Nereus, hearing Ona's bright voice, waited for his eyes to adjust to the nearly blinding sun, finding his pupils met with the two female's heads, both already awake and up. Ah, so he didn't wake them up. Smiling contentedly, he clambered up to Kamea's hollow through the countless branches and settled at looking at her, wondering why she looked so perplexed.
"Siblings? I don't have any that I know of," he continued with his own train of thought, eavesdropping on her personal comments.

Ona just stared at Kamea.
"umm Auntie, Don't you remember me?" She asked getting a little worried

Kamea stared at Ona and blushed a bright color, "Ummm..... I'm your.... aunt... Kamea?" She chuckled nervously, knowing she had had a big lapse in her memory once again. She stared unpleasantly at Nereus, "And why are you intruding on my home?" She blinked in confusion.

Nereus reeled back, horrified.
"Intruding? I'm Nereus, you know me," he groaned, not understand, tail still flicking back and forth, relaxed. Looking deep into Kamea's eyes, he tried looking for an answer but didn't find one. Sighing, he crept back a little on the branch, making it creak under his weight so that he wouldn't be 'intruding', whatever that was supposed to entail.
Taking a glance at Ona, he offered a half-shrug, wondering if it was some elaborate joke and if Kamea was a better actor than he thought she was.

Kamea blushed a very bright color, "I ummm, didn't happen to mention my faulty memory did I?" She looked at Nereus, "Sooo, I really do know you then?" Her wings fluttered erratically and at an irregular pace, displaying her confusion and fustration at herself. She looked at the two, "Odelay.... sooo I met 3 people, where's the third??"

Nereus flicked his tail about, eyes travelling around Kamea's face, searching for answers. And he thought he had found fragments of love there, hidden somewhere in her eyes. It was all gone, now, wasn't it. Faulty memory...? He bit his lip, trying not to cry. It was all gone.
"O-Odelay left a while ago. He had things to do, I think. Important things, or he'd have stayed with us. We entered this forest together, well, the three of you did- Ona, the lady up there," he gave Ona a curt nod. "-Odelay, a rather thick-headed male, and you. You all met up with me later. Oh, and Odelay wasn't that bad, just a little slow, honest. We all liked him, a lot." he sighed, trying not to look Kamea in the eye, hoping that the new Kamea wouldn't be able to see through his sadness so easily.
To him, she was a different person altogether, and it was tearing him apart.

"Oh, well, that settles that I guess." She didn't look too disheartened at losing someone she felt she had never met. Kamea's stomach started growling and she looked around from her vantage point in the trees, then leapt off the branch to beat her wings and hover for a moment.
"Well, I'm hungry, I don't know about you two. I know the best spot near here for fishing and drinking too!!" She started darting to and fro in front of them, checking out the many directions she could from the point of view she had.

Nereus flinched when she waved it off so easily. It was supposed to be a big deal, and how could Kamea live like this? She could have had millions of friends, but just forgot. He bit on his lip harder, clawing at the tree in frustration.
Shivering from the sudden gust of wind from her liftoff, he shook his head pasionately.
"No," he started, sounding quite bothered by it all (which he was).
"You showed it to us already... yesterday. It's that way, right?" he asked plaintively, pointing a paw in the direction where they had come. The small remains of the three tracks were still there, as were the footprints of Odelay's disappearance.

Ona frowned, it broke her heart to see Auntie Kamea forget about them.
“Okay.” She said following Kamea

Kamea stopped at Nereus' "No" and hovered in front of him blinking in confusion. "Oh did I? Was it as nice as I think I remember?" She smiled to herself, musing about it, but seeming quite out of her mind to any others. She looked from left to right, then in the direction Nereus pointed, "Ah, well, that sounds good. Let's go!"
Kamea started to fly off in the direction indicated when she watched as Ona took a tumble to the floor as she tried to follow Kamea in the air without wings. "Ona!" She flew down to see if she was alright. "You shouldn't try to fly without wings....?" She frowned, still little recognition of Ona in her eyes but concern was there as the day before when Ona was found.

Nereus swallowed, pushing back the tears.
"I-it was. Shall we go see it?" he explored, trying to see beyond the branches into their haven. Nereus nodded when she agreed, bounding down the tree branch by branch. His mind was rushing through the thoughts of how he could make her remember when his foot became caught in a stray crack and he tumbled down, crashing his shoulder blade against the tree trunk, the weakest part of his body that had suffered abuse recently from being pounced on by Loki.
Wincing, he grabbed at his back and only saw Ona's fall through eyes squinted in pain, and reaching up, trying to stop her from connecting with the ground he could make out the fuzzy sillhouette of Kamea helping her onto the branch.
Closing his eyes, the pain ebbed and flowed and he held his breath as it faded away.

"I know my mistake.." She said before rushing off towards Nereus.
"Are you okay?!" She said seaching him to make sure nothing was broken

Cracking open an eye, Nereus could only barely make out the outline of Ona's body and forced a smile.
"I-I don't think I broke anything serious..." he winced, attempting to roll over but pausing at brief explosion of pain. Lying back down, he craned his neck to find a little blood staining the leaves beneath him.
"I'm bleeding." he stated flatly, sounded half surprised and confused.

Kamea swept low over both, "Oh no! Are you both alright? Nonono...no... You need help! I'll try and bring back some water from that stream!" She flew off without another word, without even knowing or remembering where the stream was. She darted back and forth, flying high to reevaluate her position before darting off again.
