sam smiled, feeling relieved that he wanted to spend time with her too. But if they did spend more time alone together how was she supposed to tell Joey? "Take one of the limos home ok? I dont want you walking home alone..." Sam said concernly. She could see the mansion from where they were walking. She sighed.
Seto smirked standing up and moving closer to the blonde, trying to intimidate him, wanting control of the situation. "Its not my fault youre worthless. I just tell you the truth." he said.
"So... what do you do together?" Yugi asked curiously, looking down at his hands which her fidgiting nervously. He felt bad for asking her such things but he was dying to know what they did together, how Kaiba treated her.

"Oh no, I'm fine. I don't mind walking home- it's not far," he said to her as they stood at the steps. He didn't want to accept the offer, he felt like to many people took advantage of Sam- like how she always pays for people. He knew she and the Kaiba family could afford it- but it felt like mental usage. "Well, I'll see you tomorrow?" he asked with a slight bit hope though majority of the toon was cool and collected. His gut was turning, he didn't want to seperate- but everybody had to eventually go home.
Why the hell does Seto think that!? Why does he have to kick him down all the time!? Joey felt on the edge- he felt like lashing out. The frustration from inside boiled within him. He just wanted to be accepted, he wanted Seto's approval so bad. His eyes held rage and forming tears. He wasn't about to cry, Joey would never cry. He grabbed Seto's shirt, wanting to punch him in the face. Instead, he pulled Seto towards him and to his lips. His mind just blanked out, as the two of them kissed.
"I dunno," she said as a vague childish answer. She looked away again, trying to think. This was awkward. On one hand, she wanted to pour her heart out to him and tell him how she's questioning it herself. But on the other hand, she felt she was being pried at and it irritated her. Perhaps the irritation came from the fact that Kaiba practically didnmt care about her? That was definately a yes. She just didn't want to face it. "Well nothing much, as of yet," she said in a small voice.

Yugi scratched the back of his neck. "You guys dont seem like a well like a good couple. I dont know why Kaiba asked you out in the first place since he just ignores you... Dont you think you should break up or something?" He asked. It sounded a lot better in his head but when he said it outloud it sounded like he was insulting her.
Seto longed for the kiss as much as Joey had. All this tension between them was released in that kiss. Seto let his eyes close and he placed his hands on Joey's hips, returning the kiss passionately, wasting no time before prying his tongue into the other's mouth.
Sam frowned. "But I want to make sure youre safe!" She protested. She sighed and gave up. She smiled at him. "You bet. We'll all meet at your house ok? See ya..." She said before going inside. She had to get away from him before she said or did something she would regret. She walked into the living room and froze, her eyes widening at the sight before her. Her boyfriend and her brother were kissing? She felt betrayed, hurt by both of them. AWhat was going on? They hated each other. This couldnt be real! She dropped their ice creams and just stared at them in shock and confusion.

Akiko brought her wandering gaze directly back to Yugi. She slightly narrowed her eyes, how could he say that? Why would he ask her out in the first place? Was she that undatable? "So, you don't think I should be asked out? That it's not worth it?" she said in an irritated voice. It really hurt her, what was his view on her? It must have been a poor view. "But," she began to say but wasn't sure exactly what to say first, "he's not ignoring me. He's just busy." Her stomach plummitted to her stomach when she said that. She's heard that excuss before, she knew that excuss by heart- far before Kaiba.
Joey felt Seto's rather forcefull kiss back. He was willing to throw everything on the line and found it was worth it. He didn't focus on logic, just the bliss of the moment. However, it was short lived when he heard something fall behind him. He jumped and pulled away from Seto. Spinning around, he saw Sam standing there. His face turned white as snow. "S-Sam?!" he said in w cracked voice. He just froze there, she say it? The look on her face told him yes. Oh god, what did he do? What did he do to Sam? Why did he do it?
Atem nodded and watched her walk into the mansion. After a few seconds of staring at a closed door, he walked away towards home. He walked slowly back home- always looking behind him for Sam. His heart was so heavy, his mind was filled with Sam. Why didn't he ask her before Joey? Why? God, he just wanted to hold her close and make her happy and smile. He would give anything to be her guardian, her lover, her companion. The thought of letting her go put him more into a depressed state.

