Ben was glad to see the result. remembering the layout of the area, he shot right waiting to see the response before running right himself. he was going to try and cut him off.

Pent bolted left warily, getting tired. he was sure he was near and end of some sort.

Ben lost sight of him, but knew where he was headed, that path lead to here Ben was headed. he stopped to catch he breath, he was at the spot where they had to meet at.

Pent, thuroughly exhausted, trotted to where Ben was, seeing him. He swore angrily and backed up, holding Shaon in front of him as a shield.

Ben was out of breath. "I swear... You kids... Are getting faster... every year..." He said standing up. "Hand me the girl please. I don't want to hurt you, I want to help you."

Ben had a sad look on his face. he knew it would be nearly impossible for him to convince the boy. His mind was too far gone to be completely save. " You know, when I met someone like you before, I had a hard time convincing him too. but one day he opened his eye, he understood what had happened to him. he thanked me, walked into his room and hung himself. I can only save those who want to be saved."

Shaon struggled as Pent did so, staring down the barrel of the gun. she didn;t know whether she wanted him to kill her or to let her suffer at the hands of the men she was going to be captured by.

"How...Cultic." Ben said with a false smile. "I'm sorry Shaon." He shot her left of the stomach, careful not to puncture any vital organs in the process, but hoping the bullet hit Pents heart; knowing it wouldn't.
