T ` P o i Merle blinked and looked at Nash a bit wide-eyed. "You're a student here? You're so lucky." Merle smiled again. "I know the feeling. I'm a bit partial to cute things myself. I admit it's one of my vices, to collect cute things." His gray eyes turned back to the newcomer.
"I do believe I am. Though they're definitely male. I'm surprised you hadn't thought myself to be a girl." Merle chuckled a bit. "Though my wearing skirts certainly doesn't do anything for my masculinity." To help make them look more friendly, Merle waved to the young man in the kimono, smile still in place.
He blinked as another voice reacher his hears, a bit timid. Turning quickly to face the owner of the voice, Merle gave a reassuring look. "No worries. I know I'm in that situation a bit, since I got here not too long ago. And it's not an interruption if you'd like to join us? The more the merrier." The girlish boy bowed, since the other wasn't in handshake reach. "I'm Merle Fenglung."
Breathing a small sigh of relief that the boys had not simply ignored him, Fiach gave a small smile. Maybe this whole getting out and meeting with new people thing wasn't such a bad idea after all. Feeling slightly out of place for his sheer size and age, he sighed as he realized he was probably older than all three of those he was standing with. Being 6'4" certainly didn't help make matters feel less awkward, either. Noting the bow with a look of surprise, Fiach gave a short nod of his head before stepping nearer to the trio and putting his hand out to shake hands with the boy who had introduced himself already. Lilting in his small Irish accent, "My name's Fiach." Smiling, he turned his gaze to encompass the other two boys within the small circle that was forming, "A pleasure to meet you all."
Glancing around the crowd, easily distracted by the masses of people, Fiach found himself frowning. Maybe getting out and meeting new people at a large festival really wasn't such a bright idea after all. He had the sneaking suspicion that he would be completely lost the entire time he was here, and alone to boot, if he didn't latch onto a small group and pray they didn't let him get lost. Clearing his throat, he returned his attention to the trio before him, "So do you boys go to school here...or are you just visiting, as well?"
((For Merle, Nash, and Farlest.))

Sir?
More couldn't help but to chuckle. surprisingly enough it was not the first time that someone had called him by that title. He considered asking RuiZhi if he really thought More was as old, but decided to hold off. He peered at the direction that Rui was pointing, and did not need to look carefully to find the shadow of Alex not too far away. Like he said before, Alex was not a stranger to him, but he was surprised to see the dark-skinned assistant wearing that blue sparkling robe.
More shrugged. He didn't see that Syeth had let go of the shorter boy, but it didn't make much difference to him. "I'm following you guys." He smiled, "since I don't have any strong desire to go anywhere."

Aishawithissues Greg bowed back to Shinji. He had been going to give him a pat on the shoulder, but handshake, pat, bow it was all the same. And once you spent a little time around Elves you got really used to bowing. That and a bunch of other weird things… That really weren’t weird anymore.
“A good day indeed.” he agreed with a smile. “Which is quite nice considering that all of this is outside. Anyway I didn’t expect to see you either, actually. I sort of expect you to stay inside. I guess that Christmas just brings out a bunch of surprises, hm.” He said, lilting his voice up in a sort of half question. “Regardless of whether or not I meant to see you, it is nice.”
"Yes...nice." Shinji partially murmured the words to himself. He observed the bouncy general half-mindedly. He was amused by the man. Greg was someone with a great and respectful title, yet the very person was cheerful and carefree like a hummingbird. He nodded slightly at Greg's words, but made no attempt to reply. Part of his mind was still focused on what had happened a long time ago, the time that marked Christmas as a special sort of celebration in his thousands of years of life. In a way he was glad to have come out of his office and enjoy the holiday era. He had not have this chance back when he was alone.
"But general, I do also deserve the pleasure to be outside on this joyful day, rather than staying inside." Shinji smiled a little, "it is you that I am surprised to see here. But considering the circumstances---" he glanced over at the many females who were doubtfully looking at Greg and himself, possibly thinking of something in their strange little minds, something Shinji would preferr not to know, "---I suppose this place has also brought much joy to yourself."
There was a hint of sarcasm in his words, and Shinji did not attempt to hide it.