"No no no! Thats not what I meant!" Yugi said quickly, trying to get his thoughts together and think before he speaks. "You just arent right for each other!" He said. He looked at her almost desperately. "I'm your friend. I'm only looking out for you!" He wanted to say she should be with him but he just couldnt. He was too afraid of rejection.
((Should I have Sam run to Atem or just go to bed so we can skip to the next day?))
Sam glared at him and turned around, tears in her eyes. Joey was supposed to be her boyfriend and her best friend. So what was he thinking? She never imagined he would do that to her, with her own brother none the less.But she also felt kind of relieved. It was like she was waiting for a reason to break up with Joey and it finally happened but it still hurt. "Just leave me alone." She whined.
Seto looked at Sam and then looked away guiltily. He just couldnt help his feelings for Joey. But he felt ashamed. He shouldnt have been so weak. Everything just seemed so screwed up and confusing right now. he didnt know what to do.

"But Yugi, I can look out for myself!" Akiko said in a slightly raised voice. She was frustrated with herself, not Yugi. Yugi was trying to help her, but she resisted it. Nobody should take time out to help her, she felt she was a waste of time. She looked back down more-so in sorrow. Her feelings were throwing her back and forth as if in a torrent. "But.... but he said...." she said trying to make it sound it was ok for them to be together. "He sounded interested in me...... he said he..." Akiko stopped, she couldn't even bring herself to say that he loved her. She's heard those hallow words before in her childhood.
Joey ran up to her and grabbed her arm. "Sam, it's not what you think," Joey lied. This was all wrong, Sam wasn't supposed to see- Joey wasn't supposed to do that. Did he kiss him? Dear lord why did he do that? Seto's a man! He couldn't be gay..... he couldn't. But he enjoyed the kiss- his heart raced like never before. No! He couldn't be gay! And not with Seto, Sam's own brother.
Atem walked into the Game stop and straight to his room. He had forgotten about Akiko being there, nor did he witness what was going on. He closed his door and threw away his empty ice cream cup. He was exhausted, mentally. He changed out of his clothing and into a T-shirt and boxer shorts. He curled into his bed, holding a pillow. He felt down, saddened- he didn't want to let his love for Sam go. He didn't want to move on. But he couldn't do anything to make her his. He couldn't make them break up, it was wrong.

Sam pulled her arm quickly out of his grip and slapped him. She hadnt meant to but her emotions were going wild and she felt so confused. "I dont know what to think!" She yelled at him and turned on her heel, walking quickly to her room.
"But Kaiba's a snake! And you barely know him! Why would you go out with him?!" He said desperately. Yugi rarely ever said bad things about anyone. He had wanted to be Kaiba's friend at one point too but he just hated him now, he couldnt help it. Kaiba had everything. And before that didnt matter to him until Kaiba took the one person he wanted most.
Seto just watched then and then turned, going up the stairs. He was telling himself that he didnt have to explain anything! That Joey was the one who kissed him! but he had kissed back... Seto shook his head and continued to put all the blame on Joey.

Her face displayed a mixture of anger and upset. She closed her eyes and bared her teeth slightly. She was being pried at, and he finally broke through. "I don't know!" she shouted at him, "I just don't know, ok?!" Why did Yugi have to do this? Why did he care? It's her stupid mistake for saying yes, for not being able to say no. "He just made it sound he was interested in me. I was afraid to say no. And I thought maybe it would be worth it since he sounded sincere!" she said lower then her original shout. She told him the truth, especially being afraid to say no and practically being persuaded. She felt absolutely weak from the fact her reasons were pathetic. "Why do you care anyway?!" she said. She was frustrated she openned up.
Joey recoiled backwards from Sam's slap. He placed his hand on his cheek. It was perhaps the worse slap he's ever received- physically and mentally. Sam was no push over, the slap hurt. And the fact of the matter made the situation worse. Kaiba left without saying anything. Now he probably hated him too. But kissed him back! He even forced his tongue in! It had to be wanted, it had to have been. But it was still horrible, what he did to Sam. He took his jacket and left, left for home. He kept his head down in shame the whole way back.
Atem felt his eyes grow heavy. He tried staying up, thus his continuation of staring blankly at the wall. He was desperately keeping Sam in his mind, fantasizing about her and him together. His eyes drifted shut.

