With their surprise attack, Blue Squadron took out sevral TIE Fighters and two Interceptors. Blue Squadron shot straight through the TIE formation, forcing them to break formation yet again. They quickly turned around and came in for another run, this time chasing after the TIEs instead of going through. One by one they picked the TIEs off.

"" said Blue Seven.

"Yes... almost too easy...," Ganil murmured.

"" said Blue Five, breaking Ganil out of his strance-like state.

They quickly destroyed them, then turned themselves around to face the capital ships. The thing was, they were gone. They just managed to see an Imperial Star Destroyer before it blasted into hyperspace, its damaged engine leaving behind smoke. Ganil looked into the empty space, dumbfounded.

"It was a trick! That was only a diversion so we wouldn't interfere with their retreat!" shouted Ganil, fuming. "But that would mean..." He glanced back at the debris of the TIE squadron. "That would mean they sent their own men to death so they could run away."

He sighed heavily as they turned towards the MC-90.

"YOu think I am an idiot, don't you, shifter? I've tried to read it with the Force, you fool, it's enveloped in Dark Side locks. This was written over a millenia ago, and it obviously was not meant to be read. I came to you because you are old, and might have known it. But if not, I'll just walk into your trap."

"Yes, I do think you are an idiot." Rohsan replied simpily. "If you were not an idiot, then you would have known that those locks are not as old as the writing, that they were created at the last battle of Russan, during the very ritual of witch I speak. Also, if you are not an idiot, you would have known that I am not old enough to have been around when this was written, nor am I old enough to have witnessed the ritual take place. There is only one creature that old, and he would never give you that information. I am old enough on the other hand, to know where you may find the answers you seek. Ossus. Ossus would have the answers you seek, but not all of them. Coming here seemed to be a futile act on my part, I had hoped that you would grasp the idea of what happened here, that you would understand the drastic change made in the sith order here, but you have not. You have chosen to try and cut as much time off your journy as possible, and that can spelll doom for your quest, but is that is your choice. Ossus." Walking deeper into the cave Rohsan seemed to dissolve into the shadows as he headed farther and farther under ground, entering a series of tunnels. Eventualy he imerged from the ungerground tunnel system on a small vista that over looked most of the valley. Sitting down, he kept a cept a careful eye on the small valley where the entrance to the cave was, eager to see what the mechanical sith he had seen earlier would do. Are all my efforts going to be for not? If he can't even see the most basic things in front of him, then how is he to see the path behind him. He is to caught up on the destination, not the quest. Maybe the lady he had with him will see what he can not, or even that droid who calls himself a sith. One of them must look down at the path, before an can suceed.

Mordranna blanched mildly. To be sure, she was caught off guard by the man before her in well worn stormtrooper armor. "You are quite perceptive to know that, my good man." She extended her hand to the man in friendship. "It seems that you know my name, but I fear I do not know yours." Of course, she had also hoped that the soldiers onboard weren't so jumpy as to fry the man on sight.
It seems at even after seven years, my reputation, for good or ill, still lives on ...

Cajin shook her hand.
"Cajin Jorac." he introduced himself.

"Hardly perceptive." he said, waving his hand dismissively.

"The years have been kind to you, it seems."

To be sure, Mordranna felt no malice towards the man in front of her. Even now, given her feelings regarding the Empire, she couldn't bring herself to have a dislike towards any individual. She even gave a warm smile at the comment to how the years have treated her. At thirty three standard years old, she still was taken for at least ten years younger most of the time. "Thank you, Cajin. I would like to think that you are correct in that regard." She politely bowed.
Even in that bygone era of her life, she always strove to balance protocol with the feeling that all stormtroopers were brothers and sisters in arms. "Where were you stationed? I don't believe our paths have crossed back then."

"I think I would have remembered meeting you before." he said, with a small chuckle.

She's done well for herself; That's good.
I wonder what she sees in the Republic; what makes her want to support the Republic?
I suppose it comes with being a Jedi...but is there something more?

"I was stationed on Endor." he said.

"Tell me, how did you end up becoming a Republic General and a Jedi?" he asked.

