Sohalia stretched her limbs and decided to find her brother and son. She came upon them helping out an unusual grouping of young rinas. "Did you two adopt the entire world again?" She smirked and looked about at the younger taestysia.
Sirius sniffed in her direction, "No. They're new and needed help, can't you grouse elsewhere if you're not wanting to be helpful?"
Astraeus smiled and pounced over to his mother, "Mom!" He nuzzled her as she nuzzled him in turn, very lovingly. "They're good taestysia, but a bit lost... like us."
Sohalia spared the group one more glance before padding over to the stream and took a drink. She returned to lean down and examine the smaller taestysia. "Maybe they're meant to grow up on their own and fend for themselves. Nobody is helping us." She narrowed her eyes at the young ones as if inspecting something a bit unpleasant.

Soxs stayed where she was with Sirius when Astraeus ran off to a new Taestysia. He samed so happy to see this female, it made her feel warm inside. She even felt like bounding off after him to join in and all most did but then the black rina got an odd, awkward feeling from the way the new females was looking at her and her friends. She didn't know what else to do so she hide her head behind Sirius leg.

Sirius' tail lashed in fustration, "You always were small-minded Sohalia. Look, you're scaring them." He bent down to nuzzle Soxs. "It's ok... that's my sister, Sohalia. She won't hurt you, even if she acts different."
Sohalia smirked at her brother. "We really shouldn't share our resources with others, you're always picking up strays.... No one has done us any favors I don't see why we should."
"Give to get mom..." Astraeus said and nuzzled her gently, trying to calm her down. "Besides, they're fun to play with." He smiled brightly at his mother, hoping she wouldn't be too upset. He knew she didn't like strangers too much, though she had a soft spot in her heart for her family.
Sohalia licked her son's cheek and looked to Sirius, "This is your influence?" She snickered and sighed. "Fine, but they're your responsibility..." With that she nudged Astraeus over to the stream, "Have you become an expert fisher now, Astraeus?"

Soxs moved away from Sirius' legs after the nuzzle and words. She felt a bit braver now. She watched the two talk, Sox may not have understood their talk but she did understand the feeling behind those words. She still didn't like the way Sohalia was talking but she was Sirius sister, mother to Astaeus. They where so nice...maybe she was too.
Soxs with her head and tail low and still, her ears pulled back, she paddled over to the female and said the first thing that came to her mind. "Soxs." She looked to the side trying to think for something more to say but thing came.

Astraeus nuzzled at Soxs when she came over, then walked slowly into the stream to show his mother what he learned.
Sohalia bent her head down imperiously at the little female and sniffed. "Is that your name?" She looked to Sirius, "Don't you think it would be important to teach them to speak?"
She looked at the young one again and tilted her head, "What else do you know?"

Jaya was curious about this new female voice. She listened silently as the voice didn't seem happy at all for her guardian to be helping rina that apparently were with him. What about her? She would be disliked, she had a feeling. "Is that sister?" she questioned Sirius feeling safe to speak with him the only one to hear. The bell of course jingling softly as he nuzzled the small rina Soxs bringing attention to it.

Sirius felt Jaya's concern and answered her, "Yes, that is Sohalia. She has had a hard life... She's truly a good person, just has her reasons for being so upset."

Jaya still wasn't so sure about the female but kept an open mind to catch this good nature from her.

Astraeus watched the waters and expertly hooked a rather large fish. It somewhat fumbled on his claws as it was being tossed onto the shore, but it was quite a lucky catch for him. "Breakfast is served mom!" He laughed and pranced around proudly.
Sirius smirked at his sister, "She speaks well enough for being less than a day old." He smiled at his nephew, not wanting to ignore his accomplishment.
Sohalia chuckled at Astraeus and leaned down to nuzzle and lick his cheek. "My expert fisher!" She winked at him then shot a look at Sirius much like they had a shared secret. She loved her son with all her heart, but cherished Sirius for staying by her side. Even if she didn't know it very well most times.

"Name." Soxs nodded her head at the female with a smile, then she went on. "Hungry, thirsty, hurt, family, friend, Sirius, Astraeus, Kane." She looked over to the red rina and smiled when she said his name. She had more words locked away in her head but though where the first to come to mind.
She looked to the fish Astraeus just caught and stuck out her tongue at the smell. They did taste good but that smell was horrible. Good thing she was no longer hungry.

Sohalia laughed at Soxs' little knowledge, then looked to Sirius, "She knows the words, but not their use. Maybe you should take more care with your own charges?" She flicked her tail in his direction.
Sirius grinned, "She learns as she hears the words. Not everybody can learn the same way we did. And of course some aren't as clever as yoou." He added the last with a playful smirk, placating his sister and trying to soothe her attitude.
Astraeus meantime batted at Soxs' playfully. "Silly Soxs. You know you like fish." He smiled big at her. "Want some more?"

"Mrow." She sat up on her hine legs and batted Astraeus back playfully. "No, I..." She tried to remeber what that words was and if she was using it correctly. "Good?" She smiled hoping she was right and then batted Astraeus on the nose.

Astraeus beamed brightly at Soxs. "That's good. You can also say you're full or not hungry anymore." He pranced around the younger tae proudly. He pounced over to his mom and nudged the fish in her direction. "Here mom, you can have it." He smiled, so proud of his accomplishments today.
Sohalia felt so proud of her son for learning so much and nuzzled him affectionately. "You're the best son, Astraeus." She winked at him and licked his cheek gently before picking up the fish and walking away from the group a ways to eat in peace.
Sirius walked over to Astraeus and Soxs, "Yes, she's learning quite a lot. But I wonder if these young ones have anywhere to sleep?" He looked to the afternoon sun and realized half the day had passed.

Soxs mouth opened as she smiled, still sitting on she hine legs she moved about happily as Astraeus pranced around her. She was almost dancing. She stopped went Sirius came on over, she looked up to him and fall back down on her front paws. "Fluffy!" She said as she thought she knew what he was talking about. The black Rina nudge Sirius and bound off back to her pillow to show him where she woke up with the others.

Maddy was fast asleep when she heard other noises from some where not to far. Her ears just gently twitching as her eyes slowly opening. Her head lifted from her front feet and looked towards the direction. Her yellow eyes peering over and seeing others there. Her tail swished against the ground as she started to get up from her spot and make her way towards them in a curious manner.