"Because because I care about you!" He said truthfully. But his mind quickly grew afraid and aware of the unpreventable rejection that was sure to come. "I'm your friend! I want you to be happy..." He said honestly even though there was a whole lot to it. He wasnt going to admit now that he was jealous. "You give Kaiba your attention just to have it thrown back in your face. You should just forget about him..." He said, his face red and full of concern. "He doesnt see how smart and pretty and perfect you are..." He said quietly.
Sam got to her room. She locked the door behind her and layed down on her bed. She stared up at the ceiling. She was so confused. On the one hand she felt betrayed and hurt and angry. And on the other she felt relieved and happy and hopefull. She knew she cared about JOey, maybe even loved him, just not as a boyfriend. But it still hurt. But isnt she just as guilty for having feelings for Atem? She sighed and soon fell asleep, tiered from all the day's events.
Seto went to his office. He couldnt focous and work now but he had to think. He was very logical. Joey liked him right? That would explain the kiss but their culd have been another reason behind it. He would have to talk to the blonde to see why he kissed him. And Sam... he didnt even know how to handle her right now. He knew he hurt her but he wouldnt admit it.

What Yugi was saying was the truth and she new it. She just hated hearing it. And hearing that he cared about her made her feel good and bad at the same time. Good because she did want it from him, bad because the good feelings she had made her feel unloyal. Even if Kaiba didn't treat her right she should be loyal. But Yugi was right, she should break up with him- they didn't need each other. Her eyes no longer showed anger, but sorrow. She tried to hide these feelings but they were resurfacing. Especially her feelings for Yugi. Akiko began liking him a while ago- way before Kaiba. But she was to afraid to say anything so shehid the feelings away. But he had to bring them out again. She leaned in and layed her forehead on his chest. "Why does everyone leave me?" she said in a sadder voice. Her father neglected her and now her boyfriend did the same thing. She felt it was a vicous cicle.
Joey snuck into his house. The lights were off and all that lit the house was the TV. He could hear his father's drunken snores. Bottles were scattered all over the floor. Joey tip toed after he shut the door. He almost got to the stairs when he heard "BOY!" Joey swung around to see his father still in the armchair. "You worthless piece of s**t, good for nothing, b*****d little," his father slurred as he fell back to sleep. Joey didn't need this, especially not now. He rushed as quietly to his room and into his room. He felt like a screw up, how could this have happened.
Atem slipped into a REM sleep- he began to dream. In his dream, he was on the board walk looking out to the beach. He leaned on the guard rail as he sighed. Suddenly, Sam appeared next to him. She smiled and leaned her head against him. "Sorry, I'm late," she said to him as she nuzzled his arm. Atem's face brightened as he stood up to face her he carressed her face, "I'll always wait for you." She held onto his hand, as if never wanting him to stop touching her face. In reality, Atem held the pillow tight, he would mutter her name once in a while.

Yugi wrapped his arms around her when she leaned her head against him. "Everyone? what do you mean Akiko?" He asked gently. "I'll never leave you. I promise." He said softly. If there were more then Kaiba neglacting her then what did that mean? Her old friends? Had she had any other boyfriends? Yugi was confused but all he knew was that no matter what he would be by her side.
Sam didnt have a pleasent dream. She was surrpounded by darkness with her friends. And one by one they would all pair up and leave, Joey with Seto, Yugi with Akiko and Atem with Tea. She was left alone in her own misery. She shouted for each of them to wait for her but she was left alone. She shuddered in her sleep and tossed and turned, unable to sleep peacefully.
Seto fell asleep in his office after getting very little work done. He was leaning on his desk fast asleep, blocking out the day's events and focousing on nothing.

