"No worries, girlie. Even I get tired sometimes. Just happens that way." Motioning for Cyabo to follow, Mect cuddled his daughter close, swimming in the direction she had pointed out. "Sleepin's good, gives you a chance to dream of good things, and makes time go faster. Bam! You wake up, and it's the next day already!"

Echo giggles sleepily at her father. "You're silly Daddy. I wuv you, and bubby too." She smiled and looked around, pointing to the little shelter in the corner. "That's my room."

Entering the little shelter, Mect had to stoop slightly to fit inside comfortably, then leaned lower so that he could tuck Echo into her little bed. Deep down inside he sensed that his little girl wouldn't be a little girl too much longer, and he smoothed her fins, smiling gently at her. "That's right, we'll see you both tomorrow."
Cyabo peeked from around one large pony leg, then chimed, "Night, night, sleep tight, Echo! Dream sweet!"

"Night Daddy. Night night Bub..." Little Echo was asleep before the last words left her mouth. She didn't even notice her brother and father leave, lost in her dreams.

After they both made certain she was well asleep, Mect gathered his boy up in his arms, having noticed that Cyabo was also beginning to show signs of fatigue. Quietly, he left his daughter asleep, making a promise to himself to either return soon, or see to it that she could be closer to him.

 "Echo! Slow down, it's not that much further but that doesn't mean you have to swim as fast as possible." Seren, while a fast and decent swimmer was no match for pony blood, and was therefore struggling to keep up with her friend. She was excited to see Mect again, and to meet Echo's brother who she'd heard so much about.  Echo couldn't swim fast enough. She was leaving a trail of foam and bubbles behind her from her speed, eager to see her Father and brother again and to introduce them to Seren, finally. Seren had been unable to escort her to her father's tanks when she was a fry. Her own father, Kalani, hadn't wanted her out in the open alone with just a young fry and no back up. But now that Echo was grown, the girls could wander where they wished within reason. "Come on Seren, just a little further!"

 Cyabo was ahead, a slight distance from the caves of Mem's brood, moving some branches of coral around to form what looked like a rough shelter. Hearing the sound of a familiar voice, he paused, then used a fin to wipe his forehead off. Glancing about, he tried to see if he could figure out who it was, and just barely caught sight of Echo, trailing her cloak behind her. A wide grin spread across his face, and he waved his fin in the air. "Echo? Yo! Over here!"

Echo heard her brother's voice in the distance. Not even losing speed, she looked around and spotted him, slightly altering her direction towards him. "Bubby! Come ON Seren!" She yelled over her shoulder as she shot forward towards her brother. When she got close enough she barreled into him a flurry of fins and cloak.
Seren paused at the sight of the male pony ahead. He looked alot like Mect, but she knew from his movements and mannerisms that it was someone else. Echo seemed to know him, Maybe this was her brother? Seren slowed her approach so that she could observe before she was noticed, watching the two seemingly siblings for a minute.

It *was* Echo! He dropped the branch of coral he had been holding, barely noticing when the rough shelter suddenly listed to the left, and swam in a direct line to encounter his sister. Of course, she hit him first, and they both went down, him laughing, tails and ears and fins and cloak, all twisted together, reunited at last. He hugged her close, before leaning himself away to look at her. "Damn, girl, you grew!" Though she went unnoticed by the two siblings, Seren hadn't missed the attention of another beta who had been nearby, and who was now approaching her from behind. The voice had a different timbre to it, since it now rose out of a human-like throat, but it was still the same Mect. "Looking for somebody, Angelfish?"

"So did you, ya big stud!" Echo playfully slapped her brother with her fin. She looked him over for a minute before pulling him into a big hug. "I missed you! How have you been?"
Seren, startled by the voice behind her, jumps and turns around to see a MUCH bigger Mect. "You scared the fins off me you big meanie! I'm not sure you deserve a hug now." She smirks at the bigger pony, with his new arms and legs. "I bet the lady fish like you better this way? You look good... for an old man." She swims backwards a little, just out of his reach.

His hands went over his heart, and Mect mock-staggered back a bit. "Ow, girlie, that hurts. And here I was, about to tell you that I wouldn't have believed you could get prettier if you tried, but here you were..." One leg pawed at the sand of the ocean bed, finally able to do so, as they now existed.
Cyabo hugged her back tightly, then ruffled her top fin. "I've been great!" He didn't let on that the stud bit had caused him to blush a little, because after all, if she didn't notice, it wasn't like anyone else would. "What about you? Pops has been worried that you'd grow up so pretty that some boy would swoop you away, and we'd never see you again."

Seren blushes a little at his words. " Oh you know I'm kidding!" She rushes forward to hug him. "How've you been? I haven't seen you in awhile. My Dad went on a trip and decided I wasn't allowed out of the tank without another adult with me. This is my first trip out with just me and Echo."
"Not to say they haven't tried... I've just not been interested." Echo blushes a little at being called pretty, even if it was indirectly. "Come here, I want you to meet someone." She grabbed her brother's fin and pulled him back in the direction she had come. Looking around for Seren and spotting her a little ways away, talking to their father.

Arms were great for times like this, holding and hugging and whatnot. Mect chuckled a bit. "I don't think your parents will ever stop being overprotective of you, will they?"
Cyabo let himself be dragged along, then blinked when he saw who they were heading towards. His dad, of course, was easy enough to recognize, but the other beta... Well, let's just say this was one of the first times he had ever seen his father with a ladyfriend and found himself desperately wishing to swap places.

"Seren, you slow poke!" Echo yelled at her as they drew closer to them, leaving her brother behind and throwing herself at her father as if she were a young fry still. "Daddy!"
"Probably not until some poor soul agrees to take an old maid like me." Serenata smiled as Echo launched herself at her father, watching the two together for a minute before noticing the other male Echo had ran off towards earlier. She felt as if the bottom had fallen out of her stomach, the Male was big, much bigger than any other male she'd ever seen, even almost bigger than Mect himself before his change. He was dark and handsome. She felt a blush creeping over her dark cheeks, thanking the sea gods that she was dark enough to hide it. She couldn't tear her eyes away from him; nor could she move, she was completely frozen on the spot.

Mect caught her as easily as he had when she was small, then snuggled her up against his broad chest. "Hey there, girlie! Look who went and got all grown up on me!"
Moving forward, not wanting to intrude too much, Cyabo had to think about the name that Echo had called this woman. Seren? *This* was Seren? Pretty didn't even begin to describe how she appeared to him; beautiful would be more fitting. Breathtaking, even, as he definitely felt like he had been suckerpunched. Gathering his wits about him, he managed to say, "You're Seren, eh? Heard a lot about you from Pops." Heard a lot about you from Pops? Yeah, that sounds *real* smooth. He winced inwardly.
