Ravenwolf ArikaiHart Ravenwolf I never really liked Aerith's at all. Pink and red clash. Her jacket does look clunky, and the buttons down the front of her dress are ugly... I like her boots, though. I like her Kingdom Hearts outfits better. The KHII one is from Before Crisis too, right? Ooh, boots are terrible. Big clunky boots with a dress? Fail. Yeah, that one is in Before Crisis... (although, I think it might be blue. Or is that the one in CC?) Aerith's dress is like one giant fitted shirt. Vincent's outfit is riddiculous. xd I mean, look at those pointy shoes. How the hell did he fit in the coffin with those on? He'd've poked holes in the lid. rolleyes The boots could have worked, though, if the dress didn't suck so bad. I believe it is the Crisis Core one that's blue. That one's nice too, though. Yeah, the shoes were kind of funny, but the gauntlet was pretty awesome(it has been proven as a gauntlet, right?), and they matched, so I say the shoes are forgivable. The boots aren't bad on their own. It's just an all-around bad combination of things, I think. Gauntlet is cool (the only part of Vincent's outfit I like. And yeah, it has been proven that he has a real hand underneath) but in no way makes up for those shoes. And that weird outfit underneath? Waht the hell is that?

It's pretty basic except for the crapload of belts. I love belts. They're all... Cool, and stuff. It's a good thing he wore them; I doubt he ate much in thirty years before the game, so otherwise his pants would have fallen down. ...Wait, maybe the belts were a bad idea some fangirls might say.

I think Vincent takes that title because his clothes border that edge of realistic and fantasy better than anyone elses.

Cloud's are pretty realistic, but have a fantasy air with that huge-a** sword of his. Tifa's AC outfit kinda hits that mark too.
'Cause really, Vincent and real don't really mesh in my mind. I kinda think the normal reaction to seeing someone like Vincent would be to cross the road, dig out your can of mace and look for the freak convention.

That's exactly what I'd do, minus the street-crossing and the mace.
Yeah, I wouldn't exactly call Vincent's realistic. Everybody in VIII, I think, is good on that front, but after VIII everyone gets pretty weird. Cid's are probably the most realistic, to the point of being boring, though. I wouldn't call realism an especially good thing, in a case like this.

It kinda depends on the world though, doesn't it? Like, in a medieval world with magic and machines, you don't want normal clothes, but in a world that's supposed to looks mostly normal, fantasy clothing would be very out of place.

True, but you can change the entire world to feel more realistic or fantasy by changing people's clothes. I liked VIII's for some reason, but I normally prefer the really outlandish stuff. Otherwise, you might as well be looking at real people.