Her head shook in disagreement. She was filled with irrational thoughts and overbearing feelings. "No," she said as she pulled away and jumped up. She stepped away slightly and said with tears in her eyes, "If I get too close to you then you'll leave. I don't want you to, not you. That's why I can't let myself love you." Her voice was cracking, she felt hysterical. She said too much, she couldn't be here anymore. "I have to go," she said trying to hold back tears she needed to release. She quickly fled for his door and to the outside.
Atem's dream continued. Sam said to him, "But you need to open your eyes." Atem looked at her funny, "My eyes are open." Sam shook her head, "Your not here until you open your eyes." Her face grew sadder as she repeated it. Atem thugged her and said, "Sam, I'm here, my eyes are open. What's wrong?" Sam shook her head, "You need to open your eyes. Why aren't you here?" Atem was very confused and upset. "My eyes are open!" he said slightly upset. In reality, Atem was starting to toss and turn slightly.
Joey didn't go to sleep right away. He stared up at the ceiling for a long time. He never thought his gradual lack of interest in women was anything important. That's why he asked Sam out- they were friends and he thought she would make him reinterested. But he couldn't feel anything for her- except what they had in their friendship. Did he just use her? No, he would go out with het, especially if he was interested in women. She beautiful and fun and just great. But he wasn't turned on like he should. So was he gay? That kiss with Kaiba sure made him believe it. What was he going to do?

"L-Love? Wait? what?" Yugi stammered confused, his heart beating fast and his mind focoused on when she said love. But he had to focous on everything she said and help her. He would never leave her, he knew he could never do that. But as soon as he got his thoughts together she was out the door. "Akiko wait!" He called running after her but she was already gone by the time he made it to the door. "I love you..." He said but it was already to late. He felt like crying. He had caused everything just now. It was his fault that she was upset again. He just couldnt make her happy like he wanted to. He sighed and walked back inside, his eyes filling with tears as he quickly brushed them away with his sleeve but they just kept comming and soon pouring down his face. "What did I do?" He said to himself and went to his room, laying down n his bed and trying to make his tears stop. He hadnt noticed Atem had even come home or was in his room.
Sam woke up and groaned, feeling her face. They were wet from tears. She had been crying in her sleep and could clearly remember her dream. She rolled over, pulling the blankets around her closer. She thought about the situation. She was being selfish. She wasnt even thinking about Joey anymore, she was thinking more about Atem. Her feelins werent fair to Joey. Did he know how she felt about Atem? Is that why he...? She trailed off in her thoughts. And poor Akiko. She doubted seto would even tell her. She didnt know what to do. She had to see everyone tomorrow and she didnt think she could handel it.
Seto woke up in the middle of the night and made his way from his office to his bedroom. Joey was now on his mind once again. He was fustrated with everything. Why did Joey have to pick Sam? Why had he denied he was gay and hurt Akiko? He sighed. He would break upwith her tomorrow and talk to Joey and then eventually Sam.

Akiko ended up running all the way home. Sometimes she would look back, wanting to run back and return to his arms. But she couldn't, she had to be loyal and she felt the act would defy that. She mentally cursed herself, why did she have to screw up everything? Yugi probably thought she was a nut job. Hopefully not though, she was trying to avoid giving him such negative thoughts. She entered her house and straight to her room. She just layed in bed, staring at the wall. She hated the fact she couldn't control her feelings, that she opened up like that. But she needed somebody to talk to, whether or not she she thinks she needs to.
Sam kept getting sadder as the dream continued. He couldn't help her, she just kept saying to open his eyes. He was flailing around in his bed. Rather the murmuring her name, he was now yelling it out. He finally whacked his foot hard enough on the wall that it woke him up. He sat up and looked around. It.... was just a dream? The feeling of emptiness filled up inside of him. Sam still wasn't his. He sighed, he got up and shut his lights off and returned to bed. It was the middle of the night.

((I'll just skip to the next morning.))
Sam slept in. When she finally woke up it was time to go to Yugi's. But she didnt want to. She knew Joey would be there. She got up and took a quick shower, putting on sweats pants and a muscle shirt. She went down to the kitchen and got a bunch of food. She went to the livign room and layed all the food out on the table. Then she turned on the tv. She didnt plan to do anything else all day. She didnt even want to call and say she wasnt comming. She just wanted to ignore everything that happened. She had used to drink her problems away but after seeing what Joey deals with at home she didnt drink much alcohol anymore.
Yugi woke up and took a shower, getting dressed sloppily and slowly. He just felt so depressed and sad over what happened. He knew he had to find her and apologize to her but he didnt think she would come today. So he would have to cancle hanging out with everyone and going on his own to find her. He walked over to Atem's room and knocked on the door. "Hey, you awake?" He asked not cheerfull at all.
