Your lucky lol. Balthier dies on me alot too but only if I'm going against a boss and I forgot to cast protecting magic.

OH, SO I DECIDED TO DO A SURVIVAL TEST ON MY PARTY.
You know the save crystal at the Ridorana Cataract? With traps all around it?
TRAINING!
I had one out at a time, made them run through all of the traps to see who was still alive. BUT I HAD TO KEEP MAKING THE TRAPS COME BACK TO CONTINUE.
VAAN DIED FIRST.
But Penelo and Fran stayed alive.
IT WAS FUN.

She's my healer, so whenever someone gets below a designated mark, she'll always stop and heal, and half of the time she's under attack so she dies. But I don't like Penelo. So I don't really value and or care about her life. surprised And don't get me started on the stupidity of my Fran. Now, I like her character and all, and she's one of my best fighters, but whenever I'm fighting with her she always gets right up to the monster's face and starts shooting arrows. I'm all like, "A bow and arrow is long distance, TURD FACE." mad

I wish they'd let us have Ondore as a guest in the party.
He'd probably complain a lot.
