Jack's face even more feminine in appearance, moved to the newborn and a hint of a smile crossed Jack's features.
"Go on. We'll talk about this in the future." Gaia nodded towards the family and the phoenix bowed Jack's head respectfully. Astrossa did not look forward to that conversation.
Meanwhile Guyy had moved to sit up, watching the exchange with amusement and keeping hold of Ilia who was trying her best to crawl over him in order to bother her mother some more. It was endearing, really. She was just so affectionate towards her mother and baby brother, but he didn't want her to wake them just yet. Besides, there were others waiting to be introduced.
With tender care he unwrapped the boy from the magical blanket, leaving that wrapped around Kaori and feeding her and instead folding him in one of the blankets Ilia had found. He cradled the baby, who squirmed a little but continued to sleep soundly, as he swung his legs over the side of the swinging bed.
"This is Aldric." He smiled, gazing down on his sleeping son's face gently as Ilia slipped behind him to snuggle up against her mother in his place. Guyy looked up and held him out a little towards Raven, seeing as Gaia was monopolising Jack for the moment. "Here." He offered.
