"Ah!" A surprised gasp came out of Mailuk as Sykn popped up infront of him so suddenly, the blue shaded fur along his neck that had bristled up resting back down against his body as he relaxed once again. "You scared me there for a second... Thought you might have been a shark.. Or maybe a giant fox-eating fish!" Mailuk exaggerated with a laugh, giving a wag of his tail as she nibbled on his ear, smiling contently to himself at the affection she was giving him.

Sykn laughed lightly as she left go of his ear and looked him right in the eyes, coping his content smile. She was so happy at the moment, she really didn't care for much else. Though, she did hide a little yawn. "Fox eating fish? I don't think so!" She said, tilting her head for a second. She glanced around, with the weather as cold as it was no fish would come to the top of the water.

"Aww, not a fox eating fish?" Mailuk exclaimed a pout, tilting his head to the side slightly to copy Sykn as she had with him before. "But it could have been like one of those mutated ones or something... O-or something." He said with a smile on his face, but the appearance slowly turning into a rather confused look as he finished his sentence. "Hey Sykn, what do you think about kits? D'you like them? Or maybe not?.. I like them myself." The rosey fox had asked the question to satisfy his own curiosity, of course, wanting to know about her and so he knew what made Swirly happy... After all, her being happy made him content.

"Or it could be a Zombie Fishy!" Sykn exclaimed, gasping lightly and then laughing lightly. She loved being able to joke around with Mailuk, it was part of the reason she had fallen in love with him! She squealed lightly as her mentioned kits. "They're so adorable! Right? Not to mention they're hyper and fun! They come up with the best games too!" She said, nodding her head lightly. She was paddling her paws under the water to stay up. Yawning again lightly, not bothering to hid it now. It was completely dark outside and Sykn found herself glancing up at the stars.

"Zombie fish? That could be it." Mailuk said, letting his tail wag slowly in the water as he pretended to think about the words, raising a paw to his chin and tapping it against his chin a few times. "Probably it!" He said simply with a grin, then laughing softly at her reaction when he had mentioned kits. "They really are cute.. most of the time, anyways. I know brother wasn't all that cute when he was little, for a fact." He said with a small smirk at his comment about Lance, then glancing over at Sykn as she let out that soft yawn, tilting his head to the side and smiling at her. "Tired a little?"

Sykn nodded her head, but laughed lightly as he made fun of his brother. "I wish I had a brother! That's be so awesome! Even if he were a 'not cute' kit!" She said, wrinkling her nose lightly then nodding her head again just as she yawned. "It's real late now! Look up at the sky!" Sykn said, lifting her paw out of the water and pointing up at all the stars.

"Nu-uh, you wouldn't.. They're far too pesky." Mailuk retorted back at Sykn in an stern voice, unusual for him... But he was only joshing her, of course, flipping the odd tone around into one of his usual cheery smiles. Letting out a soft laugh as she yawned once again, Mailuk wagged his tail in the lake's water. He then gave a tilt of his head back as she lifted her paw out of the water, following it with his eyes as she motioned up towards the sky, flashing a smile at what he saw. "Wow.. The sky's really pretty tonight!"

Sykn smiled, turning her attention from the sky back down to Mailuk. "Think we've done enough swimming for one night? Maybe when it gets warmer it'll be better." She asked, shivering lightly in the cold. She really did love the winter months, but she had never been swimming when it was so cold outside. She was sure by now she'd prefer to keep swimming to the more warmer months.

Mailuk looked over at Sykn, giving a nod of his head and a smile in agreement. "I bet it's going to be really nice once it starts to get warmer later on. Maybe we can come back around then!" He said, giving a wag of his tail underneath the water, causing the surface of the water to ripple slightly at the movement. He let out an annoyed huff, shaking his head to get rid of some of the chilly water that had snuck it's way in before starting to make his way back to the shore to dry off, giving a glance back with his tongue lying out of the side of his mouth, panting lightly... He had forgotten to take off his arm warmers before and now they were all soggy and wet! And it was making it a little difficult for the poor fox to make his way back, having his front legs being dragged by the accessories.