Irame listened silently to what Micajah said, and simply smiled and nodded. She didn’t really want to say that she had always been under the impression that doppelgangers were rather mean spirited and generally hired as assassins and thieves, not to plant gifts. Maybe the word had a different meaning from the creature that she had been taught about when she was a child?
It didn’t matter overly much as the others began to talk as well and took the necessity away from her to puzzle out what exactly she was going to say about the doppelgangers.
“I will be sure to come and visit you some time, Lorioth.” Irame said, bowing her head once more. “I have not had much experience with cameras but they seem most interesting, as well as much quicker than painting.” When you were used to sitting around and waiting for a painter to finish up a portrait (unless you managed to find some magic that got it done faster) the idea that all you had to do was press a button was most amazing.
What she also found somewhat amazing was that Ardanay grew plants as well. She had been under the impression that she was the only person on the island that grew plants. Apparently she had been wrong.
“Heru Ardanay, I was not aware that you grew plants as well. It is most exiting to find that other people grow plants here as well. I will have to send you a plant sometime this season as a gift. Is there one that you would like?” She hoped that if there was she would have it, although she doubted it. She normally had only flowering plants and things that could be harvested for other uses. (Herbs, poisons, other such things, although the second was a guarded secret and not something that she often made)

[ S a v i o r ] "A tour, hmm?" Norman repeated, rubbing his clean shaven chin thoughtfully. "You've seen the games and plushie booth, but if you would be so kind," he extended his arm to her in a gentlemanly fashion, "I will glady tour you to the photo booth." He smiled warmly, not at all put out by the suggestion. Besides, it was getting quite crowded, and that many excited bodies and a long-sleeved suit did not mesh well. "If you please?"
With his other hand, he put it over his heart, giving another slight smile. "Oh please, excuse my poor manners. My name is Norman." He gave a curt bow before re-offering his arm to the woman. "Ah!" Lexi gasped, remembering she hadn't introduced herself either. She stumbled as she tried to pull off a curtsy. "I'm Lexi. Well, Alexandra, but most people call me Lexi." With a mild blush, she took Norman's offered arm. "I'd be delighted!" she said in answer to his earlier question as she smiled up at him.

A meek smile spread across his lips as his suit was complimented by the other teen and as he listened to Vermillion's question all at the same time. Those bright optics focused still on the youth. "Well, some would guess because of my name that I'm from Israel, but I was born and raised in America," he told him honestly. Drifting to the left, brown strands fell before his face, over his pale cheeks.
"May I ask what nationality are you?" he could guess from the boy's accent but God forbid he would guess wrong. Curious, he wondered if the young man was yet part of the school or here visiting as a way of enrolling here at Shinkami. Not yet did he ask, still waiting for the answer to his previous question.

“I didn’t say that you didn’t deserve the pleasure of being outside. I never would say such a hurtful and obviously wrong thing.” Greg said, feign hurt, as if Shinji’s words had actually had an effect on him other than simple words. “Everyone deserves the simple pleasure of being able to go where they whish and when they whish. It’s inherent, as long as you aren’t in prison, I suppose.” He glanced over at the women who Shinji had just looked at and smiled at them, and waved as well. Even thought he smiled, he sighed through the smile and shook his head ever so slightly.
“Oh, it has brought much joy, as it is a joy to bring joy to others. I simply whish that… I could get a few minutes rest from the copious amounts of joy that seem to be lurking around the place in the form of the fairer sex.” He turned to Shinji. The other professor while he was out yes, seemed to be rather… inspirited and somewhat unconcerned with the day.
“Surely something other than fresh air and the outside brings out outside, Shinji. Would you like to share that, or is it really that you suddenly just sprouted a love of green and growing things?” Ah, puns. They were so much fun to make, and much more fun to inflict on others.