Cale locked the door to the docking bay he was renting and pocketed the key. taking one finall look around to see if he had missed anything, the outlaw walked to his fighter and lept into the cockpit.
The voice would't shut up. it insisted that he go to alderaan.
Cale wasn't crazy, he was sure of it. but the fact reimained that something was talking to him, something using the voice of that girl he knew. He blamed the rock; too much strangeness had happened since he aquired it.
he set his course for the ruins of Alderaan and muttered to himself.
"This better be good."
the Phoenix ignited its engines and soared off into the sky.

Mordranna thought well on the question that was put to her. "That is a fair question, and deserving of an answer. From the reports that I remember, the Empire fought well at Endor. However, the tactical mistake there was to underestimate the natives there, whom allied with the Republic forces. And ... one could say that the Force was at work there."
She pondered her answer carefully before continuing. "I did have a friend, or at least an acquaintance there. I often wonder if he made it back to his wife and son," She trailed off momentarily. "His name was Krolan Zeb - did you know him?"
"I see." Mordranna sadly sighed, as Cajin told her. "Things fell apart for the Empire shortly after Endor. Power plays ran rampant. Those whom one would consider brothers in arms were at each others throats. Of course, I was stationed at the Outer Rim for most of that time, knowing only that which the Imperial censors would have me know."
Mordranna frowned, her otherwise smooth brow furrowing. "And, when I found out things that I did not previously know, it truly ate away at me. The corruption, the lies, everything! I imagine that you were told that I simply disappeared, which is not far from the truth."
Mordranna then cleared her throat. "Now, about the Republic," she began. "I was not sure what things they would do in the Empire's stead. I drifted for many years, and even found some kindred spirits along the fringe. I survived largely on what little credits remained after my resignation from Imperial service. My faith was shattered in regards to the Empire, so I wished to solely watch the Republic from a distance. I admire Organa-Solo's efforts in re-establishing the ways of the Old Republic, and wish her well."
"It was during this time that I heard stories regarding the Jedi. Of course, I was brought up to believe that they were merely an anachronism, faerie tale warrior paladins with no true standing in modern times. As you can see, I eventually learned that such was not the case." She gave a light smile, her hand indicating her robes.
"I ran across a great man, whom I've come to respect. His name is Neb Wulf, who taught me all that I know. He told me that indeed, the Force was with me. As you might have guessed, it came as a shock to me. But, when I think of it in the bigger picture, it makes sense: it was always with me, and while I was in the Empire, it seemed as though I unconsciously tapped into it. Apparently, it was so hidden that even Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader may have not been aware of it. I shudder to think of what they may have done with this gift had it come to light for them."
Mordranna then chuckled. "Well. Now you know the complete legend of the Sapphire Valkyrie - whether I wish to be called that or not!"

(( Now, *that* was a mouthful! ))

"You are the idiot actually. Ruusan was exaactly 1,026 years ago. Hence hte over a millenium. I wasted my time on you shifter. Untill we meet again."

Neb finished his meeting earlier than expected, and walked out the hall, passing the line of Federation prisoners. He entered the hangar bay, and listened to Mordranna, about halfway through her story, Neb guessed, and came up behind her as silently as he possibly could.

"Names aren't always what we claim, but what others give to us instead. Legends are only born out of deeds performed. Everyone has given you your name, and now you're pretty well stuck to it, Mordranna. Oh, by the way, nice flying."

"Alright Blue Squadron, let's head back to the ship," Ganil said, a tone of dejection in his voice as he watched the last of the escape pods and shuttles enter the planet's atmosphere. He closed his S-foils, and the rest of the squadron followed suite.

They landed in the ship and got out of their ships.

Ganil spotted Mordranna and walked over to her, taking off his helmet.

"Hey, I miss anything?"

I swear, that man lives to make me blush! was Mordranna's first thought as she heard Neb's voice behind her. "Ah, thank you." she sheepishly replied as a rosy hue crept onto her otherwise ivory cheeks. "But yes, I see your point." She then continued. "I had a chat with one of the prisoners, whom would wish to come to the Republic. Likeable kid, if a bit over-enthusiastic, name of Deela Klant, I think it was. At any rate, she more or less made the same point you just did."
At that point, she noticed Ganil, and waved to him. "No, little brother," she chuckled, making sure his men weren't about. "Just a boring history lesson. Right, Cajin?" she called out to the man in the stormtrooper armor.
