no the ban has nothing to do with us, the ban is from ppl posting images to password scam and phising sites so they can steel ppls passwords and hack their accounts, get their stuff and use their accounts for what they want. gaia is trying to stop this and until they find another way to keep them from posting the images the ban will stay in effect... i noe this all to well since i had been stupid enough to fall for one of their tricks with all my old acount and they used it to get my stuff and promote their scam some more in the forums and so that account got banned

I dont think there should even be an image ban.
Its someones own fault if they fall for the pathetic phishing attempts.
Why should they make it difficult for the majority of people just because a few people got fooled? [/semi-rant]

Why should they make it difficult for the majority of people just because a few people got fooled? [/semi-rant] It's not just the phishing code in the images, its the porn/gore/10000x10000(computer crashers) images the *chans were posting as well. Gaia blocked all images save for PhotoBucket(since they use PhotoBucket) till they can find a way to solve the problem once and for all. Least, I hope that that's why it's lasted so long.

Meh, It didn't stop some of them.
I saw a cat with the skin of its face ripped off only yesterday.
But srsly, those computer crasher images are really pretty. With all those colours and everything. Just wish they didn't take so long to load, Haha.

I completely understand why the ban occurred, but LYING to us and saying it was a temporary thing for last weekend is unacceptable. I mean if they said it was going to take a week or two to find a solution I'd be a little more understanding...

They can't really tell the future.Even if there is an online game that said it's going to be released on something like April 28 for an example,might be delayed back for a few weeks or a month or two for some technical reason. Click!

Hey guys. >.> <.< Got a few eggs myself that I need hatched... Concerning the ban on non-photobucket images... I haven't exactly been here on Gaia to experience what happened, but as far as I've seen, its caused some distress for us DragonCavers. I heard something about a petition somewhere... could someone get me a link?
