"Right see you there then." Kinu nodded and slowly got up from the porch she had been sitting on the whole time. Quickly she brushed off some dust and touched the pouch strapped to her leg, as if she was checking if she still had her gear with her, after which she started walking towards the training grounds. If I'm correct they should be somewhere over there. Because she was in no hurry she just casually strolled down the street, watching the little kids who ran around laughing, enjoying the buzz. Hmmm so a strategy? Kind of hard to make since I hardly know him. I know he'll be a lot stronger than me though, but that's not anything I haven't dealt with before... Perhaps I'll just wing it, since it's only a spar it should be alright.
Slowly Kinu was coming closer to the 26th training grounds and a minute later she was standing in the beautiful valley, just in time to see Roque appear. He moves underground? That's interesting and certainly very troublesome indeed for me. Being a more hands on kind of fighter Kinu got a little worried when she saw his way of moving. The needles won't do much when he's underground, so I'll have to force him to come out in some way.
"You ready?"

((I WAS waiting for Trowa to post, but forget it. XD))
Mayumi laughed at the question posed on her. While at this close proximity with her team, she observed and sensed every single breathing pattern, voice wavelength, speech accent, scent, character and personality that she could.
"Well, obviously, I have two genjutsu users and one taijutsu users; with me, that creates a well-rounded team", she said, while pointing to each one in turn. By this time, she already absorb all the information she needed to be able to tell where they were standing, even if they were standing completely still. "But we still need more practice."
"I'm getting kinda hungry though, anyone have the time?" she asked with a smile.

"I have absolutely no idea," Shinji stated. "But, It's probably late morning, I think. And, I'm not terribly hungry, myself." He stared into the sky, careful not to let his gaze settle on the sun. "Tell me, have you ever stopped to look at the sky? It's a great way to relax."
((Yes, that was indeed a nod toward Shikamaru. He's one of my favourite characters in Naruto.))

The twins shrugged at the question. In truth, they actually had no idea what time it was, but they knew Shinji was right in his assumption about it getting late in the morning.
"We would agree with Shinji and say that it is nearly noon according to sun position, but we aren't hungry in the slightest either. Also, no Shinji, we have not stopped to look at the sky unprovoked."
The twins found the sky comment a little random and unprovoked. It seemed odd that their teammate would bring up relaxation techniques when their sensei had asked if they had the time. They smirked a little behind his back, not quite sure what to make of it.

When all of his pupils had gathered in front of him, Ran asked about the next activity before Yuki could tell them. He nodded slightly at the Kiri-nin's question and began, "Well, it is getting rather close to lunch time. There's a little free time before then, so do what you will until then. A little later, let's all meet for lunch; I spotted a large ramen shop on our way over here. They have all sorts of food that I'm sure would please everybody's palettes. It's 4 buildings to the right of that Pagoda-style tower one over there." He casually pointed in the direction of the mentioned Shinto shrine. Having shown them the general location of the eatery, he said a quick but polite farewell and flitted away to his affairs.
Arriving at his apartment a few moments later, he went inside. Across the hall from his own apartment another door stood, not dusty (as it had been when he first awoke this morning). Perhaps I have a fellow Oto-nin here with me. Entering his own apartment, he sat down at a desk seemingly cluttered with papers. the rest of his apartment also reflected his desktop, organized chaos. He quickly found the right papers and read them over, flipping pages until finished. For a short time he followed suit with several other documents. Once done with about 1/3 of the documents, he stood and stretched.

Ran nodded a little, and offered a bow as Yuki left. Glancing to her team mates, she offered them a smaller bow. "I will be at the training grounds..." she stated, and then began headed in that direction, not leaving much room for any comments for anyone to come with, or even for her to say she didn't want anyone to come with. She was mostly going to observe whoever was there, anyways. She had contemplated returning to the apartment for some tea, but decided against it, since they were going out to lunch, later.
Traveling at a slower pace than they had traveled at when following their sensei, Ran got to observe the people moving about. There were lots more people than in Kirigakure, and she marveled lightly at them all. She also noticed a lot of shinobi, and even small groups of ANBU wandering around. That made her wonder, a little, but she dismissed the wonderings out of her mind and continued on her way.
Ran arrived at the training grounds, and went and climbed up the wall they'd been using for 'target practice', earlier. Sitting atop it, she could see all around the main clearing of the training ground, along with the river that ran near it. She also spotted a group of chuunin, with what appeared to be a Jounin, and then two other chuunin. She recognized the girl as her roommate, and decided to watch them.

