Wow, a teenage mom! And a Canadian teenage mom at that! Yay! whee

Sorry, my best friend is a teenage mom as well and I really wish she was pro-life. I love her anyway, it's just one of those things.

Mentor: Don't know...
Religion: Christian

Why are you pro life?
Every human being has the right to live, in the mothers womb or not.
What about physical health to the mother?
I would like to think that any parent would put their childs life before their own...I guess that's only in a perfect world. It is the babies right as an innocent human being to live.
Rape?
I will repeat, everyone has the right to live. Abortion is not the only option for rape victims.
Views on the death penalty:
In cases where if the person is kept alive, he is a threat to others. Other than that, I think only God can judge.
Vegetarian? No.
Vegan? No.
Say something positive about someone in this guild:
Lots of people like Lord of the Rings biggrin biggrin

Yeah, most people don't actually give it a chance. I read it a couple of years ago. My freshman english class actually read Great Expectations, but A Tale of Two Cities is so much better. Good to meet someone else who has actually read it! smile

Hello everyone! I was recommended to join by my brother karllikespies. heart

I'm currently undecided on abortion, because I don't know enough about it. Hopefully I'll get some insight from here.

Favorite Band: Rammstein bishes mad
Favorite Movie: Hmmm...Star Wars and Fist of the North Star (the anime...I nearly puked after watching the live action)

~*~Pro-Life~*~
Why are you Pro-Life? (Were you adopted, know anyone who had an abortion, etc.): I'm not sure why I'm pro-life. I could say because its murder, but thats not my reason. I think its more riligious. "Even before you were concieve din the womb I knew you" I knwo I have the quote wrong but, we're God created. We don't have the right to take away some ones life wiht out just cause.

What about physical health to the mother?: First off, its very rare that the mother's life is in danger. Even rarer in this day and age. We can easly see and solve a birth problem before it accures and some times during.

Rape?: No. Its not the childs fault that the mother was raped. And even at a young age it is still worng. WOman have been giving birth as young as 13 for thousands of years with little to no problem...of caourse..woman were stornger back then.

Views on the Death Penalty?: Go for it. In fact, I think its not being excersissed enough. You got guys out there getting off with life who have murdered several people. Where does the money for prisons come form? Tax payers. So, in essence, whos keepign these criminals fed, clean, clothed, and cared for? Tax payers. They are a burden on society and need to be dealt with quickly, rather then let them sit behind some concret and some bars, protected form the elements. Yes, they're being kept form doing any thing else...but most of them don't care. They arn't learnign any thing. If a guy repents for the murder, begs for forgivness and means it, good for him. But the only way to trully pay and seek forgiveness in the intentional tackign of a life is to give up your own.

Are you vegetarian?: no

Vegan?: no

Heros: Jesus Chrsit, and the guy who stood out and ate a bucket of chiken in front of vegan protesters in fornt of KFC

Are there another ways you're pro-life?: Assisted suicide is wrong. Plain and simple. I despise the modern Hippocratic Oath. If I may quote it and highlight a few choice lines...

Quote:
Hippocratic Oath -- Modern Version

I swear to fulfill, to the best of my ability and judgment, this covenant:

I will respect the hard-won scientific gains of those physicians in whose steps I walk, and gladly share such knowledge as is mine with those who are to follow.

I will apply, for the benefit of the sick, all measures which are required, avoiding those twin traps of overtreatment and therapeutic nihilism.

I will remember that there is art to medicine as well as science, and that warmth, sympathy, and understanding may outweigh the surgeon's knife or the chemist's drug.

I will not be ashamed to say "I know not," nor will I fail to call in my colleagues when the skills of another are needed for a patient's recovery.

I will respect the privacy of my patients, for their problems are not disclosed to me that the world may know. Most especially must I tread with care in matters of life and death. If it is given me to save a life, all thanks. But it may also be within my power to take a life; this awesome responsibility must be faced with great humbleness and awareness of my own frailty. Above all, I must not play at God.

I will remember that I do not treat a fever chart, a cancerous growth, but a sick human being, whose illness may affect the person's family and economic stability. My responsibility includes these related problems, if I am to care adequately for the sick.

I will prevent disease whenever I can, for prevention is preferable to cure.

I will remember that I remain a member of society, with special obligations to all my fellow human beings, those sound of mind and body as well as the infirm.

If I do not violate this oath, may I enjoy life and art, respected while I live and remembered with affection thereafter. May I always act so as to preserve the finest traditions of my calling and may I long experience the joy of healing those who seek my help.

I much prefer the old (Not all of it mind you), and heres why

Quote:
I swear by Apollo Physician and Asclepius and Hygieia and Panaceia and all the gods and goddesses, making them my witnesses, that I will fulfil according to my ability and judgment this oath and this covenant:

To hold him who has taught me this art as equal to my parents and to live my life in partnership with him, and if he is in need of money to give him a share of mine, and to regard his offspring as equal to my brothers in male lineage and to teach them this art - if they desire to learn it - without fee and covenant; to give a share of precepts and oral instruction and all the other learning to my sons and to the sons of him who has instructed me and to pupils who have signed the covenant and have taken an oath according to the medical law, but no one else.

I will apply dietetic measures for the benefit of the sick according to my ability and judgment; I will keep them from harm and injustice.

I will neither give a deadly drug to anybody who asked for it, nor will I make a suggestion to this effect. Similarly I will not give to a woman an abortive remedy. In purity and holiness I will guard my life and my art.

I will not use the knife, not even on sufferers from stone, but will withdraw in favor of such men as are engaged in this work.(I will not assist my pastent in suicide, in other words)

Whatever houses I may visit, I will come for the benefit of the sick, remaining free of all intentional injustice, of all mischief and in particular of sexual relations with both female and male persons, be they free or slaves.

What I may see or hear in the course of the treatment or even outside of the treatment in regard to the life of men, which on no account one must spread abroad, I will keep to myself, holding such things shameful to be spoken about.

If I fulfil this oath and do not violate it, may it be granted to me to enjoy life and art, being honored with fame among all men for all time to come; if I transgress it and swear falsely, may the opposite of all this be my lot.

Its also obvious as to why the oath was changed...

Tiger of the Fire