Is there one that you would like?” She hoped that if there was she would have it, although she doubted it. She normally had only flowering plants and things that could be harvested for other uses. (Herbs, poisons, other such things, although the second was a guarded secret and not something that she often made) Having three teachers in front of him, speaking to one another seemingly without any hesitation in their speech or their shift from topic to topic, actually made Micajah quite uneasy. He was surrounded by people of such high intelligence in their own ways, two being professors and one being an Elf, and in his own way the youth inwardly started to feel ignorant and childish. He couldn't honestly add anything stimulating to the conversation between two of them, and he felt that if he tried to lean himself towards Professor Lorioth that the man might feel there was something wrong with him and dismiss their time together.
That of course meant that Micajah wanted to continue spending time with the reindeer-decked Professor, as he enjoyed his company more than well enough, but there in it also presented a problem. He'd hardly met the man long enough to say he preferred his presence over the rest of the fair, and he didn't really know Irame nor the newcomer professor enough as well to try and dismiss himself from them without seeming rude. It was like he was stuck in a stalemate, one that would come back and bite him in the rear at any moment should he pick the wrong choice.
Micajah had liked talking to Lorioth about things in general, and had honestly been happy when the man had 'given' him that strange name of sorts, but in the same regard he liked speaking with Irame. Learning about the Elven culture, no matter what it dealt over how long-winded she said she was or felt, he soaked up and enjoyed every moment of it like a sponge in wine. He wasn't too sure of what to think over Professor Veilwood, as their last encounter had been so short they'd barely exchanged words, so leaving him for something else actually didn't seem to bother the youth so much.
"....."
He paused for a moment in his speech before opening his mouth, his mind made up on the matter a whole lot faster than what he thought it would be. Normally decisions took him minutes or hours, but this one took a second or two. He would probably regret it hardcore sometime later.
"I wouldn't mind accompanying the Professor to his photo booth to give him a chatter partner, but only if it's not really any trouble. I don't seem to know what else to do here at this event, as I hadn't even wanted to be here in the first place."

Yes, there was the expected teasing from the head of the science department, and though Lorioth was expectantly waiting to hear what Ardanay would come up with, he still couldn’t helped but blush a bright red that perfectly complemented the color of his headband.
“I-I-Can’t reindeer be doctors too?” he blurted out without thinking, and instantly blushed all the harder. Well…that was an unexpected comeback, if it could be considered that in the first place. Still, at least he actually said something coherently this time. It was a step forward—a very small one, but still a step nonetheless.
Regaining his composure, the teacher gave a slight bow to his fellow professors. “I would be honored should you decide to drop by later. My booth-it’s uhh, somewhere over there in the corner,” he said, attempting to point at the approximate location of the room, but found that he couldn’t see over the heads of the many partygoers. “Well… somewhere in that general direction at least,” he finished lamely, directing his finger to the mall’s right-hand corner. “And yes, Irame, cameras are much faster than paintings, and it would be my pleasure to demonstrate for you later!”
The doctor turned to Micajah, who stood there, impassive and silent, and he wondered briefly if he should tell him to go and mingle with the other students. Perhaps he was uneasy in the company of three professors and he couldn’t find a proper way to dismiss himself from their company and that was why he was so quiet? Unbidden worry crossed his mind, but to Lorioth’s great surprise, the youth finally opened his mouth to state that he didn’t mind accompanying him to the booth! Well, that was surprising, but the doctor felt unnecessarily touched by Micajah’s words.
“It-It’s no trouble at all,” the doctor stammered, “though please don’t feel obligated to follow me. T-that isn’t to say that I don’t want you to come with me—I’m very much flattered, but you’re free to go whenever you please.”
He paused, not sure what more to say to Micajah—or Mickey as he now referred to him in his mind, since the student had seemed genuinely…happy when Lorioth had distorted his name. He wouldn't have hesitated to call the him by that, expect it did seem a tad informal in front of all his peers and the doctor didn’t know if the youth would want to be called that name in public—and by a teacher, no less.
Giving up on thinking of new things to say, the teacher just fell silent, waiting for a reply with a feeling that could almost be described as anxiousness. Odd…

After playing the Whack-a-Mole game, Zach had gotten distracted for a good few minutes, and by the time he looked around to see where Wei had gotten off to, he was talking to an older woman Zach didn't know - having totally missed the introductions and such. Oops.
Glancing around, Zach wondered if anyone else was here that he knew and after a moment, spotted Micajah over close to the photo booth. "Heeey, Mica!" he called out, bouncing up on his toes and waving to the other. Weaving his way through the crowd, he noticed just who the other boy was talking to as he got closer. An elf! At least one, that he could see. C'mon, that wasn't fair! Putting the "plan" into motion without him..? No way!

