Sal retreated to his ship and asked his first mates "how many did we lose??"
"only one sir" they said in harmony
"thats one too many" said Sal cleaning his blades of enemy blood

Karat was in the middle of speading towords the front lines when the siren went off, and she was suddenly faced with the entire force of Mythic Dawn racing towords her.
"SHEILDS UP!!!!" She yelled at her crew.
"Umm, captain, we dont have shields."
"Oh. Right" Said Karat, slapping her head. Then she hunkered down with the rest of her crew and waited for the Mythic's to run the ship over. She stayed that way for about five minutes before she stood up. all of the ships had dissapeared. She pushed the radio button. "Ummm, we're all ok over here," She messaged back to the mother ship before getting back behind the wheel and steering back to the ship.

Greynir stood atop the deck, three bodies of his crewmembers lay before him
"damn, how did this happen?" he said to himself
Suddenly an announcement roared over the radio.
"enemies have finally evacuated, there are thirteen casualties."
Greynir was relieved casualties werent high, but another announcement was made
"All captains report to the head captains dining hall for an urgent meeting. That is all"
Greynir was puzzled on why the captain would call a meeting

Derek exchanged glances with Kiera. She nodded to him and he walked off to the meeting.

"Captain!" Alice said at Drayke who was in his lab.
"hmmm?" Drayke said turning towards his first mate
"Didn't you hear the announcement? it said ALL captains have to report to the dining hall"
"Oh yeah......that, we'll i'm kinda busy here can't you go in my stead?" Drayke said rather lazily.
"YOU AREN"T EVEN DOING ANYTHING! YOU'RE JUST MIXING WATER COLORS!
"Mixing water colors is an important matter" he said in defense
Alice gave Drayke a deathstare and slowly pulled out one of her swords.
"Alright! alright! i'm going!" Drayke said as he stepped out of his lab and headed towards the captain's dining hall
note to self: keep sharp objects away from alice when she's angry he thought as he walked along.

On the way to the dining hall Derek met up with Drayke, greeting him with a small nod.

Drayke greeted Derek and entered the dining hall and sat down, he waited for the others to gather.
