She nodded at that as she smiled down at her notebook, she really did love that notebook.

"Yes, the moon is very special to me."

Even though it's effects seemed to by pass her all the time she still slept with her curtains open so the moon light could come in. Full moons of course were her favourite.

She giggled, it took a few seconds for her to sort through those words, but when she understood she thought it was an excellent. If for nothing else else than the fact it was the ability to see a flower she had never seen before.

"I would love to," she replied.

Adonai clapped his hands excitedly, then slipped off the couch and ran towards the kitchen shouting in the elven tongue.

"If you need anything else," Ulani told Donovan, pushing her chair back a bit so that she could scoop up her son and plant him firmly on her lap, "just let us know. You're helping us, after all, even if it's indirectly."

And then she turned to her son, to hear what he had to say.

Ulrich chuckled. "It looks like he's gotten used to Cindy," he told Donovan. "Apparently he's invited her to go with him, Ulani and Aliya to look at the cereus two nights from now."

Adonai giggled and clapped his hands again. "Pretty!" he told Donovan, forgetting the fact that he was still effectively a stranger. "Pretty frowers!"

Ulani laughed. "It's a plant that blooms only one night a year, on the first full moon of summer. It's not much to look at the rest of the time, but for the one night when it does bloom ... it's almost like magic itself. The scent, the beauty ..."

Ulrich shrugged and leaned back in his chair. "If flowers are your thing," he quipped. "I'm not saying they're not beautiful, but ... I guess after seeing them a few thousand times it's not such a big deal to me anymore."

Ulani smiled. "Yes, she had mentioned that," she nodded. "And that she was here to learn. Perhaps there are other plants that she would enjoy learning about ... and really, this is the best place in the entire Four Lands to learn about them. We get the same weather, at one point or another, that rules all of the other areas of the land, so we have the most variety of plants."

Adonai squirmed off Ulani's lap and ran into the other room again, where he clambered back up onto the couch next to Cindy, giggling.

"Cinee come 'if us, see pretty frowers," he told her, nodding and giggling. "Mama say come, Papa say come, Cinee papa say come!"

Donovan nodded, "Well, it will keep her busy, and it's good for her. She hasn't had anything new to learn in quite a long while I believe."

Since Cindy had been the first and therefore had learned what her other siblings were just begining to or finishing to learn. There was after all, only so much Kara herself could teach.

He watched as Adonai ran back out and mused he should get ready to go, "I should be preparing to go."

Cindy studied the wooden horses, she had once heard Jin was given on while he was teething, she wondered absently of one of those horses was one that he bit. She hopped off the couch and kneeled beside him, "Okay, if you don't mind," she smiled taking one of the horses.

It had been a long time since she played, probably not since Triton and Trisha were little like her.

Ulrich nodded. "I'll go get one, then," he said as he left the room.

Ulani also rose from her chair and started clearing the table from breakfast. "Take the map with you," she told Donovan as she worked. "And you might not want to lose it. If you ever don't need it anymore, you could sell it for quite a bit of gold."



Adonai picked up a few of the other horses and started prancing them around as if one was chasing the other. He made horse-like sounds as he played, and once in a while exclaimed something in elvish, and off and on he hummed a bit of a song.