The real Tonbo, still silently relaxing in his apartment with quill and paper, made one more swoop with his pen, finishing one kanji symbol. The real Tonbo readjusted his mask and created the first stroke of a second kanji below that of the first now-completed kanji.
Meanwhile, his 3 clones watched the goings-on of the new squads with mild interest. Nothing important was happening; though when the various teams began to split up, each clone fruther cloned, allowing one to follow each member of each squad. This more efficient means of observation let each of the now 12 clones focus on only one ninja's whereabouts and actions.

(( sheesh xD Tonbo takes a long time to write out kanji ))
Berai stood outside of the building he'd been working in, having been relieved for a small break of pure boredom. He'd sent a clone to his apartment to pick a few things up to help alleviate his boredom, and he was currently watching passer-byers go along with their days. He caught a glimpse of a gennin heading for the training grounds, and then a brief smattering of an ANBU outfit tailing her.
The oto-nin smirked, recognizing the mask, even if not many others' could. And I thought my job sucked... he thought to himself. As his own clone approached him, he retrieved a book from it before he released the jutsu. The book contained thoughts and plans so heavily coded, that sometimes it took Berai himself a few hours to read over what he'd written in the past. Nobody else could read it, which was why he found it safe to read it even in public. For the time being, it would be his entertainment, as he headed back into the building to continue on giving people missions, dealing with issues, and otherwise being driven crazy.

((Sorry about the OoC-only post. I confused referencing and somehow thought that both Yuki and Tonbo were in the same apartment building. Tonbo isn't referencing anybody since nobody is at his apartment building. Yuki is the person in Berai's apartment building since they are both Otogakure ninja. I just fixed it now. I hope I hadn't confused you as well, thus forcing you to post about Berai going back to an apartment building that isn't his just because of my own confusion in the first place. xp ))

Batafurai hissed a quiet 'yes' when Yuki-sensei announced a little free time then lunch at a ramen shop. She liked ramen. Bowing and giving a little wave, she punched the air. "Alright!" As she watched Ran walk away quickly and telling them that she was going to train, Batafurai waved and grinned. "Buh-bye! See you at lunch!" Her head flipped around to face her other teammate, Isaaku. "You wanna train with me? A little competition?" She made a fist with her left hand and lowered it to her chin. "A race through the training grounds, you up for it?" Batafurai's grin grew wider.

"Ready?" Roque grinned, looking at Kinu. He stiffened his stance a little, bring his arms in front of him like a boxer. "I've never been ready for anything. Stops me from expecting things, so northing's surprising." He repeated the speech the academy teacher had given them.
There's no way we can prepare you for everything, so we'll teach you to expect nothing. If you don't expect anything, you won't be surprised when it comes.
"Weird logic, but it works." Roque said, suddenly slackening his stance, and pulling out the large book he had strapped to his back. He held it at arms length and squinted at it. "This is a book my dad wrote. It's all about medical stuff, techniques and whatnot that he developed. I'm no medic, so it isn't much good to me." He looked up to Kinu with a sideways grin. "If you try and pound the living snot out of me with everything you've got, I'll gift wrap this thing for you." He dropped the book at that point. It made a soft thud in the grass, and Roque did as well as he vanished below the valley floor. He came back out to Kinus' left, about a foot away with his right fist held high. "Deal?"

"Well then", Mayumi said, "since there's still some time until lunch, I'll leave the decision up to the three of you as to what you guys want to do next."
She smiled coyly at them while adjusting her archer gloves.
"Whether you want to relax," she indicated Shinji, "or whatever. It's up to you this time around . . ."

"What would you like to do, brother?" "I suppose we could treat our jonin sensei to lunch."
The Kurama clan had regained its power ever since the fall of its ancestors. They used their genjutsu, several businesses, and ninjas to amass wealth, only accessible to the main house. The side houses were allowed to stay in the mansion and given a rather hefty salary that kept them in upper middle class, but main house members like Kento and Kenso were given special priveledges. Ever since their Idous running amok, there weren't many main house members to speak of, but the twins still weren't first in line to be the head of the clan. They were actually fifth, but they were on their way and still got all the benefits.
"Mayumi-sensei, Shinji, would you like to join us for lunch at our house?" They felt they needed to know their teamates and vice versa. The proper rules of cooperative fighting is to know the person, so you may predict movements and adjust accordingly. The twins had a special talent between each other, but that talent didn't exist between Mayumi and Shinji, so they'd have to rely on knowledge of the person, and there was no time like the present.

Isaaku's first thought was to head to a bathhouse, but Batafurai interrupted him mid-thought. He nodded, "Sure, just gimme a moment to get my stuff back on." Isaaku was gathering his things again after throwing them on the ground so he could easier get it all back on. He made a sweeping stroke with his arms and smiled at the satisfyingly loud crack and pops made by them. "'Kay, ready when you are." "Maybe I should give her a head start, no, she may have something up her sleeve..." He settled into a ready position, and thought of a few things that may come in handy for their race.