“If you whish to go, then it is no inconvenience at all Micahja. “I am sorry if I have ignored you or done anything else detrimental. Please do how ever you whish.” Irame said. It made since that Micahja would want to go with Lorioth. After all the two had been talking about something from before she and Ardany had come and they would probably want to continue to talk.
“Thank you very much, Lorioth.” Irame said, in reference to him showing her the camera and how it worked. She understood that you pressed, but if he would show her more than that it would be very interesting.
“Oh, you must be a friend of Micahja’s. He was just going to walk with Lorioth to the photo booth, but if either of you would like to talk at a different date then I would not mind at all. I think that it would be most enjoyable to talk to you two. Besides available for help and questions is what a teacher is supposed to be there for anyway.” She supposed that since the boy was Micahja's friend he would want to go with Michaja and Lorioth.

Micajah couldn't help but feel a blush spread across his cheeks as the teacher said it was okay, almost in a manner that seemed to suggest that he was glad by it, but the boy's mind tried really hard for him to not think too far ahead into things. It wasn't right to do so, not at all, and he slapped himself for being ridiculous.
It took him a moment or two to register that Irame was speaking to him and she sounded a little...offended, and he quickly shook his head to try and dismiss her comments about possibly ignoring him or in some manner offending him. His brain rattled different responses that he could give to her, as a way of apologizing and letting her know that he did enjoy her company...but all the while his brain rattled on about how his choice did indeed come back to bite him.
"No no, Ms. Irame, please don't say it like that. I was in no way offended by your words or actions, in fact I quite enjoyed listening to you about your culture and would love to do it again sometime. Perhaps at that time I could actually bring a book or something to write down what you have to say, to record it for my own reasons, instead of forcing it so quickly into my memory. I believe we honesly haven't had enough time to talk together, so..."
He wasn't sure if he was helping his case or not by speaking like that, and Micajah worried that the Elven woman meet see his answer to her concerns as a sort of scape project. Inwardly he felt a bit ashamed of his choice now, but not sorry for it, as he really did want to accompany the teacher. He only hoped now for some sort of distraction to ease the situation...and the blessing came in the form of a familiar voice and figure that bounced on their toes.
Thank...thank anyone for that.
"Zachary! It's good to see you."
Micajah seriously almost wanted to embrace the other as he came over, came closer, out of relief, but he remembered their place and both of their genders, instead settling for a well deserved smile. He motioned politely and respectively with his whole arm in the direction of the professors, introducing them with their proper titles. He made a special stop at Irame, his face breaking into a grin.
"I told you I'd find an Elf for us to speak to one day."

Waiting was not going to get Scyeth anywhere. He huffed a sigh and shook his head and the two other boys. So indecisive! Well, he was just going to have to take charge then, wasn't he? Right. They had better not complain, not after being so wishy-washy over it. "Photo booth it is," Scyeth said briskly. He grabbed RuiZhi's wrist again and made to grab More with his other arm...only to realize his other arm was still in a sling. His arm effectively twitched and he scowled. Stupid. Well, More had better follow, then.
"C'mon," he encouraged the pair, starting off in the direction he was pretty sure the booth was in. The Australian glanced back to make sure More was still following, since he couldn't actually keep the other boy in tow. "C'mon, keep up. M'not gonna find you if you go and get yourself lost." Nope, that would be too much effort wasted. Scyeth gave More a toothy grin and continued his little travel. Hopefully, RuiZhi didn't mind being hauled around.
"There. That's it...I think."

"Mmhm, you did good, looks like!" Zach replied with a smile back at the other. He hadn't thought it would be so easy ... having some notion that elves must be shy and elusive "forest creatures" maybe. But no way was he about to question the luck.
Or be rude and screw this up. "It's wonderful to meet you," he said to both Professors. And then, he actually reached for Irame's hand with one of his - intending maybe to take it and kiss it or something like that...

"I don't--hey!" Again, RuiZhi found himself at the mercy of his room mate, who seemed intent on being the driving force between both of their movements. Instinctively, the youth reached out and grabbed More's hand - or at least, he tried to. He ended up only catching a few fingers, gripping him like a nervous date. "D-don't want to lose you in the mess!" he called over his shoulder as he was unceremoniously pulled through the throngs of people.
He ducked and murmured apologies as he shifted through the party, gliding around people like water when he could avoid them. Unsurprisingly, the booth was extremely popular, seeming to garner quite a following despite the nervous man who ran it. It didn't take long before he spotted the reindeer running the booth. Wait...what?
RuiZhi gaped a little. THAT was Doctor Manneth? The shy and timid man who blushed just being glanced at? Oh, the poor man! The boy slowed a little, turning his head to address More, "Is that him?"
